Absolutely my friend. I will never enter a cave.
Takes a special kind of person to think "Oh yes, I want to squeeze into that impossibly narrow tube of nigh impenetrable rock that may require whole teams of emergency workers to extract me if I get stuck; and inspire many TH-cam channels to talk about my idiocy. Going in now!"

Who else is on a caving horror binge in their warm bed? Also it's kind of surprising the areas rescue workers can reach with enough time. Seems like these amateur cave explorers end up putting a lot of other people's lives at risk and for what?
I have a lot of respect for the rescue people that attempt to save others trapped. They are courageous to say the least.
Risking their own lives to help save idiots
I have noticed something about all these cave deaths , the victim gets trapped in a small but liveable area , but then they stupidly go further down ‘trying’ to turn around and then go into an extremely lethal position … why not stay out and stay humble
It's not even that for me. What gets me the most is "if you have to exhale, you can't fit" that they don't seem to consider. It's one thing to squeeze through the equivalent of a fence onto an area you can see. But blindly going somewhere you obviously can't fit in the hope it will widen is, literally suicide.

@seadweller386 finding a wider area ahead happens all the time, hence why you don't hear even more stories like this... one of the first rules of caving is never go in head first when you are unfamiliar with the cavern system for this very reason. That's how the nutty putty tragedy occurred

Yes! I have to take a break from these videos and come back. Too much anxiety.
Wanna go caving? Play Minecraft! You get the full experience. Exploration, caves, lava, the possibility of drowning, tight spaces, getting lost, starving to death, falling from high places, stalagmites, bats, skeletons (clearly from those who perished before you), others monsters, darkness, the potential of sufficating, multiple ways to die and fear around every corner. The only thing different, instead of finding only mud, dirt and stone in a real cave, you actually find treasures like dimond and gold in game.
Play this game and u get the whole caving experience from the safety of your home. Lmaoo.
This is about as much caving as I will ever do. Hahaha. But keep these stories coming, they are great to listen to, help pass idle time, and remind me why i play games instead of burrowing underground. 😂
I've gone spelunking/cave diving many times in my life. The difference here? We didn't go into tight, narrow passages you could barely fit into, we didn't go on days when there was even a presumption of rain near. We didn't swim through anything in the caves or crawl through running stream beds that could randomly flood. We repelled down into huge open chasms. We were in large groups (8 or more) and two senior divers with each group were trained in CPR. We never ventured off alone, we brought SCBA's just in case for safety incase there were pockets of methane, carbon dioxide or low oxygen level areas. We air monitored to make sure of adequate oxygen. The problem with all these scenarios is they (the victims) are always lacking some safety aspect. I don't cave dive anymore, and probably never will again at my age but to spend your last moments suffocating in the dark alone like some of these victims makes me feel lucky we were so prepared.
OMG such a good story you made out a live I will drown in panic 😭
But it wasn't (at least fully) luck, y'all intentionally prepared well and mitigated risk. In this specific scenario it seems like they were lacking almost every safety aspect. I suppose some people don't know what they don't know or overestimate abilities/challenges, but that is very dangerous to do with potentially lethal activities where help is not readily accessible. Glad you enjoyed and lived thru your cave experiences, and I hope others prepare as you did
I’ve been in a cave of water once or however I should word it, was with my family and an instructor, was really cool! Didn’t feel constricted or anything, was really fun. I don’t understand how people can say going through super tight areas is fun though. There was a bit of a narrow area but even that wasn’t crawl worthy.
In all videos that I saw I never saw a wonder in the cave.. Just mud, darkness and tight space.. No mater how hard I try, I cant get whats the thrill in crawling in mud, Water, Dark and cold..
here in northern germany, in the Harz, a middle high mountain range, we have caves that are totally save, well lighted and have breathtaking formations, and are really worth exploring. you stay on the fenced path, no squeezes or crawls, by this you also preserve the glorious sights for future generations, and you are guaranteed to get back out through the gift store.
