Marluxia's walking animation is so menacing lol. Great job, though. This fight is probably one of my favourite ones in the series, because of Marluxia's stage altering attacks. The armor entry wave is pretty neat too. Not to mention the godlike remix of the Lord of the Castle. Makes me wonder, if they'll allow us to fight the Dandelion Leaders in the next games, or our companions in general. I wanna see what Lauriam can do with the Keyblade.
I’m curious to know what your ranking is of the data fights so far; from a pure quality perspective. Marluxia is definitely a top tier design, probably tied with Xemnas for me.
If I had to rank the KH3 Data Battles, I would personally do: S: Marluxia, Xemnas, Xion A. Ansem, Darku, Master Nort, Young Nort, Xigbar B. Terra, Vanitas C. Larxene D. Luxord, Saix As for 2fm: S. GG. So far I've beaten 7 org. members on Critical and Marluxia gave me the most trouble by far. Especially that combo when he summons the petals. But it was crazy satisfying to finally beat him. Can't wait to get to Yozora
theres actually another opening you can do but im not sure if it only works with counter slash. right at 0:59 when you block his attack, instead of dodging you can time your counter right and using the i-frames you can press attack again and it will stagger him out of the next attack (the jump that gives him armor).
Is it just me or does part of the music with an echoing beep sound like some people's microwaves when they go off. I know it sounds a bit like mine and keeps making me think I cooked something and forgot something in there. Cause I know mine goes off once in a while if I left something in there after cooking.
It's an ability. I don't remember the name, but you can even see in the footage that you get a quick prompt to hit O instead of X to slide behind him after blocking.
Man it's really weird how Riku is playable in Radiant Garden. Do you think they'll release an update where we can play through the story as Riku? Like in Re chain?
Aria the Revenant they won't, remind is supposed to be the last big dlc,plus if they even did that for riku they would in theory have to do it for all the playable keybladers to be fair for everyone

Riku and Sora have always been the two main playable characters in the games. They already have all the animations for Riku to be playable, it's just a matter of if they'll do it.
It's not happening. They're on to the next game. And plus they would need to add all new cutscenes, boss fights, new ability trees for Riku, party members(?), etc. Too much work to go into a game that's already over a year old and just saw its "Final Mix" come out as a DLC. And if Inhad to sit through 30 hours listening to KH3 Riku's VA I'd blow my brains out, but that's just me

Bizkit047 I don't know if you noticed this or not but I just recently found another opening on marluxia which is after he retaliates from high revenge value. Once you have dodged it you can quickly punish him again but it seems strict & I almost thought I found a loop for his fight but I think they figured it might get exploded. Like I said I wasn't sure if you knew this but if you already know then ignore this lol.
How the hell do you do that thing where you go into a regular combo after airstepping instead of using a Flowmotion Attack? Maybe it's just me being dumb but I can never get it.

Data Org/Secret Boss have special scaling so you can never do chip to them even with base Sora. They just didn't want to do it for the main game for some reason.
Biz is there any old kh character you wish you could re- fight in kh3 with the updated combat system? I for one would love if they made a updated version of the Vexen or Zexion fights, and a new Sephiroth fight of course.
I feel like they shoulda added a few more voice lines to mix things up, cause this gets way too repetitive way too quick. Like, I realize it would double the work, but maybe having 2 different voice tells for an attack instead of 1 would be a lot better. Also, is it just me, or are some of the lines like "READY?!" used for multiple different attacks, compounding the issue even more?
Which of the new abilities do you suggest using? I have a hard time understsnding what makes a move good or bad. Is it just depending on when you can cancel it?
Also, any intent to do this with the other Limit Cut bosses? Perhaps even doing such a limitation against the fight where you can play as Kairi, but playing as a limited Sora instead.

Would you recommend this ability setup for generally all of the game, or is this specifically good for this one fight? Only referring to combo modifiers and the like.
@@Aufrecht okay I just finished a full crit playthrough of the main game + remind and can confirm that yeah these abilities are all you need/want. Definitely wish we had these from day 1 cause I think the general perception of this game would be much greater.
He's using the "Counter Impact" reprisal. It's an AoE counter. Mainly to deal with those Rose Petal enemies that Marluxia spawns, as the reprisal hits around Sora.
Added new modifiers (flash step, aerial sweep, and aerial dive are back) and you can now cancel out of finishers. Blocking is a lot more consistent now as well but there are still some guard fails present. Overall, it's a MASSIVE improvement from vanilla KH3 Sora's base combo.

space_ dude_ This isn't KH2FM. Literally why would the darkness pools do damage alone??? What are you talking about, "they should do damage"? All of his attacks have different properties. It has nothing to do with mashing the X button, if you aren't high up in the air enough and go above them, then they activate and do what I said. And this is the case that hits people for not going doubleflight.
Rev the scatman personally I like to put Speed Slash off. I find it pretty slow to execute and to cancel out of it. Aerial dodge is another I like to turn off, because I find air slide more efective.

IIRC, when Marluxia uses that attack in which he pulls you, then slash, then pulls you again and dives, there's an opening in the first pull. I'm pretty sure I managed to start a combo by countering right when he performs a slash after the first pull.
Not trying to backseat game, but it's easier to just use Buzz Saw on the rose petals. Counter Impact is so bad imo, I thought this could be the one fight where I thought I'd go hard with it, but nah. Also easier to get an opening by using Buzz Saw immediately as he summons them. I did this fight myself but not as heavy restrictions but I could honestly try to do the same with more.
@@heavyrain5949 Not sure, but All Pro Codes disables it anyway. Someone like Den or Mikito probably know the damage calculation well enough to answer that.
Just a guess but probably because it has like a bajillion s. Lot of enemies you can skip attacks you'd normally have to learn to dodge/block by just using kick. For example on this Marluxia fight when he does the unblockable attacks at the end of combos you can just pop counter kick on the previous attack and still have enough s to avoid damage from the unblockable hit. Also it doesn't ridiculous damage during armor phases for bosses. I would not call it an overpowered ability but it certainly feels a bit overtuned compared to the other counters.
@@StephenTheZ It also last a lot longer than other counter and gives more hit, so for these attack where you have a little timing to hit the bosses Counter Kick pretty much guaranteed you will hit them even if your timing would have been completly off with another Counter. All that said Counter Kick sucks when you must counter an attack consist of 1 hit and you have little time to hit the boss (such has Luxord 4 Cards move).
What abilities do you use on sora? My sora always seems to attack for way too long and makes me get hit. Which finishers and combo extenders do you use or is a good reccomendation?

Disable the flowmotion abilities in the abilities menu and voilá.

imo id pay for a dlc where we get to play as the other playable characters for all these fights + yozora, itd be a blast

All of the game. All the new abilities are the only ones you'll need. Old ones are much better now though.

Why do people say counter kick is the best reprisal? It just seems too sluggish for me.
It has massive amounts of s that are also hitboxes, so it gives you openings extremely easy....in most fights. Not all.

For example on this Marluxia fight when he does the unblockable attacks at the end of combos you can just pop counter kick on the previous attack and still have enough s to avoid damage from the unblockable hit. Also it doesn't ridiculous damage during armor phases for bosses.
I would not call it an overpowered ability but it certainly feels a bit overtuned compared to the other counters.
@@StephenTheZ It also last a lot longer than other counter and gives more hit, so for these attack where you have a little timing to hit the bosses Counter Kick pretty much guaranteed you will hit them even if your timing would have been completly off with another Counter. All that said Counter Kick sucks when you must counter an attack consist of 1 hit and you have little time to hit the boss (such has Luxord 4 Cards move).

What abilities do you use on sora? My sora always seems to attack for way too long and makes me get hit. Which finishers and combo extenders do you use or is a good reccomendation?
