The mad lad is back everyone, AND HE DID IT IN MICROSOFT WORD WAT!? But can you do it in google slides that is the question.... Edit: if you can’t tell I am VERY hyped up for this.
@@rgc-exists It in fact is. I started an open world game in google slides. I don't think I'm ever going to finish it. It has like 1000 slides, and even with a custom script making the slides and animations and stuff, it took so long even for what I have so far lol

Hey icoso, remember me, CONGRATULATIONS ON 5K SUBS 🥳🎉💥, i was 100% sure you ARE going to succeed man, killer job you are just perfect, keep up the beautiful work man.
I made a typeracer like game tonight in word using vba. It was quite a pain. But after watching your video, im feeling inspired to keep improving it. Great work.
While on the bus years ago going to high school I would program random things I came up with on my to-84 calculator. Such as a prime number generator, a Fibonacci sequence generator, pong, tic tac toe, snake, fortune tellers, a little ww3 game, twin prime generators, a program to compute if a number was prime, a program to compute if a number was twin prime, and a few others. I regret never finishing getting my ai to fully work on tic tac toe. It almost worked perfectly except for a single bug if I remember; whenever the human player was guaranteed to win on their next move regardless of the ai move the ai would cheat and win the game. Other than that i think it worked fine.
Have fun with Word Automation API on MSDN. There's a Visual Basic API. Change borderless table background colors to render a 48x64 'block area'. Raycasting is possible. The fastest I've been able to make a black and white ray caster run is about 15 fps with a .vbs scriptlet by doing the same thing using a table as a game screen with a VBS tied to an ActiveX start button and an invisible textbox to take in keyboard input to stop page scrolling. Visual Basic sucks and is super slow but it can be done in Word by cheating with ActiveX controls just a little bit.
@@icoso If you ever wish to continue playing with this concept (don't say how/why you would....definitely look at the available set of Visual Basic compatible ActiveX controls in rundll32.dll, shell32.dll, and user32.dll. As an example, making system api calls with rundll32.dll by using Shell("rundll32.exe [args]") can get you sound effects and music: Shell("C:\WINDOWS undll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\amovie.ocx,RunDll /play /close C:\USERS\NIGHT\MUSIC\HELLO_WORLD.WAV") rundll32 can call ocx ActiveX objects directly, to do things like play sound effects in this circumstance. Windows Defender starts complaining at this point, but a whitelist entry is a neither here nor there when developing for Office applications running Visual Basic Script Host instances. Visual Basic's Time$ function is well off enough to play music by splitting it up into small wave files too and doing run32dll calls, as another example. Or directly calling up opengl or directx, to set an SVGA mode, and blit to the screen (very slow!) This ployglot stuff comes from my own personal knowledge of breaking out of QBASIC and PASCAL in the 98SE days to do stuff the languages weren't capable of back in Windows 98, i.e.: using an ancient language to control/automate the system (before AutoHotkey was a thing, we ran BASIC/PASCAL polyglots that did rundll32 calls). Surprisingly enough it works all the way through Windows 10, and has never really been broken in Visual Basic Script Host. Although, Windows Defender heuristics will detect it, and complain, its easy to whitelist Injected word/excel documents are fun to create, and you most certainly can create games with them, especially if you know your way around breaking out into DLL calls with cmd.exe Shell calls, pretty much the entire Windows API at your disposal. It is unfortunate that this ability to call the Windows API from an office application is used maliciously, hence the Defender complaints. But if you're just writing a game, the knowledge and background on polyglotting Visual Basic Script Host to Shell out is super useful.
