The opening of this epic is truly magical. I wonder if Paul Buchanan had any input in the writing of this beautiful thing. It sounds so much like The Blue Nile and not only because of Buchanan's truly operatic delivery. I'm glad this track has been remixed which lessens and balances the enormous climax at around the 5:10 mark. The original felt as if the volume was suddenly cranked right up and sounded a bit forced but the remix is perfect.
The absolute business after all the Blue Nile CD, s you find these 2 tracks I can, t get it why these are not in the charts or played a lot on radio 😍😍

I'd like to suggest two alternative readings of the lyrics. I think the first line at 0.22 should be ' As the seabirds scatter' and at 3.55 and 6.25 it sounds like 'Beacons lead pilgrims to distant shores' to me.
