When I drive to London from Manchester I spend most of my miles getting lost in the city whilst trying to evade the rip-off congestion zone charges- a pox on you Livingstone.

Hmm I think that the rest of Europe should return to driving on the left-hand side of the road. Nappie Blownapart is dead so we might just as well.

Gear shifting of the first autos? Right handed shifting makes more sense to me. I can't even imagine trying to use a stick shift with my left hand.😂

i think because Gibraltar is a cape, not an island... so, due to the land road connection existed between Gibraltar and Spain, Gibraltar road system had to follow Spain road system which drive on the right...

Driving on left is natural continuation from riding era prior to automobiles, when your right hand carried sword and your priority was protecting your heart, on left. Handshake too is remnant of the era, clarifying you were not attacking, not that moment anyway. Why anyone switched to drive on right is a more pertinent question, actually. Seems without reason!

perhaps due to mainland European nations, and US wants to be different from the British... ironically, Japan preferred the British left-driving road style rather than the mainland European and US right-driving road style due to an almost equal similarity in ancient driving style...
