Thanks so much for sharing this recipe and showing us how simple it is to put together!! Definitely gonna try this! Another thing I appreciate about you, Amy, is that one minute you're all gorgeous and made up for the office, but when you get home, you're the clean-faced girl next door. Love that you're so REAL!!!
You mentioned the cast iron pan... when my great-grandmother immigrated from Mexico in 1910, she brought along her iron fry pan. I inherited it, and made breakfast potatoes in it this morning. Another fun video. :)
There is only 2 in our family now, so I will use meal prep containers for our own Turkey/Ham dinners for the freezer. Great that it's homemade and not store bought tv dinners! Try to use 3-6 months. If you place the containers covered and vaccum pack with foodsaver, it will extend the freezer time. The casserole looks great! I make a Dorito's Skillet and its so tasty! Love the cooking videos 😄 Kathy from California! ❤️
I'm definitely making this tonight! I love the raspberry tea also! I notably don't like flavored tea, but picked it up by accident and absolutely love It! I can't wait to make this tonight! I loved this video and would love to see more cooking too!
I made the veg type. I used veggie burgers crumbled up and beef bouillon cubes with the onions, added green peppers too. All other ingredients the same
Looks so good! Um, so hungry! Made the broccoli soup, sooo good, added a chopped potato and ham to it, delicious! I think I might make this burrito casserole tonight if I have some cream of mushroom soup on hand. Sounds wonderful with the rainy weather we are having! Take care Amy, love cooking shows, you are great!! PS you are so cute, love your pink hat! Love ya!💖
I have an Enchilada Casserole recipe that is similar but uses tortilla chips, enchilada sauce, evaporated milk & cream of chicken soup. No beans or sour cream. It's really good too! I'll have to try yours now. tfs
That looks great 👍 It’s right up my alley!! Love Mexican food! I bet if you add some corn in the meat mixture it would be great! Love you sharing recipes❣️hugs 🤗😘
You could also use leftover turkey. Nice way to get rid of it. Or layer in some green chilies if anybody likes them. I'd be likely to make a little extra rice for my turkey stuffing and use the leftover in the casserole. The ideas are endless. It's 1:30 in the morning and I want to go start cooking😄 What do y'all do for Christmas. We are so sick of turkey, and ham.we usually gust end up doing burgers, steaks or barbecue.😜 Well blessings to all of you and have happy holidays❣🙏
Made this tonight. Hubby didn't like it. He said tasted like Taco Bell. I would make changes as follows: 1.Use 2 lbs. Ground Beef or chicken breast chopped up. 2. Use yellow corn tortillas, fry little and then cut into strips.3. Use enchilada sauce or Tomato soup with taco seasoning added. I also used sliced olives on meat mixture and 8 oz. Home canned salsa on each layer of meat and then topped with cheese. I would then call it Encharito Bake or Echarito Casserole. I usually make it with rolled tortillas, use the yellow, they have more flavor. This would not be a real Mexican food dish. I think its loose adaptation, Tex-mex ❤ Kathy from California!
@@awaygirl I was not saying your dish was bad at all. In California we have a lot of Mexican Food here and we do not use mushroom soup in Mexican food. It's usually tomato based foods. I thought your casserole was good. Could not eat a lot due to lactose intolerance. Even with taking my pills I continue to have issues. I can't. have sour cream or milk and some cheeses. It just messes me up. Not fun. Hope you have a great weekend. I love watching your videos, take care. Kathy from California!
We usually do Mexican after holiday foods too. Looks so good. I didn't have Thanksgiving leftovers because they got left at my moms. We are doing a turkey this week and will be doing some sweet potatoes. I've had that tea. I've been on a tea kick lately too. I like your kitchen rug. Noticed it because it matches my shower curtain. Funny when you said 401. I was waiting for you to say 409. Hugs
That looks delicious! I will have to give this recipe a try. You know what? I bet you could leave the tortilla's out of it and just make like a dip for your chips....yummo
that looks amazing! Dary wouldn't like it, so I can't make it. :( Also, where did you get your cute jeans? Walmart? Are they Jeggings?? Brand?? I must have :) x0x0x0
If you put some cheese or Velveeta in that skillet, don't wash it first, and then add a can of Rotel original, stir and heat...you will have some queso.
I buy McCormick taco seasoning too. McCormick spices are always fresh and wonderful. I don't think you get all those fillers like you do with some spice companies. Dang! You all eating in front of me is making me hungry.
Hey sweetie I tried your recipe and it was amazing...I did use two lbs of ground chuck, 2 cans of refried beans..actually doubled everything...I heated the refried beans in the microwave then added them to the beef...I used extra sharp cheddar and pepper jack...took crushed spicy Doritos and put them on the top then added jalapeños them one more, ore layer of shredded cheese....served with sour cream and chopped green onions...YUM YUM it was Devine...PJ loved it...thanks sweetie😋👍🏻💟
I can’t even watch this. No one cares about your candles and plants. Make the gosh darn recipe. I never got past the browning of the hamburger. Btw sautéing your onions before adding the meat is way better because they caramelize instead of just cooking adding more flavor. As for the rest of this train wreck I couldn’t even watch because she’s so random and possibly drunk. Horrible.
Omg I just made it and it turned out so scrumptious!! Thanks for sharing. 😋😌👍

Wow! Your table! I grew up with an identical table. It was yell, though. Yours is prettier. I was born in 1950.
PS: the casserole looks great and love your personality!
Thank you Nancy!!
I love that table too. We inherited it from my husbands great aunt that passed away a few years ago.
Starving
