To summarise, they all voted for Gabee because she had better musicality and expression overall. She also had a stronger presence during the re-battle where she dominated the stage while Emma was noticeably following along her movements, which is something they mentioned as a huge mistake during battling. Emma has a lot of powerful moves, but she didn’t connect them well enough so they looked disjointed. Gabee was much better at showcasing her unique style cohesively due to her experience. They want us to note that judging is a very subjective process, so we shouldn’t think a dancer is lacks ability based on one battle alone. As for the 2v2 battle, they awarded LC the win because of their group chemistry. They found it unfortunate that WANT over-danced and was unable to control their power in the heat of the moment too.
He said Lip J should’ve won because she was better at expressing music even though Rozalin did amazing as well. He also hoped the public won’t get the wrong impression of waacking as a genre that only involves fast arm movements rather than musicality. I can’t translate everything he said but he went on a close to 20 minute long rant about why Lip J should have won and the video had close to 2 million views the last time I saw it lol.
Check out this lipj judge showcase video! I think it can help u see how a waacking battle/routine is supposed to look/feel like. While rozalin was doing the waacking moves, it wasnt to the beat or the instrumentals in the music. (Musicality). @@ohnimevol-9480 I’m floored by how well she expresses every detail of music with her body T_T she hits every note with such precision that I was so offended to hear kpop stans insist Lip J “lost concentration” during her battle with Rozalin lol. Ofc Rozalin’s good, but she was sloppy beside Lip J and relied too much on flashy moves

Yeahh... i guess it stems from lack of exposure to waacking as a genre. Ppl generally dont knw what and how waacking works so its easy for them to misunderstand. Even for the judges lol Lipj's skills are just unexplainable. Its also the way she mixes other genres with waacking and creates a whole new experience for us to watch.
It’s literally JBLACK, Crazy Kyo, Chen and Mary - some of the most well respected dancers in Korea. They have won tournaments and been judges for multiple dance competitions. Peanut overwhelmed Rozalin and is clearly the better dancer. Their judgement was spot on and they’re more than qualified especially compared to the idol dance judges. Go educate yourself.
