Hey great vid- 2 things you might help me with; what is the yellow tank adjacent to the nurse tank for? And secondly I assume the reel constantly paying out and reeling in is a time saver over having to spend x hours paying out pipe in ‘traditional’ umbilical systems? But is it very expensive to purchase as a contractor (is the kit worth it over the time spent)

As far as I know the wagon or trailer with the yellow tank adjacent to the 'nurse tank' (thus the assembly next to the blue container with the open top) has two purposes; it pressuresizes the system, and doing so it forces the slurry through the hose, and it could also work as a 'buffer vessel' and/or pressure equalizer for the moments the slurry injection is turned on or off.
Secondly; the system doesn't only spare on the time needed to roll out and to collect the hose again: The assembly with the injector and the reel also requires a less powerfull tractor because the hose stays where it is put down and doesn't have to be dragged over the ground (continously). Doing so, it also prevents soil compaction because the whole system both requires less movements through the field and puts less weigth on the ground. (See also: www.veenhuis.com/en/product/veenhuis-machines-products/transporting-manure/feed-hose-systems/rotomax-drag-hose-system/ ).
And yes, the whole system seems to cost about twice as much as a more conventional system, but it's also much asked for since it's also quite time-efficient and much more gentle to the soil, especially in wet conditions.
