Using hubby ID: My dad gave me both of my dremels one after I moved from my home town and the other years later when he was done with his. So they are fairly elderly models (mid 80s) even so, I have just got a new Damond cut wheel to trim the ceramic wall tiles I am using for a new bathroom back splash. I love my dremels and have been so glad for their utility so often. Great for house Reno’s, art projects and repairs. A great gift for a handy daughter even better for one who is interested in becoming handy. Great video!

I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.
Thank you very much I really did enjoy your video explain the different types of attachments you can get for your dremmel. Thanks again keep up the good work.

When using the wood cutting mini saw blades... should the point of each individual blade go into the wood? I'm confused which way to install it onto my Dremel!
Hi Barbara, I'm not sure I understand your question. Please tell if you refer to the original or replacement wood cutting wheel and try to explain. What do you mean by 'each individual blade'?
@@XDIY 😂😂 ok, I just received 6 metal blades for my Dremel that are labeled on only 1 side with 20,000 rpm, sized from 22mm up to 44mm. Each one looks like a mini version of a circular saw blade! @@Thanxforyourwords Yes, the sharp tips of the blade's teeth (point) should go into the wood. Is there a better brand with all the same accessories you can recommend? I really want a dremel but reviews are getting worse and worse everywhere.
Thank you! I didn't try another brand yet, so I cant tell... but I assume that most of the accessories will fit to other brands chuck, since that there are not original accessories that fits Dremel, so I guess it's the same size. The accessories that probably won't fit are the Plunge Router Attachment, Flex Shaft and such other accessories that connects to the Dremel body. This is just an assumption... I'm not sure. In the reviews you saw, did it refer to specific models of Dremel (e.g. 3000?) or others?

I'm not sure how accurate you need it to be, but I use "Dremel 561 Multipurpose Cutting Bit" at the video - 7:06 to cut plastic (I'm not sure it's acrylic) - amzn.to/3qd5aMa You have also Dremel plastic cutting wheels that people say that cut it (I didn't try) - amzn.to/3W2cQOC For engraving I was that someone used these (I didn't try) - amzn.to/3uE2Y1N I recommend to check the questions for each items on Amazon. If you need to cut long straight cuts on plastic sheets, I would check "Evolution circular saw" which has multi purpose blade. I have it but didn't try to cut acrylic, but only metal and wood, plastic till now. Read about it.

Thanks for the comment. When I create a video I always consider how long should the video be and the speed of displaying the content. This video is the longest I've made and I thought it was too long and I show a lot of accessories in it. Anyway I'm glad to get the review and learn from it!
@@XDIY Thank you for replying! I have just about all of the attachments for the Dremel and your video was the only one that went through them all...I just wished it was a bit s l o w e r. Take care
I've had several of these over the years and pull it out occasionally for some small inexact task. My experience as repeatedly illustrated in the video is that after using the Dremel on the work piece of work piece looks like crap. Build a box to put it in together with all the accessories which are small, fragile and easily misplaced.
As I mentioned at the intro of the video, the purpose was to show a quick demo and not precise work, so some of the results doesn't look good. I think that getting good results when working with Dremel, is a combination of high quality accessories and precise work. Depending on the work you need to do, sometimes both are required, and sometimes not :)
YOU ARE THE BEST ON TH-cam! MERCI BEAUCOUP!!! PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE FOLLOWING DREMEL PRODUCTS: SHAPER / ROUTER TABLE, MODEL 231 MULTI MAX MM50 4300 HIGH SPEED ROTARY TOOL THANKS AGAIN FOR BEING THE BEST!!! HUGO
This is a great advertisement for this device Unfortunately, I have other experiences with this tool.Rapid heating allows you to work for a few seconds, then it must cool down . If you work one moment too long, the switches will melt, ignoring the temperature of the tool, which you cannot keep with your bare hand. I will definitely not buy another one, it is a tool for a modeller for many 10 years. Cutting thin plywood, as in this video, can end in the death of this device. It's actually hard to find a good application.
Thanks for your feedback about your experience with the tool. It's not a paid promotion or sponsored video... I just shared my experience after over 3 years of use as a DIY'er. I'm not a heavy Pro user, but I use it relatively a lot. Can you please share which model did you use? I know that for example Dremel 3000 has some known issues. BTW, most of the reviewed accessories (original or replacement) shown in the video, probably can be used with other brands as well.
@@XDIY UPS. sorry. it's awkward. my english is very bad that's why i use a translator.I had two devices from this company and unfortunately they were useless very quickly and ended up in the garbage can, one melted the switch button, the other probably burned out the coil. Unfortunately, I don't even have any packaging for them anymore and I can't say exactly what model it was.the seller guaranteed that the latter is stronger and will serve for a long time. 👈🙂 he died faster than the weaker one.I used an extension and didn't realize it was too hot anymore ... a drill with an extension cord is better.👈 👋🙂👍
Dislikes for using replacement attachments! Why you support bad peoples instead of people who created dremel and attachments? You don’t like there products or you just don’t respect them and there time that they spent to create this amazing tool.
The original attachments are great of course... but there are also great replacement attachments. I'm showing both on this video... "support bad people"? You're over reacting... :)
eash ... ok you made a video .. well done. My guess that Dremel is now trashed/finished for any precision work. The bearing up front housed in plastic cannot stand up to the abuse you have given the tool. Your speeding up of video also hides how ineffective the tool is for doing certain jobs. I have had a few Dremels and quite frankly, they are overhyped. Some cheap Chinese devices costing a fraction of a Dremel can completely blow the Dremel out of the water. Dremel does shine with its attachments and the only Dremel I would buy is a decent cordless one.
No, my Dremel is still alive and working. I'm not a heavy user though, but a hobbyist, so I'm not using it everyday. Regarding speeding up the video - it's not for 'hiding how ineffective the tool is'. The video is long enough also without showing everything in regular speed. it sounds like I put it in high speed to fool the viewers... so, it's not.
As I read in another review of Dremel...... "This is the most useless tool I ever bought". I have owned one of these for twenty years. I have tried to use it three or four times, with disappointing results! So I concur with the evaluation, "This is the most useless tool I ever bought". It is just a toy, not a serious tool.

I'm not sure how accurate you need it to be, but I use "Dremel 561 Multipurpose Cutting Bit" at the video - 7:06 to cut plastic (I'm not sure it's acrylic)
- amzn.to/3qd5aMa
You have also Dremel plastic cutting wheels that people say that cut it (I didn't try) - amzn.to/3W2cQOC
For engraving I was that someone used these (I didn't try) - amzn.to/3uE2Y1N
I recommend to check the questions for each items on Amazon.
If you need to cut long straight cuts on plastic sheets, I would check "Evolution circular saw" which has multi purpose blade. I have it but didn't try to cut acrylic, but only metal and wood, plastic till now. Read about it.
Thanks
good job
Thank you :)

This may be the only DIY video ever that needs background music
Most of the times I read that people hate music in videos... Is the video boring without music? 😃
Not boring to me. The dremel had its own music!😆
👍🏻❤️
Thanks ❤
Do not hold work in hand with blades not if you want to keep your fingers. I all it takes is for it to grab and walk around to your hand.
Correct. Thanks 🙏
Great video BUT you could have spent some more time showing what you were doing and how to use the attachments. The speed of your video was just a bit tooooo quick for me.
Take care
@@MegaSickcat 🙏💪

👈🙂 he died faster than the weaker one.I used an extension and didn't realize it was too hot anymore ... a drill with an extension cord is better.👈
👋🙂👍
Thanks :)
I've had two Dremels. They were junk.
Dremel 3000?

eash ... ok you made a video ..
@@XDIY All good ... glad to hear its still useful to you.
@@JasperMulder100 Thanks man. it's good to hear all opinions and experiences. I want to try some cheap Chinese tools later too :)
2:55 - насадка-убийца , диск при легком смещении свободно вылетает из держателя и при 25000 оборотах последствия самые печальные .
Correct, but if you work carefuly and use safety equipment, you reduce the chance of injury...
I just feel the demonstrators go too fast to show how it be used.
Thanks for your comment. 🙏

Thanks ❤️
Mine went into the bin, terrible product and even worse instruction manual.
Thanks for sharing. Which model?
When doing a review video, you should really talk and not only use text.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏 (I hope that the video helped somehow though)
This video got you all the information you needed without him speaking
Proxxon better
I need to try it as well.
does the Proxxon tool have a flexible shaft?
As I read in another review of Dremel...... "This is the most useless tool I ever bought".
I have owned one of these for twenty years. I have tried to use it three or four times, with disappointing results! So I concur with the evaluation, "This is the most useless tool I ever bought". It is just a toy, not a serious tool.
Its a tool for small and sensitive works, and I'm satisfied for few years... anyway I can't argue with your experience...
Did you use dremel 3000?
