  • Eleven National Championships, eight Heisman Winners, 25 Rose Bowl victories... these are just a few of the reasons the Cardinal and Gold don't fear the quacks of the Oregon zero"oooooo"s!! With a likely defeat on the horizon, I drive my RV up to Eugene to make some noise and let 'em hear the Fight On spirit that never says die!

Thanks for this. I’ve been to a hundred duck games but it’s fun to see it from the other side. I remember going to a USC game at Autzen once and Marvin Bernard. (Sam Francisco giants) was there in all his USC apparel. I sat with him and we totally hit it off. He bought me a ton of beers and just had a time. Oregon won that game too btw. Go ducks. Enjoy the win. The Ducks had a truly great year (for them). One of the best in school history. Truly remarkable if you're comparing it to their high water mark. Of course, the trophy case is still empty but hey... you did beat SC while they're down in the regular season. Something to tell your grandkids about. LOL! Thanks for the watch and comment. i'll also tell my grandkids about the 2007 USC team that was ranked #1 unanimously preseason, under hall of fame, super bowl winning coach, pete carrol and lost to Oregon. I'll tell them about how in 2009 USC was ranked #5 and lost to #10 Oregon. Since you love SC players who went on to the NFL, i'll tell them about the 2001 Trojans, with 32 future PRO players including two future heisman winners, a future NFL defensive player of the year, 5 first round draft picks-4 in the top 20 and 1 #1 overall draft pick. I'll tell them about how that stacked team lost to Oregon. Or i'll tell them about the 2012 SC that was, once again, ranked #1 preseason and lost to Oregon. Man, i'll have to tell them about a lot times Oregon kicked SC while they were "down." I guess its kind of necessary to apologize. I'm sorry your team craps the bed so often. I'm sorry you feel the need to use that as an excuse. I'll give you this, SC put the hammer down in 2005 and whooped Oregon. Its a darn shame SC had to vacate that win do to cheating. You still consider that a win though. Right? Even when your team cheats its ok, because its your team, right? I'm just assuming that is your thought process since your Heisman and National Championship counts both included vacated and stripped winners. See, this is why people at the stadium were mostly generous and kind to you. We wouldn't want to kick you while you're down. Especially when it's clear your mental capacity for deep thought pertaining to the historical significance of the statements you make gets interfered by instant gratification. And it goes to show in how red your face was turning by the alcohol you couldn't stop drinking to mask your upset feelings. Go Ducks! @@philthepayne8278 #OJdidntDoit

You obviously know nothing about the situation if you think SC was cheating during the Reggie Bush era. Do your homework, man. Also, he's getting his Heisman back soon, which should've never been taken away to begin with. Why wouldn't we count those as wins? We won those championships and he won his Heisman on the field. Sorry 'bout it. Until you all win anything of consequence keep your mouths shut. Ya'll are like the little brother that wants to be relevant so bad. The highlight you have to talk about is being the spoiler of a great team that overlooked you on their way to another possible nattty. Slow clap... you got us. Give me a break. The Oregon Zerooooooooos! And BTW, it's rather unbecoming to make things personal in a sports debate. What's next, a your mamma joke? I guess that's what happens when you've got nothing more of substance to say. You're obviously showing deficits in your own mental capacity by doing so. Be better. FTFO! @@jailblazer

what have we learned? you don't have to fear a team to lose. Past heisman winners and national championships don't win you the game on saturday. And least but not least, it never reigns in Autzen Stadium.

Fear has/had nothing to do with it. Everyone was pretty sure SC was going to lose that game. This year has been a disaster and Oregon is on a roll. The fact that they kept it close is a testament to the Fight On spirit that has epitomized our storied program for so many decades. Does your heritage win you every game against every opponent? Of course not. But it does tell a tale of long-term performance, grit, and commitment to excellence. 11 National Championships says a lot more than beating a blue blood program (while they're down) during the regular season and acting like you belong in a conversation that is had way past your bedtime! Thanks for the watch and the comment. We'll get you next time. FIGHT ON!

@@philthepayne8278 Congrats on your three national championships during the great depression, a true testament to your fight on spirit. What makes me smile is knowing my wife got her Masters in Business Law from SC and yet she loves the spirit and camaraderie in Autzen Stadium. It just goes to show that being around people like you can be annoying. You might find it hard to understand that we, in Oregon, don't need the national championship banners you seemed so eager to find. Oregon Football is about having something to yell about for 3 months of the year. There's only two major colleges in the state. Professionally, we have the Portland Trail Blazers. We have a very deep, close connection with the teams. How many Major colleges do you have in california? UCLA, Stanford, USC, Berkeley, Fresno State, San Jose State, San Diego State and 4 more D1 football teams. How many professional football teams? 3. How many pro baseball teams? 5. How many pro basketball teams? 4. How many pro hockey teams? 3. 11 national championships. Good job including 2004 in your count. You know, the one that was stripped from them for cheating. Good Job Including 1928 and 1939 as well. So, 3 natty's during the great depression, one of which was 1939 when you tied Oregon 7-7 to begin the year. You're claiming 1928 as well, the season that has Georgia Tech Listed as National Champions also. 8 heismans. including the one that was stripped. so 7. Even if you discount the heismans or national championships stripped or arguable you have an amazing track record. The fact that you have that kind of stain on your record makes it hard to believe it hasn't happened on other occasions. My point is, the fact that you include them just goes to show what kind of a fan those teams attract. But hey, Better luck next year. Congrats this year on beating Cal by 1 and colorado by 7. Oregon's score against those teams are a combined 105-25. SC was 98-90. YIKES. you scored one touchdown less and gave up almost 4x the amount of points to the opponents. Is that what you meant by, "flashy, at times." Oregon's points on the season is 574-225 and SC was 502-417. You're telling me that not only did SC score less on the season, their opponents scored almost twice as much as Oregon opponents. Utah Beat SC in Memorial Coliseum but Oregon Beat Utah 35-6 in Utah. SC is 5-8 against Oregon in the last 20 years. All that to say, thanks for the video. Happy to see an outsider's perspective. Hope you realized in the tunnel when you were hooting and hollering about SC you only got a rise out of one guy. Unlike memorial coliseum where you're liable to get stabbed. And some SC fans will be proud of that fact. Just goes to show, once again, the kind of fan your team attracts. Please, come back again. keep stimulating the Autzen Stadium economy. We'll gladly take your money and talk about how pretentious you were on the calm drive home. Go Ducks!

Of course there's been some success but my point is that there is really no comparison between USC (one of the top 5 blue blood programs in the country) and Oregon (never won a natty and has one Heisman). Oregon is not a powerhouse program but their fans act like they are. We've been down since the sanctions (way too long) and in the meantime lesser programs have gotten way too comfortable. True, usc has a great history, and no one can take that away... but wake up boomer. They have been mediocre for nearly 20 years. Oregon made a commitment to be good at football in the 90s and has done just that. They haven't won a national championship, but played in 2 and should have been in a 3rd back in 2001. Thats great considering how the program was previous and they are getting even better.

I'm actually a millennial but right on. "Almost" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades! The future is extremely bright for the University of Southern California! Phil Knight and Nike's deep pockets of support are the only reason you guys are even challenging for relevancy. The problem is you guys think you've arrived and you haven't. USC athletics has been and will continue to be the standard. We've been down since the sanctions (albeit way too long) but we're on our way back. @philthepayne8278 I'm going to continue to call you a boomer until you rid yourself of boomer thoughts...of course, Phil Knight and money in general is the reason oregon became relevant. They made a choice to invest in top tier infrastructure, coaching, sports science, marketing, and more. Welcome to 2023. If you have been in hibernation for a few years, wake up and realize you can pay players now. Usc has just as much money, if not more, so don't use excuses.
Oregon has out developed and recruited usc for the last 20 years. Why is this important - the kids being recruited today have never seen a prominent usc in their lifetime. They have seen good oregon teams. And don't even get me started on the atmosphere of games...usc has one of the worst in the pac 12. Nothing compared to oregon, washington, or utah...shit even arizona.
I grew up in newport Beach so I am very familiar with usc and even went to school with kids that went on to play at usc. My grandfather, uncle, and father in law all have season tickets and have for some time.
Look, college football is great because of the love people have for their teams, and I respect your admiration for usc.
These two programs are in vary different places. Oregon has built a solid team, starting in the trenches and working from there. Usc is now a finesse team with a few elite players. If that's what you want, then fight on...

What I meant was you guys are one sugar daddy donor away from being irrelevant. But instead, Nike makes you cool and flashy. All those uniform combinations and still no hardware. You don't have a winning tradition up in Eugene. It's no secret that SC has struggled for far too long since our last run of back to back national titles. But you're kidding yourself if you think recruits don't know SC puts players in the NFL. Always has- and at a ridiculously high rate. They're well aware of the brand and what it means to play for the Trojans. Yeah, we've been down for awhile and in the meantime have let lesser schools creep up, but if you don't see what's going on in Los Angeles then you haven't been paying attention.
