    Guys, my knowlodge on MBTI isn't that extent, so maybe I'm putting this on the wrong terms, but I guess you'll get the message: OPS needs to work on its Te. It seems to me like Shannon and maybe even both of you have Te, but the channel DOES NOT. You guys are great and you bring great content, but PLEASE make it easier for the tribe to navigate through the videos. There's no organization and no patterns to find the videos, so it's very complicated to make an ordered and profound study of the complexities of MBTI.
    I'm not sure if I was able to clearly express the issue, but here are some solutions:
    1- Playlists: at first, a very simple way of organizing an youtube channel. Just subcategorize the videos using whatsoever criteria would be really helpful. Now it'll be a little harder for you but we'd be really happy :)
    2- Titles: this one is just something to use in the future. I love the titles making fun of the function etc, but maybe try to put them on the thumb. It makes it harder for someone who's looking for a video on that specif subject to find it.
    Well, that's it. I don't know why I made a list if there were only two topics. Maybe it's because it'll be easier for you guys to read it...
    ps sorry for my bad english etc etc

      Te is basically about just getting the job done, right? I think that's what they've been doing. I agree they'd benefit from what you pointed out, but that sounds more like Si - labelling, organizing, sequencing, etc. As an INTP lead consume, I can appreciate the need for more Si, but my Ne is also happy to consume their chaotically arranged tidbits XD

      Is it in any way shape or form possible for me (I am someone who's really introverted, trying to work on myself bla bla bla) to be De savior? I just feel like what other ppl think of me has such a HUGE impact on my confidence that it's impossible for me to be IxxP. Like literally, I would irl tell you that I started working out to "push limits of my body", to finally live healthier etc etc, but like the reality is that I just wanted that girl to like me. That's it. All there is to my motivation. I feel like idk 60-70% of my motivation towards self improvement comes from other ppl making me feel like I'm not good enough. And idk if I am ExxJ or IxxP when I care about other ppls opinions of me like soooo much. I don't know if I'm on the right path. Rn I am trying to change behavior of other ppl towards me by closing in and working on myself and trying to become more "worthy". But like I don't know if this is my savior or demon state.. scince I was like 10 I've spent almost all my time playing videogames and watching yt etc, so my social skills are quite fucked up, and it really messed with me when I screw up in front or with other people which makes me think that I am De, but at the same time, for the past 7 years I am isolated (not literally but like super not social) bc I like to spend time this way. Like I really do care what other ppl think of me but am not willing to even spend time with them. I really don't know how would I do that either, I'm probably missing so many opportunities but this is the "you don't know what you don't know" kind of thing so I really don't know. I don't even know why I wrote this comment, altho it seem quite horribly written do I guess my De is my demon? Also does this sound like me venting out ideas or emotions? (Fe or Te?) I can't really tell 😅

Idk, what I wrote was 100% from a demon function, so idk if it was too messy or something like that. Altho there is some stress of me not being able to organize my thoughts, maybe I might have demon Ne idk, but I feel like I've listed like a million "concepts" so idk if Ne would really be a demon. I'm now basically 100% certain I have Te, the very first description of the olive situation is basically how I am with any single thing I am doing for someone else, sometimes I don't even want to make it perfect out of kindness, I just don't want the other person to change their mind and say they would have preferred it differently. If you really Fe want to please someone and think olives are Fe valuable, then you put the olives in a little side dish. That way they can silently Fi/Ti add /eat them, or not. Fe harmony = buffet style. I guess the ‘fuss’ becomes something Se physical that way, which might still annoy some people? Do Si users dislike buffet style pick-n-choose meals? I can imagine some might think it’s sloppy to not offer a complete meal in one...

      I have Si last, and I'm prolly most comfortable with the Taco Tuesday kind of setup, if the dish has those variables. Dislike buffets, tho. Quantity has pretty much compromised quality at that point.

    • @AK-jt7kh
      @AK-jt7kh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I’m an INTP and I love having control over my food. Sometimes I like to eat things in a certain order. Sometimes I want more of one thing and less of the other.
      But what I don’t like is having to assemble my own wraps and sandwiches because they’re always messy and falling apart, and I hate when Subway makes me pick literally everything on my sandwich if they already made their sandwich...number things.
      Like if I say a number 7, why do you have to ask me how it’s made? You gave me numbers, I chose a number. Make my sandwich please. I shouldn’t be responsible for telling you how to build this sandwich. Anyways, I chose a number 7 because I want to try a number 7. That doesn’t count if the number 7 is a variable item. Because then if I like it I can’t get the same number 7 when I come back. Also - I didn’t research this. I’m not an educated sandwich maker. You are the person with the skills and experience. It’s your responsibility to produce a finished product and if I like it I’ll, once again, order, and pay for your sandwich.
      But no. I go to Subway and I get a cheap Wordpress template delivered by some high school student they pulled out of class that doesn’t know where he is or why he is there, and I’m in charge of ordering him around to make my sandwich like he’s the sandwich slave.
      Okay. So you can tell I have issues with subway. But what I would like is if Subway just put all their food items out and let me make my own sandwich. Then I don’t have to try to Fe navigate a conversation with you while I conceptualize the right way to complete this task.
      I don’t like my sandwiches seasoned with social interactions. It ruins the experience 😂

    • @AK-jt7kh
      @AK-jt7kh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For the record, my brother, who is a sensory dom that loves to cook, usually lets us choose our food items buffet style now. Every once in a while though he gets this thing where we all get the same plate of food. I much prefer the buffet style thing. When we get the same plate of food I feel like if I don’t eat it all I’ll hurt his feelings, and I know he worked hard to make that food, but there’s certain things I’m less keen on than other things and I wasn’t that hungry. So eating a whole chicken breast, for instance, is out. Yet if I eat half a chicken breast - I now wasted that foot item by half eating it. So good job for me - I suck 👏
      Of course I never think this critically when people offer me delicious free food. Ever. I’m always just pleased to be fed. I am a simple creature. There’s no way I would ever go through this much effort to produce such a glorious product, but I can absolutely appreciate the end result when someone else does it for me.
      Honestly just the fact that it required no effort on my part makes the food taste good. It’s like a free pass to not have to worry about a whole bunch of things related to feeding myself.
      Also it makes me feel special when someone goes out of their way to feed me nice food. Like...I would never do this - but here you are doing this with your time and energy to show your affection - and I appreciate that deeply.
      One of my favorite things about my ex-boyfriend was that he fed me. I put up with a lot of his bs because he actually hand made real food like biscuits and gravy. I also gained like 80 lbs, and am steadily losing weight now that I’m single and on self-feed. 😂
      You probably forgot about this comment but in case you didn’t - that’s my thought process regarding this topic.

      Lol! I am Fi/Ne, and when I was a kid I would always say a statement and then go, "Right?" I wanted that validation. As an adult I see myself doing it by saying a fact, but saying it in a way that it sounds like I don't know, which is kind of bizarre. Like I will know listeria (a bacteria) grows in dirt. And then I will say, "But doesn't listeria grow in dirt?" And they will go, "I don't know." And then it is kind of just left like that with them thinking I don't know, but I know for a fact that it does. But it is so hard for me to just say, "But listeria grows in dirt." I am not sure why I do that.

    This is the "typology" validation I've always been looking for, this right here. I am Fe dominant, which has a very Christ-like flavor, so I've always been overly concerned that I'm playing the victim too much. Added with a lifetime of being "the scapegoat" in a narassistic family of domestic abuse (cops, go figure), I now have the thin string of fringe science validation that I was correct all along by loving myself anyway and living in complete defiance of my wonderfully successful/ carefully abusive family. My whole life I wasn't being a victim, I was being tortured. In a life of being invalidated, this has given me some of the most useful validation. I'm so thankful to have objective theory and to see the frequency of a truth fine-tuned from Jung to science- it is a comfort and hope going into this new generation of collective understanding.

      @@lilyluna4155 Same, but I've learned maladaptive coping mechanisms to cope. Ignore my Fe in groups and use my Ne with confidence rather than shut down and go into a Ti Si loop in the corner. It works, but I annoy people and ramble, 1 on 1, i'm solid. In a group everyone dislikes it. Thus making my insecure Fe get more validation and it gets worse. At this point I can talk people's ears off and actively listen, but as soon as I even think about Fe, or look at body language I'm convinced people hate me and shut down. If i'm in a Ti-Si loop I'd rather be by myself. And if something happens that actually shows I'm rejected during that my Ti turns to demon Fi and I am incredibly triggered and sensitive to just being there, and will go off at people. I'm socially ambiverted too so I don't want to stay in a Ti-Si loop forever unless i'm sick of people.
      Makes me think the INTP stereotype is actually a damaged INTP who literally never uses any Extroverted Functions and is in a Ti-Si loop and that is their comfort zone, worse, when they're always thinking inwards the Ne becomes Ni and they reject Fe, so Fi is what they use when triggered. The less time I spend thinking about keeping my body alive, the more time I can spend trying to figure out the things that could help humanity, like how you could theoretically create an insulated pocket of spacetime to encapsulate something (like a ship or a person or whatever), and because distortions in spacetime can move faster than the speed of light, it would allow us to create warp drives, teleportation, maybe even time travel.
      Anyway, whatever's easiest for the person preparing the meal is fine. I'm rarely paying attention when I'm eating anyway.

I like to sew, and he needs a good mask (because he's the one who braves the apocalyptic world we live in now), and I've gone through four different patterns trying to find the "perfect" mask for him. Last night I finished what I considered my BEST attempt. It not only looked amazing, I thought it would fit really well and was super excited. I walk into where he's gaming and wait for him to die in game before speaking (I don't want to be the cause of him dying, so I don't speak, but I DO want him to die so I CAN speak). I'm like, "Here it is!" He tries it on, says, "Yeah, it's great. Thanks." And I stand there, waiting for more.... Always. Like a fucking neurotic idiot. As if suddenly he's going to change and be like, "Holy crap honey... NO ONE has ever done anything so thoughtful and amazing for me before in my entire life!!" As usual, I started to find flaws in the stupid mask. It's utterly ridiculous. I see it after the fact, but in the moment I'm like, "Does he really like it? Does it really fit? Will this finally be my undoing?!"

I don't like the fact that they do it and it's effective. It genuinely pisses me off. Worse fact is, it actually does work. They end up getting their pity compliments, and they feel satisfied with that.
    It just pisses me off. I don't get why other people can't see the game that hey buddy, you're getting milked for validation. I'm starting to just think they don't actually care.

      @@biapicf1717 indeed. There is a cultural bias that favors cold logic over empathy - but it is, in and of itself, inherently illogical.
      The thing about human intelligence is that half of it stems from our ability to relate to other humans. Some of the more cognitively handicapped humans in society are the psychopaths, because they lack the ability to empathize.
      I was about to go on a major rant but I stopped myself. You’re welcome!
      At any rate, Fe is actually highly intelligent in a way that Ti is not. Fe is grounded in reality - understanding the fabric of society and the way that the human brain gears grind.
      They are your chameleons of social situations, in my experience. Extraordinary social and emotional intelligence. Those abilities give them deep insights into humanity that others lack.
      I’ve found personally that nature Fe doms also have an impressive degree of resiliency despite being sensitive by nature. They can’t cope with everything, obviously, but they can cope with things the other types can’t seem to handle.
      I’m an INTP and I like to seek out intellectuals who I can share my thoughts with. I’ve befriended them, dated them, hunted them down online and engaged in debates - and what I came to realize was that one of the most intelligent, if not the most intelligent person I had ever met was the girl that grew up to me right nextdoor…and she’s an INFJ.
      She never claimed to be intelligent, or tried to be intelligent, but there are massive flaws in these intellectuals I’ve met - flaws I share myself - that she has immunity to.
      She sees the world for what it actually is, and she’s not fooled by the superficial pissing contest that is “facts” and “evidence”.
      The truth is - we know next to nothing. We think we know so much, but the field of science, and even math (if you can believe it) are critically flawed and often lead to inaccuracy.
      However what never changes is that the world we live in is Human first and foremost - and that’s where my INFJ lives too.
      I can’t pretend I’m not a little bit jealous.
      Not only that - but she knows things about me before I know them myself. She sees straight through emotions, social manipulation, complex relationships…man. It’s off-putting! 😂

    • @AK-jt7kh
      @AK-jt7kh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@biapicf1717 Sooo…there was a point to that. Oh.
      I would say - get your head out of the sand and realize the strengths of Fe so you can start correcting the idiots who have inaccurate perceptions about the functions. Because, clearly, they have no idea what they’re talking about and someone needs to help them see reason.

    • @biapicf1717
      @biapicf1717 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AK-jt7kh first of all, sorry for the late response! So, I always get confused to which type I actually am. Sometimes I see myself as an INTP, just like you! Because there are some cognitive aspects that I relate too much. But other times, I think I might be an INFJ.
      It's so weird because it's a mix of emotions. I always get tested as some type of Fi dom or, at least, a very high Fi. But, to be honest, I can't see myself as a Fi user. I don't know my emotions, wether I am happy or sad, sometimes I watch a video that makes me happy and I start laughing and I cry, not because it was very funny, but I think I activate the tear mechanism and I end up using as a way to liberate emotions, the reason for the tears is usually unknown lmao and at the same time, for me to relate to what a person is going through I have to have been through the same thing or feel some sympathy towards them. Let's use characters as examples, if it is someone that I don't like that much who is sad, I feel nothing, but if it is my favorite or one that I like, I suffer with them 😪
      Also, I can't help but feel the need to help people. Even if I don't know them. I might see someone asking questions on twitter, I feel the urge to answer. Some friends take advantage of that and don't google some basic stuff, they ask me because they KNOW I will google it or at least know part of the answer to their problem. That's why I said I related to what she said a lot. I don't know if I am high Fe user or not, but I might have it on my top 4 functions. I am very introverted at first but I was so different as a kid and even a bit wild when I get to know the person, like, doing things out of the blue. This is what gets me so confused because I can be very private, not wanting to demonstrate emotions but being clingy and just wanting a friend to spend the whole day together. I guess traumas can really get into our personality.
      Oh, and please, don't stop yourself, I also love to have debates.
