Pictures/video are so helpful. We had a commercial job where the drywall guys covered up a valve to a mechanical trap primer for a rest room floor drain. I took over the job at the set out stage so I had no clue until it started to smell. My coworker sent me pics and I was able to pin point it enough to cut out for an access panel with perfect accuracy.

Come on now drywall installers don't do that I like when they snap the drains off. Don't tell nobody and stick the PVC inside the wall and cover it up.

@@markthompson7127 yep, we had one who decided to use a lab drain stub out as a step. It snapped right at the middle of the tee. Oh well, the builder, and hopefully in turn the drywaller, paid time and material to cut the wall open and repair it. I’ve also had issues with HVAC guys. They’ll be running rigid duct and just cut pipe out of their way. I can handle that but lots of times they never say anything.

How do you get away with waterlines in exterior walls? Doesnt it freeze where your'e at?

    • @ChuckBarron

no choice on what you saw....2x6 walls and must keep tight tight to interior.

I am really against outside walls. Trouble on a perfect freeze if you're not using that fixture.
