Florida Shark Diving - Cage less free swimming with Bull Sharks in Jupiter FL!

- Florida Shark Diving! We went on a free swim (no cage!) and saw dozens of sharks, including Bull Sharks, a Sandbar shark, and tons of Caribbean Reef Sharks. We went with the crew from floridasharkdiving.com out of Jupiter Fl and had an absolute blast!

Did you get to keep a video or how much was it to keep a recording?
I'm trying to get my parents to take us to do this. While I had assumed we'd be in a cage, the fact that we won't makes it so much cooler and now I want to do it even more!
Problem is, this may scare my parents even more.....
If you can't tell, I would HIGHLY recommend it. Literally one of the coolest experiences of my life.
It hurts my heart seeing those sharks with hooks stuck in them and fishing lines coming off them. We need to do everything we can to preserve this beautiful and docile species

So yesterday I am at a cookout and my buddies and I plan a trip to Florida in October. One of my buddies says we have to dive with sharks in Jupiter. I am like okay. Thinking cage... he is like no cage. This is insane Bull Sharks are like the Pit Bull of sharks. I can’t believe I am watching this.
My thoughts exactly. It is awesome once you realize they dont really care about you.

It was absolutely insane. We are going again in the winter to get a look at Tiger sharks and hopefully hammerhead.

Believe it or not, that was a GoPro Hero 4 that I got about 6 years ago. I just adjusted the setting for the specific shit and it turned out great, no post processing. We were lucky to have an exceptionally clear day.

Wow the reef sharks are effortlessly fast
Are you allowed to go deeper down even if you’re only using a snorkel?
Also does everyone need to be on a rope?
It depends on who you go out with, in this video, they didn't want you straying too far from the rope, but I went again (a few months ago) and they were very strict about having to basically stay on the rope the whole time.

It is a ton of fun, I was super nervous once we got out on the boat but once I was in the water for a few seconds, it was amazing.
those look like lemon sharks to me
Over the course of an hour, there were:
A couple of Caribbean Reef sharks, no Lemons, a few Sandbar sharks and about four of five Bulls. No Tigers or Great Hammerheads unfortunately.
We did see a few Lemons the following year, unfortunately visibility wasn't as good and uploading a video wouldn't be worth the work.
Why would u bait them to swim in there
To attract the sharks.
i'm terrified of sharks😅 is it dangerous? like weren't u scared of them biting u?
Absolutely scared for about 45 seconds, then once I realized the sharks didn't care about us it was super calming!

Do you have to hold onto the rope?
Not really, as long as you stay near it, within about fifteen feet or so, you're fine.
Can anyone do this or do you have to be a licensed diver?
Anybody can do it, we are just snorkeling so no scuba cert needed.

@@wcsdiaries Hahaha, I definitely understand your concern Jack, but this company has been operating for over a decade, with three dives almost every day of the year. Each dive has between 4 - 12 people, so it is safe to say they have taken at least 40,000 people shark diving, and nobody has even been injured by a shark. They do a good job of explaining why you are much more likely to be bitten when in shallow water.
@@bensilver5656 what's the technique to not getting bit? Do you punch the shark or something if it gets too close?
@@wcsdiaries No not at all, they are more scared of humans than we were of them, and I was pretty terrified when I first got into the water. They might swim close, but we are not in their food chain so they don't try biting or eating us.
It literally felt like we had a bunch of puppy dogs swimming around us. They were eating fish and chum but they had no interest in us.

Lord willing I'm going to do this for my birthday in June. I'm so excited! I mean the bragging rights alone to say you swam with the sharks is pretty incredible 😂😂😂
