Tony C. Great. That's my goal. The engine swap vid this came from is tough because after the blower is off its virtually the same as pulling any 4.6, so I hope people still use the video even though it's for a cobra. There are also a lot of steps like removing the blower that people won't look for in an engine pull video, so that's why I'm editing so much of the same video (not sure if you saw this came from the engine pulling video)
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage haha I was just watching that video! I just got a 2.3 whipple for my car so been doing a lot of research. I also have to instal the egr in my car since I’m in northern Utah so I have to do emissions previous owner lived in Idaho so he removed it
Do you have to remove blower to access spark plugs on the throttle body side? I have a series iv saleen kit on 99gt , several people are saying i have to remove entire blower just to access spark plugs. Seems like a lot of work but i am unable to start the vehicle and cannot perform a complete spark test
trendy bromandolorian You shouldn’t have to, but it depends on the setup. On mine I have to remove the extension from the ratchet, drop it down into the cylinder head in order for it to clear, then re-attach the extension. Some superchargers also have a removable elbow (this whipple does not unfortunately).
You think I can get away with unbolting the manifold, throttle body cable, and front IC hoses ONLY to lift my leaking crossover tube ? My idea is to lift couple inches of my supercharger and get the crossover out. Thanks
EAbraham.R It should be pretty close. I would try it, and if not, just pull the bolts that mount the supercharger to the lower intake manifold and lift it the extra inch you need
Vincent Laudi yes- here is the link. In my other videos I remove the entire engine, so if you don't find what you need in this link, check out my other videos th-cam.com/video/DKb5ldeqXjo/w-d-xo.html

Danny Johnson aweaome thank you!! if all I am doing is swapping out blowers, do I have to pull radiator and fan or can I just get away with just draining? pulling 2.8 kennebell from buddies car to swap out with my eaton and installing 3.4 whipple on his.
Vincent Laudi yeah, the car's radiator is a complete different system. You don't need to touch it. Just disconnect the heat exchanger hoses near the blower and drain them if you want.

the stock fuel rails can be run with the whipple as well (at least the 2.3L). Same process- but if you want to leave the lower intake manifold in and pull just the blower you can also do that. Might be a little difference, but it’s the same process as shown in this video
Danny Johnson Ok thanks for the advice, just wanted hear a hands on opinion since Lethal Performance recommended a rail swap for the 3.4/4.0L. Haven’t made up my mind on which one I’ll choose, but again THANKS FOR ANOTHER HOW-TO VID!
Hey Danny J! Love all your videos! Quick question on the stock Eaton supercharger oil, would you or do you use Mobil1 or supercharger oil? Thanks again!!!
I need to do this to my stock blower and clean out the intercooler. What would we do without Danny Johnson?
Great vid as usual Danny, this will help a lot of folks here and on SVTP.

Thanks for this. Doing a whipple swap/ e85 fuel system all by myself to my OX 03 cobra. Wish me luck!
nice!
Did you do it?
Oh man you have everything on your channel. That’s awesome
Ha ha, thanks!
What TB is that? Does it have the hot idle issue that KB TB have? I believe it gets stuck or something.
what oil does the whipple 2.3 supercharger use?
Are the whipples just plug and play when swapping it out for a stock eaton?
Yeah, they are all pretty similar on install th-cam.com/video/L9vX6JeppDk/w-d-xo.html

where's the whipple supercharger oil dip stick located ?
There is a sight glass window on the front like an air compressor
Danny Johnson’s Garage i did see that last night . thank you 🙏🏻

Danny Johnson I hope I don’t have to do that, I have fore fuel rails and a Kenne bell. The space is the worst!!!
do you have to remove radiator and fans? noticed you were missing all that up front. and drain all radiator fluid?

Is this the same process for removing the stock Eaton? I know you have to run different fuel rails for the whipple so just wondering.
