- [THE BEST AIRLINES] After 2 years of waiting, I finally got the chance to fly on Taiwan's newest airline, Starlux Airlines (星宇航空). This new airline commenced their first flight back in January 2020, and cancelled all their flight in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I was supposed to fly on it in March 2020 from Taipei to Penang, however, it was cancelled. The most anticipating moment is here and the experience never disappoints me. Today, I will be flying from Kuala Lumpur - Taipei
Starlux Airlines adopts very trendy and classy design. From its hard products to onboard cabin design. First of all, cabin crew are amazing. They are so friendly and polite. Throughout the service, the always use polite servicing phrases such as "Excuse me, Sorry, Please, Would you..., Thank you..." and etc. I would say their cabin crew are the greatest publicity or marketing of the airlines. Also, this is very much related to Taiwan's hospitality and culture. Kudos to all the cabin crew.
Many claimed that Starlux Airlines has the best inflight meals. It's true. I also tried my partner's meal and it's so delicious. Looking at the meal tray, it's full of meals, fruits, dessert, salad and a hot bun. They also provide metal cutlery set for customers. All seats are provided a pillow, blanket and headset for inflight entertainment. The IFE screen is very responsive and plenty of choices can be found in the movie selection. Passengers can also view the menu from the screen. Starlux Airlines have their own designed cocktail, Sci-Fi Cosmos 2.0 is the most famous one. Since many countries have opened the border, Starlux is opening up more destinations with their new fleet. My next target would be their A330-900neo and of course the brand new A350-900, with the first ever first class cabin in Taiwan-based airlines.

I'm not surprised by the great reviews of Starlux Airlines on the internet so far.
As many Taiwanese travelers know, the CEO of Starlux, K.W. Chang, used to run EVA Air and made it into the 5-star airline it is today.
The presentation and attention to detail of everything are amazing, including the delicious-looking meal.
What really blew my mind was seeing the crew serve ANOTHER round of drinks right before landing, that's unheard of and not done !
But again, I'm not surprised. CEO K.W. Chang is out to prove he's not only the newest kid on the block in Taiwan air travel, but the BEST one too !
Agree with you. Under this amazing CEO's leadership, Starlux deserves to be the next five stars' airlines in the near future. They are really generous, offering a sense of premium and luxury to all the guests from ground to onboard

Great video as always. Good to know JX frequently fly to KUL now. As for food, I flown MH recently and yes, their food need improvement, especially their portion. As for SQ, their box meals is not attractive at all, at least for me. Hope to fly JX one day.
That's true. They operate daily flight now. Surprisingly, the air fare is more or less the same as MH's promotional fare. If I ever plan for a trip to Taiwan, pls give JX a try. You would love it. True, being a premium airline, SQ's meal box is really "out"

Would love to try JX too in the future, just that their flight schedule timings between Taiwan and Singapore isnt that good. Hopefully their flight frequency may increase over time :)

As more aircrafts are coming in, hopefully JX can perform well for KUL and SIN's routes so more frequencies are added to their existing one. Once again, thanks for your support.

This economy class beats so many major airlines business class. Latam, United, American should really learn from this. Cabin crew are so amazing. I was shocked to see this. Meals, products, crew, everything is so good.

You are the most welcome. Thanks for watching my video. Yeah, I have the same thought as well. Next potential city would definitely be BKI because BKI has great potential. Also, previously China Airlines used to serve this route and now it’s wholly “dominant” by AirAsia only at this time. Hope to see more routes coming up such as BKI and JHB to TPE.
The TPE - BKI route has a long history. When I was a kid (20+ years ago) my late father used to bring me to KKIA on Sundays to spot planes while having lunch. I was always excited to see planes from other countries and in those days 2 Taiwanese airlines flew to BKI i.e. Transasia Airways and Uni Air. I do miss the old days when more foreign airlines operated to BKI. Nowadays our international routes are dominated by AK/MH. Not that I don't support our local airlines but it does make plane spotting at BKI less interesting...

That's true. I am trying to seek a connecting flight, say BKK-TPE-NRT, KUL-TPE-NRT or SIN-TPE-NRT, no flight can be found. Hopefully they offer that which I believe will come very soon after this.
@@Dragflyer9669 yea bro, after they expand more of their routes with the newly added A350, I guess they would start offering connecting flights especially from SEA to north east asia or North America.
I requested to take a picture together with the cabin crews but got rejected, i'm not a frequent flyer, not sure if this is normal or not.

You are the most welcome. Are you referring to the inflight meals? Basically in almost all asian based full service airlines, inflight meals including drinks are complimentary.
Indeed Malaysia Airlines & Singapore Airlines now cut back a lot on catering, especially on regional flights, which is disappointing.
Agree, that's truly disappointing, not a good, convincing reason to claim that the shrinking of food quality and quantity is due to covid. MAS and SQ are both my favourite. Sad to see if their inflight meals never improve.

I see this airlines is very clean and newer than China airlines. The China airlines is very old.

Unfortunately they have pricey baggage allowance,2nd check in bag cost $$$.I will stick with EVA!
I was almost charged with that hefty fee as I wasn't aware they apply 1 piece baggage policy for my ticket-type. Luckily my another luggage was a small one and I can carry it onboard.
I'm just curious, at 8:42, what did you ask the flight attendant and what was her response?
I asked the crew if I can have the second portion if I'm still hungry after savouring the first portion. Crew responded she would check it for me if there is any extra after serving all the passengers.

没事 凡事都有第一次 当时我的班机准时抵达，一切都挺顺利的。如果你是飞吉隆坡台北这一班机，上个月我又去的时候提取了行李接近晚上9点，就在行李处那边还能够直接办电话卡和买悠游卡。整体来说台湾在旅游这方面是做的挺周详周到的。希望能帮到。
Starlux Just flew from LAX to TPE Economy Seats are terrible, if person is reclined you can't get out also seats are not comfortable. Customer service terrible english is not good, i know.... but telling me I cant make my flight cause the connection is late (there flight) so my new flight the next day will be at 2030 when they mean 1230 is a problem.... customer no service only available 930 am to 530 pm.. I was told i would not be reimbursed since my flight the next day was early. Wont fly on this airline again why take the chance.

Yeap. It was a new experience and I was so excited. Wanted to experience all their meals. I was asking her if I could have the second portion, provided that I still can eat or they have extra meal left.

1:44 - Girl didn't even show her boarding pass. Just ignored the staff. First time at an airport gate much?
It's not the girl "didn't even show her boarding pass". She travelled in business class and the tickets are slightly different from economy's boarding pass. The staff just needs a quick glance and immediately knows that she is in business class. Also, my video shows the scene before we proceeded to the boarding room, documents and passes are inspected, if you are familiar with the satellite terminal in KLIA. So, I don't see if there is any problem with the girl.
Hello everyone, helping a friend here… anyone knows how and where to check etinerary ticket of STARLUX that after online booking, after she paid. in email there’s only ticket number but no etinerary ticket mailed
I would suggest you reach out to its official webpage, see if you can get its 24/7 Hotline for help. Else, please consider drop them a message on their social media account (Facebook or Instagram).
Try to go to the "Manage My Booking" and key in the ticket number, first, last name and see if flight info was reflected. If it does, it means the ticket exists.
