      More people are divided because of this. People are taking advantage of the chaos to loot not because they care for his death. Okc doesn’t deserve this and he did not deserve to die as well. This truly shows what people are made of. Granted there truly are people who care and protest in the right way, but a majority don’t.

      @shelbyb9965 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@AllAboutVisualStorytelling Majority don't? That's a pretty bold assumption. If a majority of thousands were just there to cause chaos, the whole city would be on fire. It's a few asshats that are causing problems, not the majority of protesters.

    • @AllAboutVisualStorytelling
      @AllAboutVisualStorytelling 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shelby B When 21 states have called in the national guard because of the violence and chaos that shows you it’s not about protesting anymore. If they were protesting in a peaceful and in beneficial way for themselves, police would not be called, teargas would not be thrown in the crowds, and, definitely the nation guard wouldn’t be called either.

    • @AllAboutVisualStorytelling
      @AllAboutVisualStorytelling 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As much as I feel bad for his family, I feel bad for the tens of thousands of police that have had to deal with these crowds and not to mention the shop owners who have lost everything because people think setting peoples stores on fire is going to solve anything.

      And after 10 months have passed, nothing has changed, riots are still happening. When will folks realize this is not helping anyone, change anything, and dividing us more? GO TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENTS, SIT DOWN AND DISCUSS WHAT THE POLICES ARE AND WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE AND WHO NEEDS TO BE FIRED OR VOTED OUT. Sit down as a community and figure the shit out. Being in the middle streets, with signs, screaming slogans are doing nothing, and it's crazy folks think all this ain't being used as a way for criminals to take advantage of. USE YOUR RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE TO CHANGE THINGS NOT PROTECTING.

      Smart enough to allow a protest, but not let it turn into a riot. That's the smart thing to do. The police are not going to be told to let them destroy things. They will protect buildings, businesses, and people if they see protesters becoming violent.

    • @Chloe-qn6yd
      @Chloe-qn6yd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mark James this started as a protest, but it didn’t end as one. It ended as a riot, that is what he was talking about. These people need to realize that you can’t fight fire with fire.

      Colonel Sanders there’s a reason why they’re angry. I’m angry. Things should’ve been done differently. But destroying places, stores, looting, shooting fireworks at cops, beating cops, beating protesters, blocking the fire department from getting to a fire WITH A CHILD INSIDE. That is not ok. Protesting is what people should be doing, not rioting. All rioting is doing is destroying the area, the relationships between the good cops and the people, and to be able to get things done more proficiently. We need to protest. Peacefully. No riots, because it is just setting us back further.

  • @rickeymorris2159

    I guess I am dumb. I just don’t get all this. The cop was in the wrong and needs to be tried and sent to jail. But can’t you protest and not cause others to be late for their jobs? It’s not a good thing when this type of stuff happens. And I do understand what is trying to be accomplished by these protests. Now I don’t understand the looting and stuff but the protests I get. I had a boss once who was African American and he had his CCL or concealed carry license. We went out one time for lunch and on our way back to site we got pulled over. He obeyed every instruction given. When asked if there was any weapons in the vehicle he said yes and showed them his CCL. They took the weapon at the time and ran out IDs. He had a warrant for back child support and again obeyed every instruction given and never resisted and the police were nice and did their job. My boss was fired the next week but we talked and he said that on the way to police station the white officer was friendly and even helped him figure out what needed to be done to get him out faster. Helped him even while he was locked up. I am white and was arrested a few years back by a white officer and I resisted arrest originally and was put to the ground and handcuffed. Now to me the difference in these stories is the word resist not the color of mine or my bosses skin color. Now police should be better trained and go through therapy annually to ensure they are fit for duty. Better yet let’s not hire Jim Bob cause he is married to your sisters daughters uncles wife. Hire people who are qualified to do the job. But like I said I am pretty dumb and sometimes don’t get the big picture. Everyone is all the same. People are people not colors. I don’t get why some black people say that white people owe them something because our ancestors had slaves? Well what if your ancestor was a rapist? Or had children locked in their basement raping them? Does that mean you do to? Quit trying to change the past and let’s change the future. I served alongside several men and women. All of different color. And I would have died for them and vice versa. I guess I am all over with this really. This just touched a cord with me. As it has everyone else. I am sorry to the family of the man that past. And I hope they get justice I truly do. But I will be honest.... I have watched the courts fail in justice many times. My brothers murder was one of those times. Murder did 2 months and was out on bail. So I mean hopefully his family can get the justice needed. The pain from this will never go away. Sorry for the rant. Just wanted to..... talk I guess! Pray for this mans family and America folks. I will pray for you all. I love each and everyone reading this. Goodnight!
