I have a 1952 99K which would be considered a late 99 but it has the early tension assembly and feed regulator screw. Also, it’s a hand cranked machine without a motor. I’m guessing there were many variations throughout production. Thank you for the really helpful and well made videos 😊👍
You are right, there were quite a few. I love the sound of a hand crank machine, hopefully I will get a couple videos of my hand crank 99 up at some point. Thank you for the kind words!
Perfection Jen! Oh yes... I'm still jealous that you found an aluminum 99... My machine from 1918 has the same, smaller diameter tension disks. I had considered "modernizing" it to the newer style, but the smaller ones kind of grew on me, and now I won't even think of changing it. I just need to find a "real" Singer hand crank for her and get the Chineseum one off. Once again, very well done!
Thanks Bob! I love this little aluminum 99 but when the series is over it goes back to my customer who has so kindly lent it to me for the series. She has a real gem!
I have a 1928 model. It does not have the etching where the spring is limited, It does have the little screw in the side so I think it's the later style?
Hi! There were several variations so it is hard to say. There was no way for me to get all the models into this series but hopefully at least some of the information is helpful!
Hi, no I do not. I sell all my machines on my website. When customers work with me they usually ship me their machines and then when the work is finished I ship them back to them.
Hi! I’m here again and I am extremely frustrated. I am watching the tutorial that you show how to fill the bobbin and tread the sewing machine Singer Featherweight 221. I can’t get it to work.
@@SewingMachineRehab thank you very much for the attention! I took the machine to a repair shop to be fixed. The problem was; the Feed dog was hitting the needle plate, the bobbin would not spin and consequently, the hand wheel got locked. Th
Ops! I think I sent the message without had finished. Anyway, I will continue to watch your tutorials, they are very helpful and you are very clear and patient on your explanations. 👍🏽♥️🌸♥️I hope I can get my machine fixed.

My 99 from 1929 has the larger tension disks. Also thank you SO much for the tip on how to get the tension screw out, it worked like a charm ❤
I am so happy it helped! Thank you for watching!
