Scariest part of getting a liver shot in UFC is the ref doesn't stop and count like in boxing. You're writhing in pain while trying to brace yourself for a ground-pound which will be equally painful and devastating.

I had the displeasure to experience a kick to the liver from a champion in my gym and it's the most soul crushing experience I've had, I took like 2 of those to the head before and was RELATIVELY ok but after this I was in severe pain for like 20 minutes.
Chad Mendez is one of the most under rated fighters of all time imo. Beast of a wrestler and has dynamite in his hands while also being a very solid if not great technical boxer.

David Loiseau's kicks were nice, but before Jon Jones, his ground-and-pound elbows were the best in the business. It seems like great elbows from the top position are executed with more effectiveness when the posture is correct: got to create distance and arch the shoulders back or the damage is minimal.

It seems like great elbows from the top position are executed with more effectiveness when the posture is correct: got to create distance and arch the shoulders back or the damage is minimal.
