Thank you for the information. My question: Can you bring someone with you who isn't a spouse or member of TH? Ex. I am considering housesits in TX. I have an adult niece who lives in the state and who I'd want to see while there. She works remotely so her time is flexible. Would it be acceptable for her to stay for a few days if it is agreeable to the homeowners? Is it even okay to consider such a thing or ask?
You are welcome! In our experience most of the homeowners are really nice and it’s all things of agreement! I’m sure if you find the right fit they would say yes, again it still depends on the homeowner, approach it nicely, maybe even offer to set up a video chat with you and niece so they get to know her.. Personally we wouldn’t say it in the first message, about the niece but perhaps if you hit it off and you see it’s the right fight and they are chill and nice about it, then bring it up. Hope this helps 😊
Hi there, is there a maximum length of stay. I'm planning on going to Malaysia for around 90 days between Jan-Apr 2024 and wonder if any sitters would be willing to stay for such a long time. (I live in a popular tourist town in Scotland) Thanks!
Yes, be persistent! We didn't had any reviews and after applying for 6-10 days, around 10 applications, we got accepted! You just can't give up, one will come up that works well for both you and the host!
Yes, animals are expected a certain level of care and time and each host has a list of responsibilities that they require of the sitter. Very few animals require 24 hour attention and if all a dog needs is 2-3 walks per day plus a couple feedings, that leaves a lot of time to go exploring in between. On some excursions you can bring the dog along. Done this a couple times and you do have to look for the “Responsibility” section on the hosts listing, as some do have medications that need to be taken or even seen where the owner wants you to walk their five greyhounds, six times a day. Wouldn’t work for me but some dog lovers would absolutely love it, especially if it’s the right location and setting. Sitting for cats is even easier, as they don’t give a darn if you are there or not. 😂 Knew someone that sat for a host with two boa constrictors and they had a lot of time on their hands.
Nothing like that, just giving our honest opinion. If you use our link or code, we might get small commision, that's all, it's on you if you want it or dont want it. On our Instagram you can find the time when we lived in Italy with them, have 0 regrets, it was the most amazing time of our lives.
I just found out about this!! And I just started watching the video, so I’m probably jumping ahead, but I want to ask: 2 people can become sitters for the same house? I wouldn’t want to travel alone 😅

Kroz Dan, dva ide video, Dan u zivotu kao housesitter kroz Trusted Housesitter, pa ako vas zanima mozete pogledati kako to sve izgleda 😊
If I want to house sit with my significant other do we need a membership each?
No just one profile, and make it a joint, some homeowners even prefer couples, married people...
Sta ako se u periodu cuvanja nesto desi zivotinji? Cak ako ugine? Postoji li klauzula o tome?

Hey! Is there any tip to get accepted as a first timer? How to get accepted if you don’t have any review from other pet owners yet? 😬

Türkiye den gitmek zor olur 😢
hahaha, you two. very cute.
😊 thank you
I thought the idea of this was that the animal is looked after all day and not for the house sitter to go off on an all day adventure
