How quickly the years have passed and new technologies have popped up. I sometimes wonder what the next four years will bring and what new review videos you guys will make, perhaps the propless quadcopter next? Time will tell. :-)
great video guys, just took delivery of my Naza today. Was wondering about the thin 3m pads as well, I still have some of the thicker stuff from my Gaui 330 and was going to use that, but just read in the comments here that the 3m ones should be just fine, so I'll go with them..
Nice! i have a plan to build my first Quad with the naza. I read that naza barometer(alt hold) dont go well with an air tight container as a Dome. but yours hold the altitude great, did you guys make some hole for the barometer to work?
Nice video guys. One question - did you try attaching the Naza to your frame using other methods than the supplied 3M VHB tape? I'm used to using a bit of firm cushioning on my FC quad attachments and wondering if they'd make the Naza perform better or worse. If their vibration filtering is really good I could understand them wanting as direct a connection to the frame as possible. That seems like a big if though. Just wondering if you had any insights.
Nice video! I noticed towards the end when you were playing around with the craft your dx8 came into view of the camera, and noticed it was in airplane mode instead of heli? Is this normal for heacopters? cheers and keep it up.
hi guys just wanted to say, you guys are doing a great job w/ these videos.. it's really enlightening.. im an AR DRONE 1.0 and 2.0 flyer, but i think i wana step it up a notch for my drone hobby.. hope you guys continue making videos.. specially for noobs like me who are at a lost hehehe
Nice video guys!! I need to order some massive batteries for my Octo - I saw you guys have some sponsors - any suggestions for 8000mah bats? GrahamRiverRC
Hello friends, your videos are always fun and informative, congratulations, I would like an opinion from friends, you guys prefer to control DX8 or futaba spectrum, which one has better scope for fpv without adding signal amplifiers? Big hug from your fan here in Brazil.
IM AM GETTING A DJI F450 WITH NAZA TOMORROW WITHOUT GPS AND I AM GONNA USE MY STOCK TURNIGY 9X TRANSMITTER,IS THE ASSEMBELY THAT EASY? AND SETTING UP THE NAZA FC THAT STRAIGHT FORWARD? LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!
can i use some other motors for this one ?, i know that naza's stock motor are good but they are expensive , there should be many other stable , balanced motors around, please help also please recommend esc , do they require any special type or any branded esc should work , good if you can tell something from hobbyking , as this is the nearest place i buy .
very very very nice work ,,, im planning to buy a Hexacopter ,,, and making some reasearches your movie helped me allot , is their a web site to buy one fully assembled with GPS autopilot (all the options ? ) thanking you., and again very nice work. Regards.,
Hey guys. Ive been having trouble getting my altitude hold to work. I hear all u have to do is have the stick center and it should kick right on. Mine doesnt. its driving me crazy. Another thing. I have my gear switch hooked to the m mode and attitude mode. it flys great in manual mode. But when i hit the switch to go in attitude mode,. The quad lands by itself and the orange blinks fast, What am i doing wrong. Please help. Thank you
OK, you two characters! :) I love your stuff; so I bought a Flame Wheel Hex and a Naza as a begining to my adventure. Now I'd like you guys to find a good, and reasonably priced, gimbel mount for a GoPro and teach us. Can do? :) :) :)
great video guys you have mad me very happy I seen the video of the dji teem and I bought it, ? After I thort have I don the right thing? , Now IV seen your video my mind is at rest and now im just can not waiting to receive my DJI NAZA big thanks from RON
Dude...you don't need Big vibration pads, that's old school stuff, also the wires will connect to your rx not tx (RX is receive, incoming. TX is transmitting, outgoing) Nice video, thanks. : )
I could not respond to a comment that was from 2 years ago but I am glad you are not using "Drone" as much. It really bothers me when someone uses it. The media gets a hold of that and makes viewers think these things have telescopic lenses that can view from miles away. Sure you could build one like that if you have enough money but you don't anything close to that under a few grand.
youre right about devices like this retarding piloting skill for learners. I fly single rotor 3D capable choppers and have since 1987 so i learned the hard way. yet when experiencing my FBL controller last month, the IkoN (similar in function but for single rotor), I felt spoiled, and could feel myself getting lazy...lol It augments any kind of wild flight pretty nicely, and switching back to manual, felt like I lost a year experience. Noobs using it to learn wont fly well without it, hehe
Now who sells these the cheapest? Some of Alishanmao's products from China are ridiculously expensive. Having sold Chinese game accessories before, I know some stores can mark them up to 100 or even 1,000 percent compared to there actual cost.
I have to say I absolutely hated my Naza fc. I got a Quantum Venture that came with the Naza-lite which is the original Naza which you are using. It would go bonkers after 3 minute flights each time. I thought there was a motor issue so changed them all out. Anything other than manual it would go crazy. No matter how many times I configure the compasss/gps. After about 10 flights the yaw issue that it was having after 3 minutes before just kept happening. Remember at first if flew just like you show. Anyhow I figured it had to be with the Naza not configured for H copters and put in an APM 2.6 which has been flawless ever since. I built a hexcopter hoping to save money putting the naza in. Same issue. I have tried to contact DJI with no success. I threw in another apm with no issue. I have seen almost nothing but good things about these but every single bad review of them has been when they were installed in the Venture with the same issues that I had. I just wonder is happening when Quantum-Hobby King installs these in the venture?
+FlyingFuYing considering the DJI as the best selling and industry leading company, having millions of nasa units sold. It is most likely you did not setup the naza lite properly.
Andrew Geng It was factory installed set up by Hobby King. When things started going wrong I started with the motors, then the ecs then I tried a total tare down and rebuild. The ones put on the Ventures have a none issue. When I installed the apm 2.6 not one issue. I have even had others try the naza lite that came with the venture that only have dji systems. And they could not get it to work. I don't know why the ones that are sent with the Venture are different from other ones but if you google the Venture deluxe package with naza lite you will come upon a ton of forums and videos of them having issues.
I have had 80 flights so far, no incidents at all. You must install the latest firmware. I know now that there has been faulty firmware causing flight controllers to fly away and flip.
Andrew Geng I have not tried it on a new build for a few months. I did constantly keep it looking for updates from DJI up until June for the Venture. I then tried it again in August for Hex build. Same month I had someone that is use to DJI products try it and had the same issues as me of fine in manual mode but bat crazy in any other. One this for sure I will never have someone build me one again, as it was built by HobbyKing. After checking all of the rates and checked all solder points and wires. The wires to the engines were totally messed up. They had frayed the wires while installing it on 2 motors. So I originally thought it was the motors. I did here there was a Russian spoof fw that would correct its issues at the time, but I never trusted the sites the fw were on. I will probably make it into an fpv manual flyers only some time down the line. I have way to many multirotors as it is to make a new one now.
sorry to hear your bad experiences, These multi-rotors are not hard to build, just a bit time consuming, I always suggest people to build it themselves, for they will always be sure. If they don't want they are doing however, they should keep studying.
Cool thanks, I know alishanmao is in china and his prices seem ridiculously high. I remember when I bought game accesories for 5 bucks and US stores were selling them for 40 to 80 bucks a piece. Will check out that site, thanks for the info.
Yeah unfortunately the crash was closer to Corona TX, but hey whats reality when you can make up a better story. Balsa wood, some toy factory stickers and walla "aliens landed".
what,s the point in that you might just as well fly a kite, or better still learn how to fly a tricopter with a £13 KK board on board, and spend the extra cash on a few cold one's
Use of the word Drone is frowned upon as people who know nothing about FPV and RC are complaining that they can be spied on etc....really should be careful how you use that word especially if you enjoy FPV as much as I do.
How quickly the years have passed and new technologies have popped up. I sometimes wonder what the next four years will bring and what new review videos you guys will make, perhaps the propless quadcopter next? Time will tell. :-)
Off into the sunset they walk, you guys are awesome.

In case anyone is debating....Naza is the way to go!

funny and sympathetic thk
you guys should get a gimbal :)
Safety glasses would be advisable and wise for non-"pros" depth of field is sort of crucial flying rc. LOL! soon naza will be $129. yahoo!
