I had the Logitech doorbell for a couple years but it would overheat in the summer. I tried the firmware updates and a different transformer but I couldnt rely on it.
interesting.. You might have a faulty unit as those things are rated to work up to 50 degrees. You should reach out to their customer support. They might be able to provide you with a warranty replacement
I bought the Aqara but the FOV was so bad. Would be great if that camera was flipped to portrait. I never fully installed it. Returned it. I hear the Logitech overheats. I live in the Arizona desert, so probably not a good option. I wish there were more HSV camera options.
@@BrandonSnodgrass hopefully when doorbells start to support matter there would be other options. Have you tried Arlo ? I installed it for a family friend and it's been over 3years now. No HSV but it has homekit support.
Yeah. The vertical Fov of Aqara is what kills it. I currently use it in my new place but I have other cameras at around the house to make up for the poor FOV of the Aqara. I think ecobee has one as well though I havent used it yet.
@@TyDaSpace I appreciate your review. I found it after I bought and returned Aqara. I may have still bought it. I currently have a 1st gen Nest and I run HomeAssistant with a bridge to HomeKit. So I can see it in HomeKit but my goal is native support. Fingers crossed for more options soon.
Great review. I’m actually amazed with the Belkin Wemo, seems like the best option for a HomeKit ecosystem. How would you say is the video quality compared to the other two?
I really love how wide of a view the Belkin wemo has. In my case I also have another camera pointing at my door so coverage isn't a top priority for me. Integration, cost and constant updates are important for me. The Aqara has gotten some software updates that have made the quality much better. I'll still go for the Aqara over the other two from price, integration, and looks perspective.
I would appreciate a longer view with the comparison features of the three products. Perhaps put it in the description as well. What you have done here is what I am not good at doing, so thank you.
@@TyDaSpace btw I have been unsuccessful in making it work, the Amara doorbell. Aqara not Amara. It won’t ever show me the device to register and connect. Trying to get a friend to help but still waiting. The instructions speak of a QR code, but it doesn’t work; they speak of a manual input, but there’s nothing anywhere in the packaging to input.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I have just invested in some high-quality video gear to enhance the quality of the content I'll be bringing to you moving forward. Stay tuned. Thanks for supporting the channel.
Actually a surprisingly good review of the products
Great review and comparison. Helped me choose a new HomeKit doorbell.
Can I ask what you decided on? I am currently looking to get away from Ring and to something home kit based
Great comparison! I'll take the Aqara Doorbell over the other 2 for price and multiplatform use.
I’ll be glad I have a video doorbell if I saw those guns at my door. 💪🏿

@@Eric-W0EDG another person just complained about the overheating so might not be your unit. Must be something with the bells all round .
@@TyDaSpace Yes I see some comments about it. Although it does not happen as often with a higher voltage transformer, it still happens on 80+ F days.

Good selections but audio quality is really bad and hard to hear

What are you watching on… sounds pretty normal to me…
