I'd like to share a tip: When your condo has a bedroom window near a busy, high-speed road, it's important to be aware that motorcycles, among other things, can generate significant noise, particularly at night.
Great tips, thank you! One quick tip that I heard from somewhere that nobody seems to think about is try to get a room that's at least 7 stories high. Not only does the traffic get quicker, but also bugs can't fly higher than that.
great video, thank you very much for compiling those tips - some of which I totally understand and agree with, like noise travelling / bottle bins etc. I would add not being right next to the elevators as well, especially if these open with the typical "ping" sounds. You'll be hearing that sound all day and all night. It's those little details you only really know once you've had to live with them. Sound insulation is also really important - you can have great -looking apartments apartments with lovely facilities but their walls are paper thin.

@@ProjectBangkok true not as a whole but I lived in a small Thai village for years and I was able to see the health effects as they age. I'm 60 so I have to be very careful.
Not enough street food.. I hated every evening wondering where to get good value food from.. in chidlom and rama 9 you just walk outside and its always there. Also I didnt want the party to be on my doorstep 24/7.. I want to go to the party.. not be the party haha

You think that’s full? Oh.. haha you have never experienced “full of Airbnb” then haha 30min wait just to get in the lift is what I consider full of Airbnb. I don’t think Ashton is busy
If you get a bike taxi regularly, you will have an accident. It happens to everyone. The costs also creep up. If you were using them for Bt100 a day, 6 days a week, 25 days a month, then there is Bt2500 a month. But realistically, how many times do you need to be going out each month ? The truth is that if you have poor, small accommodation, you will be forced to go out more frequently whereas if you have larger more airy accommodation, you will be happier to stay at home. The offsetting costs can be quite significant in that more expensive but better accommodation can actually work out cheaper overall. Don't fret a lack of a fridge freezer or washing machine. You can buy these and give away, sell on or leave behind. They are not deal breakers. What is your condo electric charge ? Government rate is about Bt4.5 per kWh but commercial places have to charge you about Bt8 per kWh which doubles your electric costs. Onsite pools and gyms look great but no-one ever uses them. However, if you can use them for fitness and relaxation, you save bucket loads of time and money which offsets the rent costs. As Rob said, check the heat of the water and if it is covered or in between buildings, the water will be freezing. I used to live in the JW Marriott on Soi 2 but that was a long time ago and well before room rates hit £200 a night ! These days, I think I'd want a modern condo, which means smaller rooms and a smaller footprint, whereas some older units have much more land. Pools need to be in the sun or uncovered rooftop and few do those in Bangkok. Also, if you're outside looking for somewhere after you arrive, then get a month somewhere first, either a moderate hotel or a serviced apartment. You cannot be fighting 2 battles, trying to find long term accommodation when you're also trying to find a cheaper hotel.
Yo man. I watched you video som etime ago, and now i'm looking for a condo and only yours is worth something. Rest is just an add. So I subscribed and wrote this come. elo kurwa mordo
How much $$ do you need in your account if you wanted to stay on a Edu. Visa of 6 months? Do they check your bank account or if you have income stream of 2k a month coming into your bank will that suffice? And the Ashton Asoke seems to get a bit pricey at 660USD/mo + Aircon = nearly 800.00 per month... Thanks..

There is a lot of street food but keep in mind that it's not always the healthiest option. Some people are concerned about their health long term.
This is is true.. most stuff is fried.. hasnt killed the Thais off though 🤷🏼♂️
@@ProjectBangkok true not as a whole but I lived in a small Thai village for years and I was able to see the health effects as they age. I'm 60 so I have to be very careful.
Why did you move out from Ashton Asok?
Not enough street food.. I hated every evening wondering where to get good value food from.. in chidlom and rama 9 you just walk outside and its always there.
Also I didnt want the party to be on my doorstep 24/7.. I want to go to the party.. not be the party haha
This was helpful thanks
Glad it helped
What’s the best way to advance book a condo that you are promoting?
My time in Los Angeles is 11.21am now.
You can’t book them my friend. There not hotels.. there homes. It’s the same as me asking how to book your home? Haha unless you live on a hotel that is 😂
Ashton asoke is full of airbnbs but I've never felt like that was an issue.
You think that’s full? Oh.. haha you have never experienced “full of Airbnb” then haha 30min wait just to get in the lift is what I consider full of Airbnb. I don’t think Ashton is busy
Great, practical tips

What are the electrical rates?
Nice Condo 😮😊
Thank you

I’m having trouble finding a condo to rent for 3 months because of visa can anyone help me 🙏 starting from November 1
Thanks..
You have no idea lol 😂
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊
you say theres an area called the soak? i think youre talking jargon. and so a lot of ppl wont understand the areas youre talking about!
Thanks Karen
@@ProjectBangkok after a few more hours researching, i found out that its spelt Asoke. My comment was suggesting that youre more clear, if you're gonna be talking and explain areas to people who obviously haven't been yet! Considering thats what the video was made for in the first place. Just a suggestion! And dont become one of those ppl who misuse trending words just because u think it gives you the upper hand, because it doesn't. Comment sections are for comments. If you dont like them, i suggest u turn them off.
Ur good but not yet familair with thailand even the sawadee kapis wrong its wadee khap
Everyone’s an expert to be honest Dino.. I don’t pretend to be an expert. And I’ll honestly continue to pronounce things the way I do. It’s just the way i talk buddy
