Really good video GQ , love having someone talk about these hair types in a respectful way especially on this channel. And I’m sure so many guys needed this
This is way better than those ppl who post random videos in their bathrooms about how to get curly hair. He's a professional and actually knows what he's doing and how to do it!
You are so right! All thru the pandemic people saying ethnic hair textures are so hard to manage and salons needed to be open etc. NO. YOU CAN MANAGE YOUR OWN HAIR.
@@driveby9536 - Ok...But white hair and black hair are completely different. We have multiple grades of texture, depth, and each requires a different level of care (as this video clearly highlighted). And while I can't sit here and say anything about how white hair works, I know that as a black man with a natural hair, there's a lot that I have to do with my hair that a white person doesn't. Do white men have to water their hair every night and wear a satin lined cap when they sleep to keep moisture locked in? Do white men have to oil their hair, apply leave in conditioners, and be sure to use the right shampoo for their particular grade? I'm not saying that they don't, but I am saying that we do.
This video is a true treasure, my hair is around a 3c and 4a but mostly 3c and it really helped me how to manage my hair a lil, any more tips please, new sub here!!

I feel like most "barbers" don't know how to actually cut hair styles for tighter textures. they give us the same 2/3 shapes and options, when there are in reality a lot of ways to cut tight her to enhance shape, style and aesthetic. ( Like Deva/ Rezo, but for men)
@@paopassan6061 possibly a good leave in conditioner could be a great start. Keeps curls moisturized and leave in conditioner wouldn’t be too matte or too shiny.
