- Hi my friends! We're swatching the full collection of the brand new Huda Beauty Lip Blushes that launched May 9 2023. These lip blush stains are supposed to be long wearing, transfer-proof, hydrating and comfortable wearing lip stains.
They claim to wear for 8 hours so I did a wear test for these huda lip stains to see how they did through the day!
I also share my first impression and thoughts on these new huda beauty lip formulas and how they compare to lip stains on the market now. I wanted to give you a look at these lip blushes on medium skin so I hope you find it helpful!
Overall, they wore on my lips for the rest of the night until I removed my makeup. And I felt like my lips were still stained even after I did my skincare routine LOL. I was able to wear a lip oil on top without it disturbing the color also.

MY SHADES:
Typically I'm in the medium shade range with neutral undertones. These are the shades I've used in the past, but they may vary since I do get very tan in the summer and lose a lot of color in the colder months. It just depends on when I've tried them!

This is reminding me of lip/cheek products that have been available from Asian beauty brands for awhile now
I think since maybe 2020, there seems to have been this boom of Asian beauty where Korean skinscare and makeup is now more popular and better known here, so western brands are kind of taking concepts from them. The only thing that was a total flop in the west was cushion foundations, almost all of those released by western brands got discontinued and we never saw a cushion foundation again. I think Dior is the only one now that sells cushions, but NARS and the rest seem to have gone

I just ordered the apricot and rosy kiss. I’m planning on wearing them everyday but they are great for festivals bc a stain is so long lasting and non-sticky
YES perfect for when you don’t want to reapply!
I have tried this formula and I like it as I find it longer lasting than other lipstains. I think stippling or buffing brush works best to use these as blushes too. Berry shade is amazing on tan skintones! Rosy kuss aas too pink and coral was too coral for me lol. Now I am torn between apricot and peachy. How are they differrent and which one do you like more?
Apricot was brighter to me and peachy was more toned down! I think I’d wear peachy more often since it seems like an everyday shade for me

how would you compare it as to the rare beauty one? which one do you prefer the most?
Good question! Rare Beauty starts super glossy and later leaves a stain so that's really different. I like how these are immediate stains. I'd say these are slightly more sheer than the stain left behind by RB with one swipe. I like that they're buildable though so you can decide how much pigment you want. RB seems to be full pigment with the first swipe.
Feel like as a blush it might be tough to work with.. wondering if you’ve used it as an eyeshadow? I like to match my lips to my one shade eyeshadow sometimes!
I haven’t tried that yet and I’m a bit hesitant because the staining power is so strong! I’m unsure how long it would stain the eyes lol
Can someone tell me if these are water proof or does it work just by leaving a stain on your lip?
These look nice but are too sheer for me, I prefer more pigment. NARS seem to be releasing a new liquid blush with a lilac shade like that rose kiss. I would only use these stains for cheeks not lips as I prefer bold lip colours, so I think I will wait to see the NARS ones first, as I really want a lilacy blush
Ooh a lilac liquid blush from NARS!? I might have to check that out. I love a good sheer lip for everyday though but def not ideal if you're into bold lips
