Wendy's gotta pump her breaks. True and lasting recovery TAKES TIME! Just because she's out and feeling better today, doesn't mean she's healed and in good shape from now on. Recovery and sobriety has to be conquered one day at a time for a reason. I wish her a full recovery. I feel for her son. This can't be easy on him.

It's not an easy road my father died due to his addiction with alcohol he developed cancer and even when he came out of the hospital before being rehospitalized he was still drinking my mother had to hide alcohol from him . I truly hope and pray Wendy recovers I can just imagine what her and her family are going through right now🙏🏽 I remember our last conversation I was 12 at the time and he said he would have gotten better to take care of me .....sorry he didn't make it miss him everyday🙏🏽 let's pray hard for Wendy

Two months isn’t enough time for someone that has battled addiction for the amount of time and degree that Wendy has. Getting back to work isn’t important, getting to wellness is!
Yea she has the money to stay for a long time, she needs to take advantage of that and really lean in to sobriety until it becomes a way of life. 2 months is nothing when it comes to rehab, especially when you’re as bad off as she was. I just want her to be at 100% again and take her time getting healthy.

Most people treated for alcohol abuse go to a detox center to withdraw for several weeks and then they go to a substance abuse treatment center for a few months. If she truly wants to get healthy, she needs a few more months of treatment.

E X A C T L Y ..... over the last few years Wendy has shown no real desire to get Clean and Sober ....and get her act together.
Even the most hardcore drinkers I have known - have shown more desire and motivation to get serious about sobriety than Wendy has in over FOUR YEARS.
And few would been so reckless to show up so impaired on a LIVE TV TALK SHOW ...
That is the danger when someone has too much money - and is NOT FORCED TO GET SOBER so they can earn enough money for food and shelter to themselves and possibly their family.
It is a BAD sign that after the past FOUR YEARS of sloppy publicized antics ... it appears she has still not reached her bottom.
They lie so much about her don't know what to believe wish her well

This just breaks my heart 💔 In my family experience Chronic alcoholism requires 18 months to 2 years of intensive treatment in most cases. She also has Graves Disease which is a chronic disease that progresses with age…attacks your vital organs. I suffer with it myself and this disease is no joke! I cannot even fathom adding alcohol abuse to the equation. Very scary and life threatening. I’m praying for Wendy 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

We've been hearing "better than ever" for some time now. I pray she gets her life back together. It's not going to any good if she doesn't surround herself with better people.
People need to keep in mind that alcohol addition is one of the hardest to fight. Alcohol is every where. Most addicts relapse several times before they kick it. Be patient with her and give her grace.

I’m sorry to say, I lost my friend from alcohol abuse in 2020 at 44 years old. She also ended up in a health care facility. She couldn’t take care of herself and had so many health complicated issues like liver, kidneys and her whole body was messed up. Addiction is real. Let’s be hopeful she will get better.

So sorry, I just posted the about my poor coworker.
I’m sober myself and worked at a treatment center/halfway house. Alcohol is nothing to eff with, when quitting. It’s one of the worst drugs for DT’s.
I pray that she continues with outpatient then aftercare, and of course meetings and a sponsor. I think it is still too early for her to jump into anything career wise.
No joke when I was in detox most of us there were getting off opiates and a lot of others were getting off more serious drugs like crystal and crack but the *worst* cases of withdrawals I saw any of the patients have were from alcohol, surprisingly. They were the most miserable out of all of us and most had to be put on a medical withdrawal so they didn’t die from it. It blew my mind.
@@whitneyangelie3682 Same. I was surprised too. It's probably the most dangerous substance to come off of. The body gets so used to it that if some stop cold turkey they could die.
I know there used to be, and may have a couple still, "wet houses" for chronic/severe alcoholics, who if they quit would die. Wet houses would allow them to still drink. Crazy, sad stuff
BTW, awesome job going to detox. Not the easiest thing to do, so props to ya!
"Time takes time". Struggled many years with acceptance. I wanted all the benefits without doing the work. Many years later I am only now ending my "teen years", and entering "adulthood". I would hate to tell my chronological age! It took me a long time to become the alcoholic I was, and it has taken not quite that time to become the sober, sane and contented lady I am today. Pray for WW to be willing to do whatever it takes to become and remain sober.

People get going into treatment , and The recovery process confused , There's a big difference , The recovery process is a life long commitment to improving and healing yourself body , mind and spirit, a treatment center is to treat symptoms and give you tools to start your recovery process .

This news is concerning. It takes much longer than 2-3 months to heal decades of substance abuse which is the cumulative response of mental health issues. She needs a good 12 months of treatment to live a sustainable sober life. 🙏 and ❤ to Wendy.

Wow! This is why I've previously said the things I've said, in defense of the beautiful iconic legendary vocally talented songbird, Whitney Houston! The whole world witnessed that audio phone call conversation between Whitney & Wendy, and heard how Wendy tried to ridicule, belittle, dehumanize, & further embarrass the beloved Pop Star! It was awful to hear& know that Wendy stooped that low in character & personality....for likes, clicks, & views! Now years later, the tables have turned! Now she's struggling with issues that are no different than what Whitney went through. If Whitney was still here to see THIS, she wouldn't even retaliate, she would pray for Wendy's soul and tell her to be mindful of others miseries.
If she fails to be well they need to do an involuntary hold or something because she needs more time but that's just me.

ANYONE who has continually been drunk on a live TV show bearing their name .... and even when she has taken looooog breaks and returns - only to start drinking all over again.
The last time when she was in a sober house ... and admitted to having alcohol issues - ONLY to return to her show after weeks of making headlines - and then DENY to every guest who congratulated her on getting sober - when WENDY would IMMEDIATELY get defensive and snap back at these famous and well intended guests ... that "SHE did NOT have any problems with alcohol - only the 'other' drug from many years ago".
UGH.
Why would she do that after her return to her show - with everyone KNOWING she was in sober house for ALCOHOL ? ? ? BECAUSE SHE WAS IN DENIAL WHEN SHE RETURNED TO HER SHOW - realizing she had NO DESIRE to STOP DRINKING - and intended to keep drinking - while telling herself that she could control how much she drank - - - WOW ... right then and there anyone who knows anything about alcoholic behavior could spot the "LIES AND DENIAL" of an Alcoholic actively engaged in their addiction and foolishly believing she was pulling off her deception of sobriety - as she slurred her words on a live national TV show..
There are few celebrities who would not have gotten fired - after appearing day after day, in a drunken stupor on a live TV show.
Her most recent stint of abusive drinking ...
has now been going on for YEARS ... as she has never really gotten sober since her first disappearing act about 4 years ago - while using the COVER of having to take time off for her THYROID issues ... which was just an excuse for being too impaired to work.
This is why the bank has a guardianship!!!
I believe Wendy can recover and is recovering. God please send her a healing. Wendy just had a blip. Her Mother passed away, her Father had a stroke and her Husband the love of her life constantly cheated on her and got another woman pregnant whilst still married to Wendy. Who wouldn’t drink to cope and leave bottles hidden around at work or the home. Give her a break. She will be fine and good again. She has been through a lot in life and is very resilient. She’ll bounce back to a avenue one that nurture’s her. Being ill with a chronic illness also makes you very down, sick and in a traumatic state of mind. I pray her and anyone else who is suffering in any kinda way that God heals and blesses you them and us 🙏🏼
Right she has only been there for 5 or 6 wk. remember paparazzi in her cab ride to liquor store. That was last month or end of August at best.
Wendy needs to just rest and take her time to heal.
Being with an alcoholic is not easy, it's more than a job and I've been through it with him for a long time and no matter how many months he was in rehab the classes the certificates or anything else that they want to give them because they feel they doing so well because they haven't had a drink while they was there, it's BS because once he finish and came back home he was back drinking again. I couldn't live with that anymore and he needed to leave immediately and he did. As of what Wendy is going through I believe her show was fed up with her because of her drinking, I also believe the bank started taken control of her money because they seen these other people are taking advantage of her. Wendy needs more than two or three months to get herself together she also needs a serious wake up call for her to leave that alcohol alone. I wish her well.
Alcohol Addiction - unfortunately has a very high relapse rate. At Wendy's age and the severity of her addiction ... does not put her in a situation for getting sober - and staying sober.
The real casualties of alcoholism - are the family members who live under the same roof and are continually juggling with the antics of an insane person who will lie, cheat and steal in order to attain the "love of their lives" - a bottle of booze. Everything and everyone else - comes in second.
UNTIL THE ALCOHLIC THEMSELVES DESPERATELY WANTS TO LIVE SOBER AND HEALTHY - NO ONE ELSE CAN STOP THEM FROM CONSUMMING A VERY DANGEROUS and DEADLY LEGAL "DRUG" ...

When you are cut off from someone, you are your own person. Her life is her own. At the present time a new beginning for her. Fight and come back stronger_ many of us have divorces, become single parent, work at our jobs, lose parents etc.__keep going forward. I am concerned with her mental capacity; until I see her give a coherent interview which proves she is capable of going to her bank, and handling her finances like you or I do on a monthly basis. Able to care for herself completely in her home, drive her automobile, shop and cook for herself, and others as I do. I am older than Wendy. 🙏🌴California.
Coming from a family that was affected by alcohol abuse, it is difficult to control the abuser and their consumption.
I have lost 2 brothers to alcoholism; my mother couldn't drink socially either without declining into an abusive state. ( there's Native American blood in my maternal family line)
When my eldest brother was suffering and we placed him in rehab for the third and last time before his transition at age 41 while we were enroute to the facility he BEGGED for some alcohol. He was experiencing seizures, severe delusions and couldn't control his bowels.
However, all he wanted was one last drink.
Fast forward to my husband, who also wouldn't/couldn't control his alcohol consumption. He ultimately made his transition from Alzheimer's and lung cancer in 2014.
I would "allow" alcohol to be on-site in our home. However, before his Alzheimer's became apparent, he would buy and hide bottles throughout NUMEROUS PLACES.
As a result of this behavior, our children had a distant relationship with him -- he was a mean drunk.
Myself - I am a teetotaler. Don't want any alcohol PERIOD!

I believe her downward turn came about after the death of her mother. She was very close to her parents from what I can tell and, and feel the loss devastated her. Her way of coping was to drink or self medicated to dull those feelings. God bless you Wendy. I pray for you complete recovery and sobriety. 🙏
I think her husband Kevin... having the baby with his mistress...her divorce and all that mess.. is what REALLY sent her over the edge ! ...Thats when she started partying Living her ""Best Life " etc...and searching for a boyfriend on her show? She was clearly hurt and trying to be wanted but going about it the wrong way..She was acting desperate..then her mom died.......I hope she really gets her health and head together....it takes time more time... Love will follow.!!. I feel sorry for her.....Miss her every morning.!!!
This is very sad to me on a personal level my father suffered from alcoholism since a teenager. The use of alcohol contribute to his young passing at just 54yr old. Like Wendy my dad was a workaholic n truly a master in his craft. His work was like no other n his has been unbelievably missed by many. Like Wendy he was used n betrayed by many ppl during his struggles. Which made the ppl that loved him that much more challenging to help but even more challenging to watch. I pray for Wendy’s health n recovery n pray that pure love surrounds her during her recovery.

A person reported about two years ago when she was on the air that her brain was like Swiss cheese. Wendy continued to deny this. But clearly it’s true. She needs to just retire and call it a day. Wonder why her son can’t be in charge or one of her siblings?
