@WanderingWithPaint , The people you call Punjabi are actually Hindko Speakers, who still live in Peshawar and less in Afgahnistan. They are native from Northern Pakistan and Afganistan and not from Punjab. Hindko means Hindi who live in Koh ( Mountains). I am a Hindko speaker from Peshawar. Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan Father, Anil Kapoor Amjad Khan and Vinod Khana are all Hindko Speakers from Present Peshawar. In Afganistan there were big Popultion of Sikh , who were Hindko Speakers. FYI Hindko is very similar to Punjabi but has lots of words from Pushto , farsi and Central Asian languages. It eveolved as Language of Peshawar walled city
Btw, even Dilip Kumar was a Hindko speaker.
