Ok so I'm born and raised in texas. Never driven in snow. I'm astonished at how that truck got stuck and just slid around everywhere. Mad respect to you everyone who lives and functions daily up north. Yall are nuts.
Maine is the best state to live in by far I mean it's may 27th and today's high is 50 degrees lol it's funny though because I can't handle the heat of the south I lose weight fast
Becca and Riley are great. Quality content channels. Great video Norm. Only spent about $2,000, traveled 1,200 miles and used $10k of gear and accommodations to catch a 10oz white perch. Just like anywhere else, they aren’t always biting. I’ve had some stellar catching days on ice and it’s one of my favorite things to do. I don’t get to do it anymore now that I live in Tennessee though.
I I am born in raised in Maine and there’s no better feeling than having your own ice shack and being able to say I built this. Also love your content me and my best friend love your videos😁
Hey dude, I'm from Maine and i immediately recognized that camp. Not gonna out your spot but the lake is amazing in the summer. Try snorkeling there cause it's a life changing event.
As a Floridian who never seen snow until I was an adult also, you my friend are a trouper. I wouldn’t have been able to handle such cold weather for so long. Great video
you could handel it! here in Maine you need to dress for weather. but I gave my $500 Eskimo tent away. and went back to old style wood shanty. all comforts of home and always warm.
Had the great idea as a teen to build a ice shack out of light wood and clear plastic wrap. Could stand in it and see all the tip ups. Yes you could. I put it on a steel tracked sled. It was amazing till the wind caught it. It took off and there was not one of us who could run it down. It just went out to the center of the lake. Went and went till we could no longer see it. Gone. It still could be out there on lake Ontario. Like the Dutchman.
It’s always funny seeing people in the snow for the first time! I didn’t see snow till I was 5 and was so amazed now I walk outside in a tshirt when it’s snowing lol spent much childhood going back and forth between Florida and Michigan. Miss it
Bro this has been one of the most eventful funny and entertain videos Ive seen so far. I love this episode. Seems kind of scary being out there in middle of no where.
Please do this again!!! 😂😂😂 this was so much fun to watch! I grew up ice fishing and watching you try it for the first time was awesome. Hopefully you enjoyed it.
You should try UTAH!! I’m telling you we have so many big lakes and small ponds tucked in some beautiful mountains. So much content could be made. Camping, hunting, fishing, etc.
Deserves way more subscribers makes great content and the edits get better every time! These longer vids feel like watching history channel with the video production keep it up norm!
So everyone knows the solution to strapping tents and sheds down properly. 1 you will need about 50 feet of rope. I carry 100 feet 2 you will need a anchor of some sort that you can use to secure in the ice. I use retractable safety fall anchor with self made grinder imprints to grab the ice in a 3\4 inch hole about 4-6 inches in the ice and tie down from there. I do 1 high and 1 low on each corner in heavy winds or if I'm not around
You are such a trooper. Many greenhorn would have gave up already but you made this video very interesting to watched regardless the lack of fish caught. Kudos to u.
If you move to Wisconsin you can ice fish almost all the time except for when there’s open water I’m pretty sure it’s like December through late March and Minnesota for a ice fishing season. But Wisconsin it’s early March
I watch ice fishing videos every now and then and ice fish myself. Very rare overnight and for a really good reason. What do most people have to do in the morning that none of these videos are even mention ?
That seems like fun! Here in North Sweden their called Arcs you know Noahs arc ? Mostly used for burbot fishing when its stupid cold like now in late January and February .bä But you need to Create a better Boggie/pulley system down in the bearing lower parts of the arc just make something in steel if you can build that youve got to know someone who own a weld . From side to side in metal and in s triangle form with a simple snowmobile hookup system and your set ! And it will be durable through out the 2030:s . 4pm ? When does the sun go down over there ? We only have about 3-5h of sunligt now in these months . Regards Paul Roger Nilsson
Where the heck have you been?! I was almost going to put out an amber alert. My first suspect would have been Becca. Haha Glad your back dude! Let’s go 🔥
I’m from maine I’m born and raised ice fishing is unlike anything you’ve ever done it’s very sorreal and actaully I got caught in a -35 degree blizzard and I was fine because I had a heater but I caught a 15 pound pike on Sebago Lake in that blizzard
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this camp to rent for 1 week at a time, but it was this past summer. I remember that front with the super tall peeks. that's so cool to see you here!!
Hey norm I love your content I wish you lived over here in Texas so I could meet you. By the way I would love to see another challenge with subscribers.

I'm glad they said the area. Millinocket is remote. My uncle had a camp in Lake View that was 8 miles in the woods. I grew up ice fishing, I don't fish anymore, but I realized love this content. I'm so stoked that you've been in Maine. I'm not sure if I caught what lake you were on.
Cramp ons are your friend. Can’t emphasize enough that they will help you walking, and prevent serious head injuries. Especially during the melt/freeze times of the season.
What a challenge you did …. Next go try sum Noodling for Big Catfish that would really be something to try …. You gota come out West an try some Trout Fishing with a Fly Pole …. Stay Safe out there ….

Maine is the best state to live in by far I mean it's may 27th and today's high is 50 degrees lol it's funny though because I can't handle the heat of the south I lose weight fast
2 best things to have in snow and ice are a 4 wheel drive truck and a winch its almost impossible to get stuck
I still don’t understand how people can live in such insane snow sometimes it’s just annoying if you live in it
Im Alive everybody

Riley is a champion
Can’t wait to fish again! The fishing will be a little better next trip! 🤙🏽
I camped for 96 hours on ice in a tent... A shack would be a cake walk!
The ice inside the fish shack is from the propane heater. Propane is moist leaves condensation
Love when he does longer vids

Snow shovels are a must, but also carry ashes in a container and floor mats work in a pinch in case you get stuck in the snow.
