- Our first episode of "Battle of the Brands" features a couple smaller names in the slowpitch space that have some pretty specific/niche offerings - including their "balanced short-barrels" (Austyn Dawe Ruckus Max Balanced 12" & Anarchy B12) and their 1-piece bats.

The sticky barrel on the Suncoast, does something for very particular swings. If you swing flat, or slightly down, the Suncoast just smashes the ball with the sticky barrel adding backspin. I'm not someone who is good at "cutting" the ball... but the Suncoast Ruckus USSSA and my Suncoast Backlash makes me look like a Conference player, with how flat I can cut the ball to the fence. The sticky barrel just seems to "grab" the ball more, and put a ton of spin on the ball. Flat swings hit missile line drives with the Suncoast sticky barrels. Great bats, definitely fun to hit with

I’ve tried all bats and brands and I have to say they’re all good to me. Subtle differences of course but overall todays bats are nuts.

Swung my buddies balanced Suncoast and hated it. Bought the grey 13” endload suncoast and absolutely love it.
Great video! Both Anarchy and Suncoast are making great bats right now. Comes down to which one fits your swing best.
Will sporting the smedium shirts to really looked jacked!!!!!!.....looks good...I have the Dawe bat and it does crush....when hitting it side by side with the Suncoast ruckus 12, the Ruckus feels so heavy, and it doesn't seem to have the pop of the Dawe....this is probably one of the closest reviews going...exit velos will be interesting
Were you having any overspin issues with the suncoast? With mine the balls that I REALLY cut just fall out of the air like a golf ball with too much spin

For some a balance swing is a end loaded bad. I do like balanced bats to sweep the barro thought and, just speed up the bat head to create spine rate on the ball.

The non-slip finish is a gimmick when it comes to the idea that it creates backspin on a regular solid hit. Maybe for cutting it helps and it definitely puts side spin/top spin on line drives but unless you are a weirdo like me and clean your bats after every use, it won't last because dirt and ball marks will cover the finish. A soft finish and a bunch of field clay on the barrel will do the same thing and can be reapplied every time someone tosses it
Btw, me personally, i have a strong bias towards compression resilience because you can always use the bat more, but once it fails, beer league it is so more bang for your buck. And it WILL get down to the compression rate eventually and when it comes to wall thickness/ fiber volume at a certain compression, the durability will hold it true longer. That's why the genesis does so well. They've adopted an s- curve break in rate that honestly doesn't even need to be rolled for max durability when breaking it in

I agree with you on the stick n grip finish. i think it might work for guys who play on turf but on my dirt infields as soon as it hit the dirt the bat is covered dust and small rocks
The hard part about the dawe compared to the rest is that it has a flex handle so compared to the other 3 they are stiff. Probably why it took abit to find the sweet spot.
We need to see the new monsta USSSA trippin torch review, see if they just as good as the ASA Monstas are!!!

Try the jolly 88 monsta bat. It hits .52 core softballs better than any other bat I’ve tried. They don’t last long with .44 cores but with .52s it’s amazing

Have yall made a video that I can watch explaining how different each barrel size with the different end loads swing. For example: 3, 26 oz bats but one havs a 14 ounce barrel with .5 ounce, one with a short barrel but balance or even a full ounce endload one with a short barrel and one with a long barrel and like recommendations on the type of bat to get based on a certain swing and things like that

Can you please post the temperature including the humidex and the full type of balls being used at all times? I am hoping for core and compression please. I play in very high humid temperatures that will hit + 40 Celsius during the summer. So that would be 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
I have the Anarchy B-Twelve 12in Balanced. Failed compression after my second tournament this year after probably 150 swings. I’ve always used Anarchy, playing in Chicago I need something durable that’s going to last. Usually Anarchy is super durable, but it was incredibly disappointing how quickly it failed compression.

If you had to pick between the 2020 KP 23, Suncoast one piece or Louisville slugger genesis which would you pick? Looking to add one to my bag. I've never swung the Genesis or Suncoast tho only swung Mikens last few years
I'm major Genesis fan after these new 240s this year. Crazy pop and don't use them in 55deg or under.

What is the best asa bat (in your opinion) that can hit a .44 375 ball and is a .5 end load?

for ASA or USSSA? Their ASA and USSSA-220 bats need a ton of break-in, but their USSSA-240 come ready to go
