I am so glad you accidentally cut into the paper! It turned out so great! It added so much depth! And this video was amazing! Very well done all around.
this heron blows my mind, it rocks sooo much. i love it overlaid on that blue background. you made a great choice there. personally, i most love making abstract work with few materials as quickly as i can, because when i don't think too hard, all of my feelings come out clearly onto whatever i'm making, and my art is all about raw expression of inner feelings. so i agree, i don't think harder techniques or more time always make art better. but i love seeing all the ways art can be made, including time-consuming and difficult ways!
Thank you!! And thats awesome thanks for sharing, I love abstract work. I’ve been thinking lately that it would be good for me to try something like that and get away from the more technical work I create. It would be nice to just let myself go and not really think to hard about what I’m making. Maybe I’ll have to make a video about abstract art soon 🤔
Gorgeous! I love how two colours work so well with each other. It would be a total different piece if you had made it digital (but for sure also rocking). I mostly work with traditional mediums but started to play with digital illustration a while ago. And to get a similiar experience with the digital drawing tools, i try to use less layers or even just one - like on paper, to force myself into this little decisions, and to let little imperfections happen. They tell the story of a human thinking about it and trying it , maybe struggling but making the art.
Exactly, those little imperfections say a lot and make the piece feel so much more human. They add to the story of what you’re making. Good luck on your journey with digital! Its a very useful tool.
WAIT, double sided tape shows up through your paper eventually. It takes years but your art is beautiful and worth preserving. Don’t forget to google products before using on major pieces.
The countdown to excitement and the flat "No. Absolutely not" are great edits. I like how the heron turned out, too.
Thank you! Happy you liked those, I’ve been having a lot of fun editing

Thank you!! I’m so happy I accidentally cut into that paper too haha. I think it might actually be a technique I do again, but do it on purpose.
