I cannot say how much time, effort, costly mistakes and scratched knuckles it took me to learn all of this on my own. I hope young people realize how lucky they are to have easy and free access to such valuable information. Thanks for these high quality videos.
@@lsixty30 I do am grateful we have such a great resource. But I like to learn by using my tools much more than a video or textbook. The webs made everyone, especially riders, divided. (In my opinion) and it’s a very lonely generation
I'll never understand who watches such a detailed and simple video explaining how something works so thoroughly and yet dislikes it... Makes me believe they weren't even interested in finding out in the first place... Amazing video!!!!
Or there is the possibility that this video doesn't actually explain jacksh_t about the engine or the transmission?? It overly focuses on the ignition part and leaves out some more important aspects. As a person who actually knows how an engine works this video was painful to watch.
My friend is into motorbikes and I want to understand them so he can talk to me about them because I know they make him happy but this is all very confusing
Probably the best model of a motorcycle engine I've ever seen, with a great no-fluff explanation. Smart move keeping it short and only including the ignition eletronics, and saving the clutch, transmission, timing, etc for other videos.
This video despite being short managed to explain how the motorcycle engine works. My lazy professor on the other hand needed two hours for the whole class understand because he always seems so disinterested during lectures.
These videos are sooo good!!! clean, clear, detailed all while keeping it easy to understand. You cant find anything like this on you tube, it would be great if you could make more of these, there are so many subjects you could cover!! People really want to learn this stuff. I hope you continue this!! Thank you
Thank you very much! She/You just opened my eyes to the functions of the stator. I have a 1978 Honda CB125S with a very puzzling electrical problem. Now I have seen that the different windings feed different parts. Not that I'll be able to fix my bike but at least now I know a little bit more about what's going on.
3:43 This animation has an error, the extrusion passing through the pickup coil when the piston is in the down position. actually it need to be pass through when the piston reaches to the firing position. Except that it's amazing, great work, great video ❤️❤️🤝👍😊
Really helpful video to help visualize the working parts of the engine! So what about 4 cylinder engines for example, is it just the one extrusion on the flywheel for one or more pickup coils? the extrusion acts as a crankshaft position sensor? how is each cylinder timed perfectly, at higher RPM how does the ecu with cdi change timing to detonate sooner or at precisely correct timing. Thanks!

Can you make a similar video for classic bikes that have points and condenser.

It’s amazing to see human engineering like this. You never really think about how much goes into an engine until you break it down.
Mitchell yes and it's also incredible how long they can run without any problems!
