I bought a pair of these and just burst out laughing when I saw the length of the charging cable - so the first thing you need to do is get a longer charging cable. The headphones are excellent but you'll need to turn off a few things like the speak-to-chat as it can be annoying when it constantly turns itself on and off. Be sure to turn on DSEE mode as it improves the sound quality of MP3s and older recorded audio.

I have the Sony xm4 and I would say they are the best I have ever tried in my life besides the noise cancellation, they are my first headphones with that technology and also with hires.

Still worth it. I just bought it by advice from my friend who use XM5. " Except what it looks, It doesn't different so much. Just buy XM4 " He said.😂

If taken care of properly, XM4 should last 2-3yrs more esp now that 3rd party pads now available you can replace them

tbh just go for the xm5 you can get them in almost same price with a discount. xm5 are better imo i started getting bluetooth connectivity problem in xm4 after awhile nothing in the 5s yet.

Both area great . Xm5 is light weight and not as heavy as the xm4 and when speaking on the phone the xm5 is more clearer than xm4 . The xm5 is a bit more better in noise cancelation and don’t use buttons but swiping or tapping on the right side it’s very comfortable. The other differences is that the xm4 can fold while the xm5 can’t.

I’ve had the Xm4 for about a year now, I HIGHLY recommend them. Got them on sale for about $250, and I have them because of their noise cancelling function since I’m on the spectrum and get overstimulated easily. They still work just as well a year later, and they’re highly customisable so you can change the settings easily to fit your needs. For me, the fact that they’re foldable is very important for if I take them around with me, which is the biggest reason I went with the Xm4 rather than the Xm5 (as well as price).

XM5 - for work spaces / long flights / ANC (god-tier)
XM4 - for portability

Also for the XM4’s plastic hinges can break pretty easily, so if you plan to use them a lot it might be better to get the xm5 because they don’t fold. So there’s no hinges to break.

I heard from many tech youtuber that sony xm4,5 ka best headphone. But genuinely i feel it is lacking comfort, produce sweating in 30min of use, make vaccum during noise cancellation and the music is flat, not the best. My friend told me a 6yr old bose Q35 is even more lighter comfortable and best sound exp for music lovers...sony has only better ANC
