  • The 21st century has afforded us great advances, but is possible that we’ve actually taken a few steps back? Our future depends on our ability to embrace the human element and value obtaining a fundamental understanding of what servant leadership is and why it is relevant to us as individuals and as a society. We need to see you each other for who we really are, human beings, not “connections”. We need to identify ways for us to improve our individual commitment to those that we serve and support in order for us to achieve the outcomes we desire in the future. Servant leadership allows for us to accomplish this.
Authenticity means being comfortable in your own skin. Authentic leaders have self-awareness, self-respect, self-confidence, and emotional maturity. They prize integrity above image, and they seek to build trust with others on the basis of their personal character.
Our speaker subscribes whole heartedly to this definition and it shows through to those who truly know him and can be seen as the foundation of his leadership teaching and work. Anthony’s primaries focus when working with individuals and organizations is pretty straight forward; help people get better.
His energetic speaking style and unique ability to engage and motivate his audience to action by the use of personal life experiences and observations to reinforce his message
Anthony’s mission is to motivate youth and parents, educators, business leaders, and professionals of all disciplines to use their energy, influence and resources to create positive changes in the world. Connect with Anthony at successisalanguage.com

Great video. Love how you paint the picture using "swimming" of how we need to grow. Only way to learn is to jump in an learn.

Interesting talk! I am an occupational therapist by trade who is also a 2x TEDx talker. I am also a part time leadership geek. In my profession, I am known as a social media guru because I am connected with a ton of peers globally and my abilities to connect well with peers on social media space. In fact, I am definitely dubbed as a celebrity on social media in my profession despite I only have 5 years of experience in practice. However, what is underrated within me is that I value traditions as well as face to face interactions. I value the old school just as much as our new school thinkings. Relationships are very important. Social media can get me started, but it's the face to face interactions that I have strengthened these connections and more.

Bill Wong the most effective way of communication face to face interactions. a lot of the worlds going the opposite which is disheartening.

Robert Greenleaf did not come up with the idea of Servant Leadership Mark 9:35 (NIV): "Sitting down Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

There are many examples of servant-leadership found in ancient cultures and figures in addition to Jesus of Nazareth. Greenleaf is considered the father of servant leadership within the modern business context and his work, which was inspired from a character in a Herman Hesse novel, helped quantify how servant leadership principles can directly influence organizations beyond the traditional hierarchical sense of leadership which drove the industrial age.
