If you can get a quest at a book store, you can grind it indefinitely. By starting the quest, waiting a few seconds for it to load, and then exiting and reloading the game, the quest will no longer be active but ready to be activated, allowing you to loot and re-loot the POI an unlimited number of times. Resetting at the start of the quest allows you to prevent yourself accidentally completing the quest or leaving the zone and failing it. If it is a fetch the supplies quest, the delay before exiting is important. If you start the quest and quit out before the game spawns in the courier bag, you can trigger an odd bug where EVERY garbage bag that can be converted into a courier bag will be, resulting in less loot during that clear. If you can’t get a quest at a book store, I strongly recommend grinding at Jerry’s Fill (tier 1). There’s two crates inside and two more on the roof, all of which are great for tool books (salvage, harvest, and repair). You can unlock tier 6 impact driver in about 3 days of pretty easy grinding. A bunch of lootables in the POI can also give motor tool parts. That POI also is a great source of steel by salvaging the gas pumps. There’s also an office chair that gives 6 leather every time you pick it up and scrap it (don’t salvage them, the 1 mechanical part isn’t worth the 4 leather you lose out on). Just put a storage crate down on the road outside the reset area and collect all the loot you want.
Excellent Video. This can't be underestimated. Relying on random chance to get you books is a fool's errand. Remember, the new map structures put very small towns in the early biomes, and it isn't until the Wasteland that you get sizeable cities that can be farmed. Iron tools and Workstations are very important early in the game and will allow you to increase your survivability more than any other avenue. As far as rewards go, I almost exclusively choose books as they are the most useful. If you already have learned the books you receive as a reward you can sell it back immediately for a good duke boost. Jade you should do a video on the skill costs and if those capstone abilities are worth it or not. (hint, they aren't worth it considering the skill point cost.)
Be advised that 2 of my chests just deleted their inventory. Am absolutely gutted all the mods I've found and all my armour sets and parts gone!! 😢 and they were well within my land claim area.
So, you mentioned skills helping with finding what you want. I know they say that in their description, but grease monkey doesn't and I'm having a problem finding the armor and plow mods (or schematics) for the vehicles and wondered if grease monkey helped with that. I currently have no points in it. OR I was thinking I had to do more quests for the desert trader (The mod guy), whatever his name is I forget, to actually get those mods. OR is it just about looting higher lvl POI's? I can't find anything on how to get these.
Unfortunately I believe the only real way currently is either delete and restart that world, or possibly click the perma death option? Haven't tried it yet, says it completely resets though.
The location for the crack a book is not right, I went and I’m in the desert and there’s a recycling building in the spot of the supposed “crack a book” sadly
@@TanyaAlina yeah it’s all the same but it randomly generates the buildings and everything in different spots , which is a nice touch , the maps never the same twice
"The Wright Residence" house_old_mansard_07 is a mansion on a mountain in the snow biome with a large library and lots of books as well. Also in the city of Perishton in the snow biom there is a church near by that has a fair amount of books in the basement.
10 out of 10 videos! Im on console bought the game when It first came out years ago. I'm excited to be playing 1.0 now. Can you please do farming, man, best foods to grow and eat? Even if its a small section of a different video.
I kinda hate that you have to rely on rng to learn and unlock things when before you could decide to grind out a skill. It made much more sense that you get better at the thing that you're crafting/doing; such as we seen on the old version on console.
Miss when I could just craft 5000 wooden clubs and become a god...
Call me old but the old version had some better mechanics
While I agree with you, that kinda negates the need to loot. The devs want us to play ALL of their game.
@@Keisuke42 I never said its bad that its gone, I'll just miss my days of playing whack-a-zom with the horde.
That first night really was a shock to say the least lmao

The workaround atm is to not name your chest if you’ve been doing so. Sorry you lost your stuff.
@@Striker612 Oh really!! Thanks for the info 🧡
Patch out yesterday July 29, 2024....FunPimps is on it. Hope they keep up the great job.
Same as this has happened to me 3 times now. Thanks for the fix buddy

I miss having random start spawn, I’m doing a no death challenge, an I’ve had my restart times an it’s always the same spawn location

Choose differnt map to start with
The location for the crack a book is not right, I went and I’m in the desert and there’s a recycling building in the spot of the supposed “crack a book” sadly
Did you make sure the map was navez ?
I second this
Update if you switch the south coordinate with north for the crack a book store it’s the correct location
It seem like there are two different navez. I have two maps going. One shop was on a different spot than the other map.

Loving the 7days to die content man, love all your content if I’m honest but finding this one particularly helpful
Full nerd armour set gives a 25% chance to get a bonus skill point when reading books also.
Nerd body you mean not set and tier 6 body gives a 50% chance for a bonus point

And that the coordinates match
Do you know if commands are a thing on Xbox ?
they are not no
Bro look at the map when show locations! It will make it 10x easier for us to find it.
the map is hidden by fog of war till you get there? folowng cordinates is super simple?
Is this for base seed/gen?
Yes

Good luck Jade! Nice video!
Kinda obvious really.
ya but unless you know co-ordinates you might not think to check out part of the town, ufo is hard to find as is even some of teh book shops
