The recipe for looking good as you get older is really simple. Use sunscreen. Don’t smoke. Limit your alcohol. Sleep. You won’t necessarily look younger, but you’ll look good.
100% this! I have been in a terrible situation for the past couple years, getting almost no sleep and people always ask me if I'm ok or tell me I look sick. Sleep is so important to how you look, arguably the most important thing since that is when your body heals. I'm finally moving on from this stage in my life and I feel like I'm already starting to see some improvements.
I have always taken great care of my skin. At 60 I look much younger. It’s so ridiculous that my grandsons other grandmother asked her daughter if I had work done because I look younger than her. My in law is six years younger, but looks twenty years older. She does everything the total opposite of what I do and has never taken care of her skin. It has now become a joke in the family.
It’s common in my family to start getting grey hairs in our late teens and early twenties and I’m actually so excited when I start growing more grey hair because its just so special to me😂😊 I have 3 rn but I want more😂
@@julissavalencia1751 okay but same! My mom greyed early, so did my grandmother. I had colored my hair grey many times and now, my white greys feel like an accomplishment. To grow grey means you’re still alive, what a privilege to still be here on this earth. To have the honor of being alive!
I’m definitely not naturally as pretty as some girls and I don’t have nice skin or teeth and my nose is big, but I’ve come to learn that it’s better to be kind and ugly than the vanity of chasing beauty and pay the price. My character means a lot more to me then having a perfect picture
You are absolutely beautiful and so right i hate how so many women and men think their beauty relies solely on looks it’s about whats inside our hearts that truly matters and defines us. Looks fade eventually we all get old wrinkly and we all die one day so there is no point in looking young and perfect your whole life it would actually be very creepy if i saw a 70 year old women that looked 20 i would seriously be a little disturbed…
Babe you are absolutely gorgeous! You’re beautiful 💖 God created you perfectly he molded you perfectly 💖 God knows every single hair on your head, thought in your mind, feelings in your heart, needs in your soul. 💖🙏
Your character will last a lot longer than surface beauty. We put so much attention on what's on the surface and seem to care little about the character of the person.
im 34, I do my skincare religiously, but i have considered fillers too….But seeing these long term problems that are being “discovered” im so glad I didnt get any!
Don't. Your skin is an organ just like your heart. The first line of defense against disease. Plenty of attractive older women who glow with health and smart women dont waste money on filler, they take that money and invest in a Roth IRA and one day take first class vacations.
Same here at 35. I'm going to try baby botox for my 11s(migraine related) to see how I react before I let them to the whole head once for migraines. I've been putting off the migraine injections for 6 years, due to being afraid of looking plastic- even tho they don't put them exactly where people get them for cosmetic reasons.
This although for me it was cool sculpting that was tempting. But I stand by a firm "the procedure/supplement must have been in common practice AT LEAST ten years before I will ever start to consider it" which saves me from a lot of potential bad side effects.
It's kinda wild to think about all these people going all in on treatments that haven't been available for all that long and no way of knowing the long term effects and possible complications.
I grew up the fear that my heart would give out and that I would not make it to 16. I made it to 16 and was scared to make it to 30. I’m 30 now and my life expectancy is 35-47 so I cherish every thing that shows I’m aging
I hope you have many more years left and continue to defy predictions. I agree that signs of aging are worthy of celebration, because the alternative is to not age. Although I do have to admit to failing to love my under eye wrinkles. They mess up my concealer.
They still don’t talk about how dissolving filler also dissolves healthy fat and tissue. So, that can also make you look older by removing your volume needed to look young. They also don’t talk about how long term Botox use causes your facial muscles to atrophy, which again makes you look older.
@@Mrs_xixiI am SO glad to have run across this video. Isn't Juvederm advertised to boost your body's skin's own ability to tighten and have collagen boosted? That's the way the posters outside a doc's office in a plaza made it seem to me recently!
Botox has also been found to migrate to the brain. To the brain girls! And that's not reversible. I'm an old woman, 63, yes, I look old! I've earned my wrinkles and gray hair, and I love it. What I do fear is the mental decline that can come from aging. I've seen it happen to many people. Wrinkles are no big deal but dementia is tragic. No botox for me! Vanity just isn't worth risking mental decline for.
Just common sense, when you sleep and apply pressure to your face, and facial massages, why would you think these fillers would stay in place. No matter how skilled the injector is...
This makes a lot of sense about the fillers growing in size. Some actresses like Nicole Kidman have literally doubled the size of their faces. She was so gorgeous in the Practical Magic film and others when she had a delicate face and pointed chin. How can people have such body dysmorphia that they don't have any self-awareness. I'm a year younger than Nicole and I'm aging naturally. I don't scare the horses in the street but I'm a Grandma. I deserve to age gracefully. I've been to hell and back a few times but survived. Living through all the phases of your life is a gift. Hopefully people will just enjoy it.
I completely agree with you! ❤️ Once you realize how precious life is, there's very little you would ever do to risk it, especially not just for your appearance. I had depression for many years and once being able to come out on the other side, I love life more than anything. I would never risk my existence for trivial beauty, especially not for the gaze of someone else!
And who knows whether filler residue wont have a synergic effect combiined with all the other environmental chemicals in our fatty tissues increasing cancer risks over time.
Who got vaccinated with a fresh new barely 1 full year clinical trials (had to change the definition of vaccine to be eligible) and seeing all the heart damage and turbo cancers.... Lots of things people are finding out they were told is safe and isnt
This! We earned each grey hair and every wrinkle, they tell our stories, our struggles we had to overcome and our victories. Let’s endorse and love them!
Same here honey, bless your heart... There is not a damn thing wrong ageing gracefully, I am also happy I didn't get anything done! There were points in my life that I wanted to but didn't bc I did not have the money and thank god for that..... Im no beauty queen but I'm happy with myself and my face.....
When HA fillers came on the market, they were previously tested on animals and then HIV patients with lipodystrophy (facial wasting from the chronic disease). They were deemed safe to use by the FDA - the rest is marketing. There weren’t long term studies at the time because they were new to normies. What lasts “6 months” is the visual result, not necessarily the filler substance itself - which is what long term studies have determined all these years later. My advice is don’t do anything that hasn’t been around 15-20+ years. Wait for what the long term risks/findings are.
Birth control pills have been around forever and their cumulative damage is still being quantified. Impacts to ground water, accumulation in mammals, birds and fish and even subsequent human generations is still being “considered”. The Less intervention the best.
I'm glad you touched on how difficult it is to have fillers dissolved. Those girls were like, "yeah just get it dissolved" like it's simple. That's like saying "just get your tattoo lasered off".
As someone going through laser tattoo removal, I can vouch that it’s SUCH a process. It’s so painful. It costs so much money (over $5k for two tattoos) and it takes FOREVER. I’m currently over a year into my treatments and I have several years ahead of me.
@@cassidybrewer And it doesn't even "remove" the tattoo color. It's basically just cutting it up into even more little pieces that will stay in your blood stream forever. And that potentially increases your risk for blood cancer even more than a regular tattoo does. And that risk is already 23% higher. You really have to consider the side effects to your health with procedures like that. And then you have the entire process and money on top of that.
@@ducklingscap897 it’s definitely not for everyone and I always urge people to consider covering their unwanted tattoos instead of removing them for that reason and several others from my own experience. It’s not an ideal solution at all.
its so sad that young women "fear" aging so much that they will literally put foreign substances in their faces to prevent it. when actually getting to grow old is truly a blessing.
I used to be terrified TERRIFIED of getting older, and then I did and was like…oh. This isn’t so bad. I’m more comfortable with who I am and don’t care what other people think as much. I’m 41 and wear bows in my hair, color, play video games etc. You don’t have to start or stop doing anything you love because of your age. My sister is happily buying herself Hello Kitty kitchenware because she came to that realization too. If you continue doing what you love and finding new things to do and enjoy then you don’t have to fear aging and can stop trying to fight it with all these fillers and procedures.
Fillers seem like they’re causing more issues than fixing anything… I literally don’t care if I look old, honestly getting old is a blessing because not everyone is blessed to live a long life.
We are deeply and tragically failing our girls and women. Imagine what we could be doing in the world with all the energy (and money) we spend on this. It's like we've taken ten steps back and we did it willingly. WHY.
I don't understand this fear of aging. I spent most of my childhood fearing that I would die before the age of 21 because of all of the operations I had every year. (Don't drink and drive. You may not kill anyone, but you could indeed disrupt a person's life to an extreme that you hadn't even considered.) Having made it to 46, I am always happy to find a new wrinkle or white hair because I'm actually *able* to get old! I've been with my wife since she was 18, and now that she's in her forties, I personally think she looks better now than she did then! Folks need to quit looking at movie stars and influencers for what looks good. Or at least look at the sex symbols from over 20 years ago and see how much better the ones look who hadn't had plastic surgery over the ones who had.
I completely agree, I think the newer generations are CHRONICALLY online. It's especially scary when you see an 8 year old on TikTok with a skincare routine for "anti aging"... when I was 8 I didn't even know what skincare was!! We're so lucky to age and experience all the wonders that life has to offer ❤️ and in good health too!
I feel the worst for these kids, they're AREN'T any 'safe places' for kids to just be kids again. Everyone is terrified to have their kids alone outside, far from them, there aren't any 'play places' available for tweens, ughhhh. I'm so worried about them 💖
I am soon to be 38 and have never had any injectables or work done. I do look after what I eat, exersise, and use skin care, but I am proud of looking like my family and not plastic. Everytime I am tempted to get any work done, I look at photos of my Grandma who was the most beautiful woman to me. I look at photos of my Mom who everyone says I look just like. I am proud to come from amazing, strong women. I am proud to look like them. People who get so much work done, end up losing the family resemblence . I do have a friend from high school who started with just a little botox. Then, she got more. Then she got her lips done. Then she got a nose job. Then she got her breasts done. Then she got lipo suction. Then she got her feet done (yes. Her feet. She had "ugly feet" according to her, so she got surgery to make her feet cute.) I think surgery can get addicting, cause she started out just getting a little botox, and then got addicted to "looking perfect." It is really sad to see her now. She used to look just like her Mom, and now she looks like every other influencer.
@@kathleenking47at least the tattoos are in the service of individuality. This stuff makes wonderful unique faces look very much the same. Thats the part I hate about it. Its a beauty aesthetic that disavows uniqueness and the many many ways that beauty shows up in the world.
At what point is this gender disphoria? If this is really women trying to live up to a beauty standard, doesn’t that mean these people are experiencing gender disphoria? Honestly maybe psychological support offered to trans people would help them.
@@mayluz444 oh I know it's young in the grand scheme, but it isn't young for people who think getting fillers and baby botox should start when you are 18-25. The amount of times I have heard to start "preventative work" in your twenties is crazy. Even these plastic surgeons themselves talk about this prevention. It's so sad how people act like aging is some disease , and they get more and more work done , and look freaky in the end.
My non aging secret is being blessed with oily skin. I’m 45 with no consistent skin care routine, never use spf on my face, no wrinkles and no filler. My mom and sisters skin is the same. So I’m sure genetics play a big part. I can understand fillers when you’re aging or huge weight loss but for “prevention” no.
Yes. That has helped me too. I have oily skin and I have no crow’s feet around my eyes because of oily skin. I do now have some wrinkles from taking a medication for a medical condition and it dries me out terribly. I hope to be able to stop taking it.
I can so relate to this. Oily skin can be problematic in youth, but pays off “BIG-TIME” as we age if we haven’t abused our skin with destructive lifestyle habits. I inherited VERY oily skin from my paternal grandmother. I don’t think she ever used a cream or any other skincare product in her entire LIFE. When she died at 89 she BARELY had a line on her face!! THANKS, Grandma Katherine for your AMAZING genes!!!
Same. I did always tell me that as a teenager or in summer. Yes I look like someone fried bacon on my face but I'll have the last laugh when I'm 80 😂 My mother is in her 50s and consistently guessed to be in her 30s. And my grandmother, who is nearly 90 years old, has basically only a few crows feet and no other wrinkles. I can just hope that I'm blessed like that as well.
my family friends daughter isnt allowed to wear sunscreen and it makes me feel so bad for her (she's almost 4 & a redhead) always seems a little burnt and red on the cheeks. Is it bad that I havent said anything/ speak on my concerns, do I let them parent in their own way thats clearly neglectful? He thinks sunscreen has bad chemicals... but skin cancer is way worse I: there's sunscreen made for babies FOR A REASON. I really dont know how to go about informing them on this, so ill continue to stay quiet and not cause drama for my mama. xo

Sunscreen is nothing whfn you mess yourself up with Coffee. That stuff makes you age like mllk. I am 22, never consumed Caffeine. I know women my age that already have lines around their e es. They all drink Coffee and cafeinated beverages They look to old and tired
I started getting lip filler in 2013. I have only ever had “top-ups” max once a year until 2023. We are talking about .25/.5ml at a time. Because I didn’t like how puffy my lips would be after the definition disappeared, so I had to go back to my nurse to get the definition back... I even had all of it dissolved and re-done at one point. I haven’t had my lips done since August 2023 and they are never going to go back to normal. I was told scar tissue can form from the needle constantly going into the skin and creating channels/damage that become scars… I don’t regret my lip filler, but I feel trapped in this cycle where I become dysphoric when my lip filler goes down, or I get panicky when it doesn’t look like it used to..it’s messed with me mentally.
That analysis of that women’s face 6 years after hyaluronic acid made my skin crawl 😵💫 I felt the goosebumps in my spirit 🥴 why are we doing this to ourselves. I was considering fillers to give my nose a little razzle dazzle but let take myself to the nearest ice cream shop instead 😮💨
Well food addiction isn’t good either but this is why I go to the gym & swim some laps but eating ice cream in moderation is perfectly fine don’t get it twisted 😂
I think we should just keep away from sun damage, sleep okay, have a nice diet, avoid smoking and alcohol...and thats it. We will all age, we can be pursuing looking as good as we can for our age, but i dont think people should obsess over "looking younger". It is okay to look your age, in fact there is not even any problem with looking older. Why do we always equate older with worse? Personally, my vanity just goes as far as looking pretty and good, no matter my age, but i wont try to look younger or change my features. This gives me a lot of fear, at least i think i will pass on injectables and if i want a lifting when im older than 50 or 60 i will consider, but i hope my older self doesnt care about that when that time comes tbh.
If you experience fever, headache, or ANY change in the eye/eyes after injections--> Immediately go to the emergency room. Early diagnosis is the most important factor in determining good/bad outcome. If you choose to wait, you are risking sepsis, stroke and death.
I agree with you Laela it's such BS when everyone tries to say "oh you just need to make sure to use a SKILLED injector". If multi-millionaires and billionaires with all their money and connections can't get a hold of a "skilled injector" then what chance do women with alot less money have? The fact is getting fillers is a horrible idea no matter who performs the procedure. Damn near everyone looks great when they first start getting it done but there always comes that inevitable moment where you stop looking good and start looking weird. Over time fillers stretches the skin and disturbs the natural fat pads of the face that give you a youthful look. Messing with fillers always ends badly, so dont do it ladies.
Everyone assumed that ‘lasts up to 12 - 18 or so months’ means that it disappears within that time. But it means that they don’t have proof it last longer as this is how long it was tested for. People are too quick to get these procedures done within understanding what they’re doing.
Without going too negative, there's a series of events that have happened while I was working within the emergency department. And, it then gave me the mantra? Or the philosophy? That aging is such a blessing. Having wrinkles, greying hair.. it's such a beautiful blessing that we're all so lucky to be aging.. every year when I get a little grey hair (I'm 30 in November) I get so excited, that I'll probably just embrace the aging change.. My mum had filler in her nose (we both have a large hook nose) but, her nose looks twice the size - it's a shame as I've asked her not to get it done :(
@@hayley8907 from the day you are born as a female on earth, you are taught to fear aging. Not realizing that thinking about fearing aging is what actually causes aging. It's the primary thing that causes aging at least. If human beings knew how powerful our thoughts are, we would think very differently. For example, my whole life I was taught to fear menopause. When in fact, menopause is the greatest gift God ever gave to woman. I don't care about men anymore in any capacity whatsoever, other than friendship and platonic love. Aging is not for fearful people. If you fear aging, you will hate it and you will not handle it well. UN-brainwash yourself please! And remember that as you get older, people don't even notice you. Honestly as someone who has been thinking about getting filler: this really made me feel scared. I am not surprised about filler not going away but I hadn’t stopped for a second to think about where it goes! And now seeing that it stays inside your body and we don’t know what the potential risks are of that… well, yeah… I guess it’s going to be lotions, sunscreen, maybe some facial peelings(?) but yes, I can stay away from injectables for the next 20 years, thank you so much!!

I strongly considered getting filler at one point, but my anxiety said "you will be claustrophobic, don't do it!!!" Sometimes even an earring, or an acrylic nail is enough to make me claustrophobic and I have to rip it off IMMEDIATELY. I can't imagine if I had something under my skin I would have to be committed.
Same! Last time I had a full set of fake nails (20+ years ago🤪) I walked into the parking lot right after having them put on and ripped everyone off. Never felt soooo claustrophobic in my life. Never heard anyone have a similar experience. 😆 no Botox/filler/ hair-dye for me and I’m almost 43. 😜

54 year young female here! Please, inform yourself, study your face, your lifestyle before doing anything! I’m so lucky I was warned about fillers 2 years ago after I started researching the « aging gracefully » trend. I am fighting the aging somewhat but I picked my battles! I don’t touch my undereyes ( too risky) or my lips ( I’m not a fish! ) For the rest, I use bio-stimulators to push my body to produce its own collagen-elastin. It is a slow process, but it is working and very natural looking. It doesn’t make me look younger ( in my opinion nothing does, even plastic surgery, when looking up close ) but it makes me look fresher and I love it!
@@Polly-Esterismyname PLLA for low movements areas ( since like fillers, it can spread so best used for temples, pre auricular) and hyper diluted CaHa for high movements areas ( neck, nasal folds) Both are to be injected via a cannula preferably. You can also inject liquid PCL all over face via mesotherapy, no risk of obstruction and if you are not afraid of small needles, easy to do it yourself. Again, these are slow working, you start to see results after 2 months but they give nice results and it is your own collagen-elastin!
To look younger drink water, don't drink alcohol, use lotion at night. That's it. Permanent self manipulation isn't worth it. Self love and acceptance of natural beauty is so important.
I remember hearing about the first types of fillers, which was a long long time ago, in the 1700 or 1800s, where they would inject porcelain or something into people's noses to sculpt them. They could do this because the material was soft enough after being heated up for a brief period of time. And it didn't need to be heated up to insane temperatures to be liquid. Only problem is, the body temperature was enough to also heat it up, meaning it would heat up the filler after it was inside the face, and the filler would move around. And the people with the filler would experience pain as it heated up or cooled down depending on the temperature. One such person was known to sit in front of a fireplace to heat up the filler enough so she could try to sculpt it back into place. Just horrifying and heartbreaking.
As depressed as I was, I didn't expect to see 18, much less 31 so I'm glad to be aging. I'm glad I'm still here. Not everybody gets to age, gracefully or otherwise. I don't want to get plastic surgery outside of a breast reduction for the sake of helping with my Fibromyalgia pain and maybe skin removal surgery after I lose the weight I need to be healthier. My face will be left alone unless there's a severe accident. I don't want to explain to any kids that I have why I felt the features they got from me were something that needed to be fixed. They don't deserve that. Also, I look just like my Dad when I have my glasses on (who passed away last year) and my Mima, my grandma, who is thankfully still with us when I take my glasses off. My face has two families worth of Legacy within it and I love that.
I don’t know if you’re aware, but there have been many who have reversed fibromyalgia pain and obesity by going low carb/keto/carnivore and by fasting. Check out Dr. Ken Berry on TH-cam.
I needed to see this after a over done pillow faced coworker told me to put filler on top of my cheekbones last night. That's very close to the eyes. Not gonna give myself eye problem or lymphatic issues. I also can't take her criticism considering she risked her life for a bigger butt (BBL)

I think the conception that gen Z is aging like milk, though mostly false, it has some truth behind and has to do with very young people using fillers. Fillers at 24 or 25, thins is insane, fillers are not like a skincare regimen to maintain your collagen, it’s supposed to be used starting in your 40’s when you lose facial volume and even then with much precaution. Why the heck would you use fillers in your 20’s when you still produce a lot of collagen and you haven’t lost volumes? Insane.
Let's start with I had breast implants for two years, then learned about bii and had them removed. My daughter went to work for this plastic surgeon as a scheduler and she gave me a gift card fur a facial. The girls asked me my concerns and I ended up with filler and threads. Omg. What a bait and switch to up sell. Threads are horrifically painful. I'm 58. learn to love yourself the way you are. I have hurt my body with breast implants and now have nerve damage from removing them.
I was never informed of potential necrosis from my provider during the consultation. Thank God for the internet! I cancelled the appointment. Never getting filler.
In the medical field, that area around your nose is referred to colloquially as "The Triangle of Death", since the blood vessels there shunt directly to the brain.
I’m 42 and I have never gotten any fillers, heck I have never even dyed my hair! My mom always told me just get enough sleep, drink enough water and get exercise and wear sunblock. I remember when I went to get Botox. I'm 42, and the dermatologist kept asking me questions such as, "What results do you want? How invested and dedicated are you to achieve them?" So, I asked if I could get fillers instead of Botox. She told me, "No, you don't need fillers. I am asking because you just need a great moisturizer, and I am trying to find out how dedicated you are to a 1-4 step home facial routine or just a 1-2 step moisturizer." She was amazing and only got Botox very minimally because she convinced me not to go overboard and to rather invest in an amazing $110 90-day cleaner, moisturizer, and SPF.
Oh dear. As a physician u r rly off about this. The majority of the literature coming out about bone degradation thru fillers, psychological issues stemming from injectables, and other filler and botox complications is coming out of Japan and Taiwan bc it is so incredibly pervasive there. "In Taiwan and Japan non-surgical aesthetic procedures outnumbered surgical aesthetic procedures. Participants from Japan and Taiwan who had experienced aesthetic procedures reported having had laser or injectable therapy in the past (68.4% and 68.0%, respectively). These non-surgical procedures are attractive because they are relatively non-invasive, have fewer complications, are less expensive, and have shorter recovery times compared to surgical procedures. In Taiwan, the total number of board-certified plastic surgeons in 2021 was around 800. However, more than 30,000 doctors were working as aesthetic/cosmetic doctors, working either full- or part-time as providers of cosmetic non-surgical or surgical procedures [17,18]. The same situation has been noted in South Korea [19,20]. The high number of aesthetic clinics is likely a result of poor reimbursement by the medical insurance systems and gray areas in the legal systems that allow doctors without certification to practice in this field. One reason for the popularity of cosmetic clinics may be related to the customer’s concept of ideal beauty." In this study of 31k ppl: "Experiences and attitudes toward aesthetic procedures in East Asia: a cross-sectional survey of five geographical regions" 70% of women btwn the ages of 21-40 yrs old had experience injectables. As a side note, "All participants were asked whether they understood or acknowledged the difference between a plastic surgeon and an aesthetic or cosmetic doctor. Only 23.8% of the participants answered yes"

@GhosstRyder Yesss!!!! Women REALLY need to stop caring what random men "like"; the amount of women who love and encourage others to enjoy and embrace the gray hair that they painstakingly earned far outnumber the bullshit of 'I have to be perfect for the male gaze'. Gray hair is truly an earned accomplishment, laugh lines are proof that you have enjoyed your life, rather than keeping yourself in a box of other people's expectations. 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
31 here. I dont love myself 100% but all of those procedures are so scary painful and expensive that I noped looong time ago. I am so happy I didn’t do anything to my body. Nothing about women is researched enough so NO. Ef it.
This was so informative! I really appreciate content creators that want to hep the public and discurs very serious health problems. Getting filter may sound frivolous, bit it is a very serious medical procedure and people just don't see it as such.
Growing old is a privilege so many are robbed of, I’m happy to have my wrinkles and grey hairs coming in. Anti aging isn’t necessarily bad. Wear sun skin! But this fear of looking old is crazy.
I have a little lip filler , first had it 15 years ago (mid 30’s) I have been using Botox for 20 years. It’s all about using tiny amounts, subtle , and using an actual Doctor to do it. I had tear trough once - bloody mess was made out of my face by Skiin clinic in Milton Keynes , and the doctor a)refused to dissolve it b)made me sign a disclaimer to get my money back ! The industry needs regulation!! . I eventually had it dissolved thankfully, successfully. I learned that filler doesn’t always fully dissolve 8 years ago, and my doctor keeps me real. All things in moderation
People forget that these things aren't regularly tested or monitored by the companies. In fact, there's a concerted interest in NOT tracking anything that's already gotten it's FDA approval.
I've considered fillers in the past, as I'm early 50's and lost a significant amount of weight. Like usual, I researched extensively and decided against it when a doctor on here showed a patient's MRI, showing that the filler doesn't disappear and migrated. She'd last gotten her last fill 6 years ago and it was all over the place. YIKES.
It’s truly a sickness. I am a recovering IV drug user and once I ran out of veins on my arms and hands, I started going elsewhere. Many times I used tiny veins on my legs which caused occlusions, blockages, etc.. this led to horrible scarring, necrosis, abscesses. I’ll never be able to wear shorts or skirts because my legs look that horrific but I say all this to say…. I was very, very sick. I did dangerous and gross things to feed my addiction and I’m sorry but for many people this is kinda comparable. You’re chasing an image, harming your body, risk taking… all to try and be comfortable in your own skin. This is way more acceptable in society though.. it’s very normalized.
This is the problem with the “instant gratification” types nowadays. They don’t bother to research. They are the “I don’t care. I want it NOW” society.
Love your honesty! It’s so refreshing! I pray more young women see this and stop ASAP! I’m 56 and always have people tell me I look 30 and I have had nothing! Done just exercise, eat healthy don’t smoke, drink alcohol and wear a hat in the sun! Never would ever play around with this stuff! No Frosty Friday….thank you 🙏
Attempting a perpetual youthful appearance via fillers, etc. is shoveling sand against the tide. And the risks and dangers involved make it so much worse. I hope things are shifting and people instead use their money, time, and energy on things that last and really matter. Actual good health being high on that list.
Omg I just remembered that I’ve watched a yt short a few months ago about the “crazy things” people did back in the day vs now. The women in the video showed that people put cotton between their teeth and lips to make them look bigger vs today diy lip filler and I commented something along the lines of “how is cotton worse then diy filler” and someone else defendet it. People are crazy these days.
Oh yeah,id forgotten about her. Remember Jocelyn wilderstein? The cat lady. I think hers was from plastic surgery. Or the old stories of fillers going like concrete.
I think it's so important to remember that beauty standards change over time. I grew up in the 90s where thin eyebrows were in and Gwyneth Paltrow (who has pretty thin lips) was considered to be one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood (and she's still stunning!). Your face is not a trend and the best thing you can do is embrace your natural features
I am 70, and thanks to good genetics, pretty good skin care, I am not very wrinkled. No crows feet, 2 slight lines in my upper forehead, and small smile lines. Some folks think I'm 60. Every woman under 50 is beautiful. After that one gets the face one earns. A healthy diet, regular hours, sun protection, and trying to be the best version of yourself on the inside will give you a pleasing appearance regardless of age.😢
Guys, please just love yourself and stop doing things to be like other people. Remember, there's only one you, and no one can live your life, but you. So remember to love yourself. 🥰
Beauty is an attitude. I have seen similar people who are different in character and temper, one was beautiful because she flaunted her curly blond mane of hair and was sure of herself while the other wanted to hide from the world. So similar and yet so different. Beauty is a state of mind.
Hi! I’m 54 years old & I would never let anyone put fillers in my face! I’ve never even consider it! I lost 171 lbs & the only procedure I’ve had done is a breast reduction & lift! I’ll have my bat wings done one day, it just too expensive to have it done! Glad I’m good with my wrinkles!!! I’ll keep them!😂
This was recommended to me, and I’m excited to hear what you have to say, but wow the changes I’ve seen you go through from rap reactions to music to this is crazy
Look at goldie hawn. They figured out after the fact that whatever filler she had couldnt be dossolved. Im 68 now and as unwelcome as natural aging is, its a hell of a lot better than that grotesque phoney stuff gone wrong.
Cosmetic procedures are scary tbh, i mean, it started with 'drip a lil bit of poison (belladona) into your eye, you will either look pretty or die' and its going towards 'imma shave these jaw bones and inject you with hydrophillic fillers and poisonous botox and play Lets Do Pottery Lite with your own body fat, come back to redo them later! K babe!?' .... It was always crazy.
Trying to get pics of my family members from past generations to see where I get my features, especially the heavily Slovak influenced ones I don’t always appreciate.. It’s not easy because my dads parents were divorced, my dads maternal grandparents were immigrants and my mom was adopted but I’ve really liked the idea of embracing the line of people who made me look the way I do
I’m honestly so glad my mother was the kind of woman that not only wasn’t one to hide their age and just didn’t care about her age, but also was very much into natural home remedies and skincare made with fruits and vegetables😅 fillers and Botox are just so out of the norm in my life that I gladly never thought about getting it😭
The problem is also that people get their bones shaved down and use filler to work with the unnatural result of changing their actually face shape. So even when the fillers go away, they still look messed up.
Thank you! I worked for plastic surgeons for 15 years, ending in 2007. I can tell you that we didn't know filler could last forever. People thought if they overdid it, it would just go away. There's also perception creep. Over time, you forget what looks normal and these people, mostly women, look like each other but not fully human. They look like their own species. Since leaving the business I've warned people about fillers. I thought I was beyond temptation but I just saw a derm who recommended tiny little injections of filler all around the face and showed me a before and after that looked amazing. The photos on her website aren't even of her own patients, MAJOR red flag. And I was still so tempted! You just talked me out of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I think it's a good thing that those women were talking casually about it... The more people are open and honest about these types of procedures the more educated people can become.. it didn't seem like they were glamorizing it
I completely agree! Without hearing other peoples experiences it would be hard to make an informed decision. Especially if we only ever hear from dermatologists & nurse injectors!
While many people seek fillers for aesthetic reasons, there are potential health risks involved. Complications can include allergic reactions, infections, and vascular occlusion (where the filler blocks a blood vessel), which can lead to severe consequences, including tissue necrosis and vision loss.
I'm so saddened by the fact that a lot of women are scared to age and would do anything to prevent it. I'm excited to see what kind of lines I get! I'm thrilled to mature into the wrinkly crone that bakes pies for my guests and invites people over for tea.
A lot of us women in our late 40's and 50's are not getting fillers, I am 47 and people think I'm in my 30's, no fillers, just a skin care routine and sunscreen
Young ladies PLEASE take advice from a 60 year young Woman that is aging gracefully. It breaks my heart to see these young girls getting all this horrible work done. They are DESTROYING their natural beauty. I started using Vitamin E cream in my early 20’s. I have never smoked, drank or done drugs. I stay out of the sun even though I did use oils back in the 80’s to get the perfect tan. If you live a healthy life and protect your skin you will retain your natural beauty.
I keep getting reminded that spending a very limited kind or hours social media is indeed a lot better for my mental health.
You say, in the social media part of the youtube 😉

You generalize saying woman want this, maybe this people are not even human to be born and think that you can change your body without consequences...
No alcohol. That Stone Age poison messes you up big time.
Coffee
It's so freaking unhealthy and makes people age like milk
I have always taken great care of my skin. At 60 I look much younger. It’s so ridiculous that my grandsons other grandmother asked her daughter if I had work done because I look younger than her. My in law is six years younger, but looks twenty years older. She does everything the total opposite of what I do and has never taken care of her skin. It has now become a joke in the family.
This is what most black women do. Sleep/rest, hydrate, eat healthy, exercise and taking care of yourself.
I'm all for what you said but I never use sunscreen. The stuff in it isn't good for us.
27 with hella grey hair and tbh, I’m so glad I found the community that actually accepts aging and doesn’t demonize it. Loves it.
❤️ Love you angel! 🥹
I've had gray strands since I was in elementary, and honestly, it made me feel like I was the main character, with my QuIrKy hair 🩷🩷🩷
Use henna..it reduced my grey hair significantly after repeated usage.

You are stunningly beautiful! Straighten that crown, girl; you're perfect just the way you are.
Our appearance is the least interesting thing about us imo
Your character will last a lot longer than surface beauty. We put so much attention on what's on the surface and seem to care little about the character of the person.
im 34, I do my skincare religiously, but i have considered fillers too….But seeing these long term problems that are being “discovered” im so glad I didnt get any!
Doesn't ever leave your body either, after 20 years fillers arent dissolved is such a scam

This!
I’m worried for these people as they age since facial fat loss will really make them look… odd. Lumps everywhere? Idk
I wish they’d just stop
@@Mrs_xixiI am SO glad to have run across this video. Isn't Juvederm advertised to boost your body's skin's own ability to tighten and have collagen boosted? That's the way the posters outside a doc's office in a plaza made it seem to me recently!
@@helenaquin1797That's true, it does boost collagen.
I think it’s weird everyone looks the same and original beauty is being lost :(

I cant tell one character from another in movies anymore! So i can't follow the storyline!
You mean sculptra for hiv wasting that’s not a HA filler.
Birth control pills have been around forever and their cumulative damage is still being quantified.
Impacts to ground water, accumulation in mammals, birds and fish and even subsequent human generations is still being “considered”.
The Less intervention the best.
The pill has been around for many years and its effects are still being quantified.
Don't say that around the covid vax people, lol!
And yet most of the world ran right out to get those 💉💉💉 like good little sheep.
Dissolving filler doesn’t hurt. I do regret hating I had body dysmorphia! And that’s the heart of this
@@cassidybrewer And it doesn't even "remove" the tattoo color.

@@LaelHansenLael please reply to my comment 💗😭
Depends on who you are. It’s a blessing and a curse.
Its a blessing because its just a relief to no longer worry about what anyone, including you, think of how you look.
We are deeply and tragically failing our girls and women. Imagine what we could be doing in the world with all the energy (and money) we spend on this. It's like we've taken ten steps back and we did it willingly. WHY.
Who is we? Im or telling these bishes to put that in their faces. It’s called self esteem
That's also a result of patriarchy

Her feet. She had "ugly feet" according to her, so she got surgery to make her feet cute.)
I think surgery can get addicting, cause she started out just getting a little botox, and then got addicted to "looking perfect." It is really sad to see her now. She used to look just like her Mom, and now she looks like every other influencer.

My non aging secret is being blessed with oily skin. I’m 45 with no consistent skin care routine, never use spf on my face, no wrinkles and no filler. My mom and sisters skin is the same.
I would regret it 😥 I was so close to going down the filled rabbit hole but I decided I don’t want that face fat/ lips look.

Coffee. Cafeine makes you age like milk
If you experience fever, headache, or ANY change in the eye/eyes after injections--> Immediately go to the emergency room. Early diagnosis is the most important factor in determining good/bad outcome.
If you choose to wait, you are risking sepsis, stroke and death.
Yes, you're absolutely right! The women who've experienced such terrible side effects survived because they were super early in noticing the signs!
My mum had filler in her nose (we both have a large hook nose) but, her nose looks twice the size - it's a shame as I've asked her not to get it done :(
Omg reading this, I thought you were like 50, but you're 29?? I guess its easy for us to feel positive about aging when we have barely started lol
THIS ⬆️. I just turned 50 and I love the way I look, I loved my life, and I love myself. That was not the case when I was younger and ignorant. ❤
If you don't have a good personality and a positive outlook on life, you're gonna end up a Karen.
@@hayley8907 but the evidence of this video, and a lot of girls who I'm friends with.. don't want to age.. they're scared of it, want to reverse it.
@@Grandma_Jizzzzzzzard…I’m sorry but menopause is no gift. If you mean aesthetically then you do you but the issues it can cause to your body and mental state are horrendous a lot of the time.
Cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, mood swings, suicidal ideologies, tachycardia, atrophic vaginitis, migraines, insomnia, night sweats, urinary incontinence, painful vaginal dryness. Just to name a few.
Love you angel!! ❤️ I didn't mean to scare you, but it's really good to look at all the information that's available so you can make an informed decision!
And supplements! They are so underrated. But skin care supplements worked WONDERS for me.
Anxiety can be useful sometimes, it’s a bitch, but one that loves you being alive😭
Same, reason for why I don’t have any tattoos.
Claustrophobic? 🤔
@@Samson16436 yea..... "a feeling of discomfort or discontent caused by being in a limited or restrictive situation or environment"
I'm aware that it's not true "claustrophobia" and is in fact a sensory issue- but it's the same panicked feeling. 😉
I first noticed this effect on Robin McGraw (Dr. Phil’s wife). I never thought she looked younger; she just looked weird.
The worst thing is that she lies and says she has nothing done and promotes her BS skincare on her husbands show any chance she gets. So greedy and disingenuous.
Look at Joyce wilder stein from many years ago. She was addicted to plastic surgery. Was called the cat woman. Then a few years ago tried to say oh it’s her bone structure. 😂yeah there are those of us old enough to remember . She resembled Chrissy teigan and Madonna. A circus freak.
54 year young female here!
Please, inform yourself, study your face, your lifestyle before doing anything!
I’m so lucky I was warned about fillers 2 years ago after I started researching the « aging gracefully » trend.
I am fighting the aging somewhat but I picked my battles! I don’t touch my undereyes ( too risky) or my lips ( I’m not a fish! )
For the rest, I use bio-stimulators to push my body to produce its own collagen-elastin. It is a slow process, but it is working and very natural looking. It doesn’t make me look younger ( in my opinion nothing does, even plastic surgery, when looking up close ) but it makes me look fresher and I love it!
What bio-stimulators would you suggest?
@@Polly-Esterismyname PLLA for low movements areas ( since like fillers, it can spread so best used for temples, pre auricular) and hyper diluted CaHa for high movements areas ( neck, nasal folds) Both are to be injected via a cannula preferably.
You can also inject liquid PCL all over face via mesotherapy, no risk of obstruction and if you are not afraid of small needles, easy to do it yourself.
Again, these are slow working, you start to see results after 2 months but they give nice results and it is your own collagen-elastin!
I jus present masculine so been young is not a priority
The risk of granulomas with biostimulators scares me. I was looking into prp /prf
@@SieMiezekatze same here :)
Wtf
Where did you read about this please?
😳
The powder used on faces ,mostly men was full of lead…..
That picture of Chrissy is so scary
I do not know how any man looks at her and thinks that is attractive. Just gross.
Almost 52 and SO glad I have never had Botox or fillers in my life. Praise be. Thank you 🙏🏻
❤
“Where are the skilled injectors?” 😂😂😂
FR!!! The celebrities who made this go big, don't have skilled injectors???? Then WTF 😂🤣😂🤣
Sunscreen, water, sleep, exercise and low stress. The latter has been the hardest for me to achieve, but a career change has done wonders for me.
Ken Berry on TH-cam.

it’s a blessing to grow old naturally. sometimes, people are taken away from us too soon and never had a chance to grow old.
I needed to see this after a over done pillow faced coworker told me to put filler on top of my cheekbones last night. That's very close to the eyes. Not gonna give myself eye problem or lymphatic issues. I also can't take her criticism considering she risked her life for a bigger butt (BBL)
Last night?! That's a lot of nerve!! 😂😭 OMG I need to make a video about how BBL's apparently smell... I'm scared!!

It’s always us women putting pressure on ourselves (via doomscrolling Instagram) or other women with this stuff, but then we turn around and blame men…
It’s wild to tell people that no matter your experience with fillers/ treatments
I really enjoy your personality and video topics.
I was surprised at the end of this video. It's commendable that you actually did research on alternatives to these procedures. A lot of people say to just not do it, which is not going to resonate with most people. I look forward to seeing more videos from you..
Also, I'm so glad you did not get work done. You are gorgeous! 🌸
Omg you're so sweet, you're making me blush!! 😭❤️ Thank you so much for watching, I'm really happy you enjoyed the video! xoxo!!
It absolutely boggles my mind how many people think fillers are nothing to be concerned about
I wanted to get cool sculpting done on my love handles ,the doctor told me i didn't need it, i am glad she told me that
OMG that's incredible - it's probably because you look gorgeous just the way you are 😍
I looked into it. The side effects can be bad. I think there’s a celebrity suing a doctor about her procedure
No side effects but no results either. And it’s painful as hell.
I got cool sculpt on my lower stomach. Although I liked the results. I will say it’s sooo painful. They try to make it out like it’s just a “uncomfortable” bs it hurt
I wanted kybella on my neck because my jawline isn’t crisp even when I’m very thin, and they called in a team of four people to tell me I was crazy and my chin was already gorgeous in profile.
Very sweet of that office.
Thank you for your honesty
Flawed fillers and botched botox is a fb support group that's very eye opening as well.
I'm scared to read at this point 😭 I'm not sure how much more I can handle!
I was never informed of potential necrosis from my provider during the consultation. Thank God for the internet! I cancelled the appointment. Never getting filler.
Im glad
In the medical field, that area around your nose is referred to colloquially as "The Triangle of Death", since the blood vessels there shunt directly to the brain.
I’m 42 and I have never gotten any fillers, heck I have never even dyed my hair! My mom always told me just get enough sleep, drink enough water and get exercise and wear sunblock. And wear moisturizer and eye cream. Thats what I’ve always done. It’s so sad to me that ppl will inject themselves with these things and not have any idea what they’re going to do to their body a few years later.

Well I guess Asian women definitely were into something when they did Gua Sha and lymphatic drainage rather than filler.

Grey hair can be very sexy. Embrace it or just dye it. Do whatever makes you happy. My mom and two young cousin’s hair started turning white when they were all 15. They all just went to the hairdresser to get highlights. ❤️❤️❤️

I don't necessarily think young people get filler to look younger, its purely to fix perceived flaws and keep up with the changing beauty standard
Also let’s not forget the possibility of necrosis 💀
There's a puppet called Madame and these people all look just like that thing.
Everyone needs to watch BOTCHED!
I’m 41. I’ve never gotten filler and don’t plan on it! 🤷🏻♀️
I found your channel a few days ago and can’t get enough of your content. Finally an influencer standing strictly for NO PLASTIC.❤️
I'm proud of you ❤
5:11 Dang Chrissy Tiegan really looks like that puppet thing from Saw.
omg yes!...the jigsaw puppet.
can't unsee it now
This is the problem with the “instant gratification” types nowadays. They don’t bother to research. They are the “I don’t care. I want it NOW” society.
Filler looks so bad.
The arsenic green is another interesting one.
Donatella Versace a perfect example 🤦♀️😱
Oh yeah,id forgotten about her. Remember Jocelyn wilderstein? The cat lady. I think hers was from plastic surgery. Or the old stories of fillers going like concrete.
I think it's so important to remember that beauty standards change over time. I grew up in the 90s where thin eyebrows were in and Gwyneth Paltrow (who has pretty thin lips) was considered to be one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood (and she's still stunning!). Your face is not a trend and the best thing you can do is embrace your natural features
I used to get fillers.. however, it’s now been ~2 years that I have not touched my face. Thank you Lord for leading me to stop.
I’ll keep them!😂
Amazing work to make such a drastic change for your health. If you care to share what you did to accomplish this I’d be very interested to hear.
This was recommended to me, and I’m excited to hear what you have to say, but wow the changes I’ve seen you go through from rap reactions to music to this is crazy
I didn’t even know about those other changes 😂
K babe!?'
....
It was always crazy.
Trying to get pics of my family members from past generations to see where I get my features, especially the heavily Slovak influenced ones I don’t always appreciate.. It’s not easy because my dads parents were divorced, my dads maternal grandparents were immigrants and my mom was adopted but I’ve really liked the idea of embracing the line of people who made me look the way I do
It's pretty incredible when you think about it, how many had to come before you to make your life even possible in the first place! I love that 🥹
Saw a 20/20 in the 90s about the risk of fake products at discount stores with harmful products. Here we are now...
Definitely interested in the alternatives to filler/botox episode!!
I’m honestly so glad my mother was the kind of woman that not only wasn’t one to hide their age and just didn’t care about her age, but also was very much into natural home remedies and skincare made with fruits and vegetables😅 fillers and Botox are just so out of the norm in my life that I gladly never thought about getting it😭
Madonna looks like Jigsaw from the Saw movies 😭 it's so scary!
Ashley Judd is one of the most terrifying example of how fillers can distort an absolutely beautiful woman’s face.
She was soooooo beautiful. I don’t know what water they drink in Hollywood but tooo many beautiful woman end up with distorted faces. It’s so sad
Omg what a great point. If millionaires don’t have a skilled, nobody does.
Thanks to all the instagram girlies for serving as fillers' test subjects
