The last three years were a nightmare and you really helped me go through a lot of dark moments (and also to restore my faith in humanity). Someday in the future, when my son comes to bass slapping age, I'll tell him the tale of how a group of unrelated people on the internet saved his father's life again and again during the first great global pandemic, including the great Davie504, first of his name.
It wasn’t a Christmas purchase but I’ve had a liking to the Bass for a while and it wasn’t until I found your channel and the awesome bass covers you did a while ago that made me pull the trigger for my first bass and I decided to go for something along the lines for a standard body style 4 string for about $400 it does look pretty nice the color palette I found makes it look like one of those Orange Cream Novelty popsicles
It's wild how some days ago Davie said that he would sue some musicians for using his song without permission and now he's generously donating to them.
For Christmas, I did get a bass. 10 years ago, my uncle - an awesome bass player - passed away from cancer. This year, my aunt moved out of her house and gave me his Warwick Streamer Stage II. An awesome instrument can do so much to inspire musicians... I haven't felt like playing bass for years but now I have gotten right back into it. I'm glad I am able to keep the music going on his instrument. I am so grateful to my uncle and aunt for the music. Thank you, Davie, for the awesome bass videos.
Wife got me a ESP LTD F-1004 FM BASS for Christmas.. I love it.. Been playing guitar for 30 years, but arthritis in my old age makes it hard to play those little strings. But after watching you made me want a BASS and gonna learn some SLAP..
