I love metal, just by them recreating the music to a different style like this but the same lyrics is completely amazing! I hate songs that are all slow and not metal but this! This is amazing!!!
The fact that so many people really like this and say "This cover is awesome!" and so many people dislike saying "This cover sucks!" Just shows me that this is something really special here.
I like everything from ambient music and roots reggae to free jazz and grind core, and I play in psychedelic stoner sludge metal band. I'm metalhead since I was 10, but this band is incredible refreshment. They are great!
What's the problem with you metalheads? This is a great, totaly different interpretation of a great song. It shows how strong this song actually is, no matterhow you play it. At least, I think Hellsongs did a hell of a job! Saw them perform live yesterday and together with lots of metal fans we enjoyed it a lot!
in a way ur right metalers^^ seem, more than any other fan group of any kind of music, to have a problem beeing tolerant. but in fact they´re quite tolerant people but when it comes to their music they will every sense of humor, why it is like this i cant tell^^
@TrueNeutral187 Sad but true.. (it seems.) Luckily there are also exeptions :) I love metal over all, but I also listen to various other genres. These songs have been covered soo many times that it's great to hear something as fresh as this!
I think it's like that they want to make people hear how Metal Lyrics can sound in a totally different settings. So they're really focusing on the lyrics.
@GrimNFrostbittenJew The Cardigans (another Swedish pop group!) covered Black Sabbath's "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and "Iron Man" to absolutely amazing effect. I for one would like to see Emperor covering Abba.
why do you people get so worked up? haha. if you cant appreciate interpretation at its most original you should rethink the music you listen to. i remember before our jazz concerts we were taking all the metallica riffs and swinging them, so awesome.
@TrueNeutral187 you don't know the german hip hop scene right? compared to them all those metalheads are open-minded music lovers :\ They're kinda intolerant, but they're not the worst xD I like this version too btw^^
I had a feeling you were in the USA. Cool, Italy! Apparently the food's great over there, but I haven't been there before. Also, I've just joined this metal band at school , and I'm eager to try something like 'For whom the Bell Tolls' or 'Master of puppets'. But as far as I know, the bassist and drummer hate metallica. ON a scale of low-high, how 'pretty shit' would you call that?
actually, this brings a new level to this song. I cant say one is better than the other. Allthough I prefer this one atm. Sure u dislike it, but u cant really say its being butchered?
alright the following comment is NOT a dislike joke to get more thumbs up: but 161 people are probably those stupid ''pure'' and ''true'' metalheads who like nothing else but Slayer, Maiden and Metallica's first 2 albums... this is great keep going!
I'll apologise, not all metal is satanic, but I know that some of maiden's work isn't really, erm, 'God-fearing'(?) But anyway, things like 'The Number Of The Beast' are what I'm referring to. I know perfectly well that a huge (huge) amount of metal is non-satanic (Master of Puppets [teh pwnage of metal songs] is about drug abuse), but satanic metal is what I'm referring to. I agree, being a fan must be hard if you slander them. Oh, and FYI, I come from Scotland land. Where do you come from?
Haha, well I meant intolerant of other types of music. Not other cultures, races or natures. But it's good you mentioned jazz! Jazz fans are far more intolerant of other music than metalheads are. I've known a jazz fan who would put on jazz and look at them like a rabid animal if they said it wasn't their style.
@TheSecondR well they arent covers in the strictest sense of the word are they? i would be more inclined to agree with your point if they were just covers, but clearly they arent, Apocalyptica just rip off metal songs, but with an orchestra, but they arent treated with the same vitriol, whats the difference?
I have a question, are all of their songs really covers? Or is each a completely different song, you know the guitar, drums, everything is completely unrelated to what the actual songs are, but, they just got lyrics from various famous songs and "claimed" it they we're covers? Did they just slap on the lyrics and the title of the original for profit? MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN LYRICS ALREADY!
No, it's likely that he isn't. While saying 'Spawn of Satan' may be a way of condemnation, the satanic nature of Heavy metal (especially that of Maiden), might be considered contradictory/ironic (particularly sad people like me who point it out). As a safety shot, I think saying 'Sack of shit' or 'blastphemic scum' might avoid awkard questions and comments like this one... (I.e. I'm bored and feel doing something mildly pointless)
@TrueNeutral187 they're too busy fighting over what's "really metal" to make heavy metal become a mainstream genre... is it a shame? or does it keep metal from becoming comercial and trendy?
@frigidpony i am metalhead and i enjoy this. why the hate and all this "tr00" talk? it's interesting and fun. but, while you shittin'on us, metalbabies [wow, i'm 32 this year!], try to remember, that in music context and idea comes not only from lyrics, but from sound and musical expression as well. and, believe me - we, metalbabies, as you generously called us, don't give a shit about you. kissez xxx
@darkania9 What the fuck? What you're basically saying, is that if I steal the whole candy shop it's truly okay, but if I steal just all the red ones, then I'm fucked?
Hellsongs is a plesant experience, but in this song she sounds like a crasy girl who likes to kill for pleasure. Like the female character in "Natural Born Killer". Well, some humor in this happy singing "searching, seek, and destroy" :) Childish lyrics written by Metallica in their early, not so mature, years. Hellsongs interpretation of "Paranoid" and "Run to the Hills" are much more rewarding, giving depth and weight to the lyrics.
I love metal. and I think good covers record obviously you do not do metal but you are more original bands grabbing covers and want to sound like the original bands They copy up to the gestures Continue forward. Wherefrom they are? perdon por los errores jaja
Well, I'd say I'm a metalhead, and considering Metallica I'm an orthodox fan, meaning that for me Metallica is just non-existent after And justice for all, I think the Black album is a bad joke made of pop songs, etc. But I find Hellsongs to be bloody brilliant, it's creative and fun :)
@TheSecondR do you take the same approach to art and paintings? the impressionists? PAH, WHY DONT THEY JUST TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH LOLZ. Artistic impression comes in all shapes and forms and it takes a dick load more balls and talent to have a crack at taking a very different take on a very popular song from a completely different genre than it does to simply replicate it, any high school talent show band can cover a song, it takes true talent to reinterpret it. 5 stars.
gosh this is gross !! the essence of seek and destroy is lost ! but i have to admit, can die on those vocals. the cutest i ever heard.. it is only the lyrical content which is remade, so no issues..
I haven't listened the original of Seek and Destroy, but I know what the Metallica sound is like. I think this is actually really funny and well done. But I do see how this version would enrage a hardcore Metallica fan. I'm not always a big fan of covers, i.e. Paul Gilbert's take on 'The Lamb Lies down on Broadway' wasn't too great. Also, as Hellsongs comes from Gothenberg (Black metal central), it must be funny to look at the faces of people coming to their gigs expecting 'Hell-songs'... xD
if the title havent said seek and destroy i shouldnt know that it was that song. why do they call themself lounge-metal just say yur a lounge band that cover metal songs
Wow, alot has happened since i last viewed these comments ^^ I just want to make some things clear. I am not a "spawn of satan", nor am I a "sack of shit". I just like their music, and if you got a problem with that, you should open your mind a bit and realise that other people can like different music than yourself. It's just naturall, so stop complaining and go do something good instead ^^
i understand that they didnt write the lyrics, but listen to the music - it calls nothing from metallica's song, no solo or the sweet ass interlude or those amazing ending riffs. im a huge metallica nerd, trust me, but you have to realize that this is a folk parody/cover. you can say you dont like folk, but you cant say that they ruin things. say you heard a song with good lyrics and wanted to do a metal cover of it, because you like metal. are you ruining the song? or just intepreting.....
sounds hippie xD ... well ... this one is more calm .. metal for the non-metal heads :l ... it isn't much of the seek and destroy ... the music doesnt fit the words like "destroy" and "kill" ... but for the hippie kind of music .. this aint really bad =P ... its nice to see how ppl can get creative with covering some songs ... but so far .. with all the covers of seek and destroy ... metallica's original is the best \m/
I love metal, just by them recreating the music to a different style like this but the same lyrics is completely amazing! I hate songs that are all slow and not metal but this! This is amazing!!!
Amazing cover
This is how a cover should be done! Completely different than the orginal. Avesome!
This is one of the songs that got me into metal a decade ago. And this cover is... brilliant!
A top five out of five.
12 years later and I'm still loving it! ❤️
They are great!
this is the best metallica cover ever, beats even the original :D
Well put. Another example of this is the countless variations of 'knockin' on Heaven's Door'.
Se esplodessero in questo preciso momento titrerei un grandissimo sospiro di sollievo!!!
I heard Metallica made a cover of this.
Yeah, and I heard it wasn't that great really.
Searching... seek and destroy... na na na na na.... :)
This was a beautiful arrangement on a great song. Forget everyone who hates on this because your probably 13 and have no musical horizon.
I so wish in the deepest part of my soul, that such beauty and genius would not use its power for evil.
A true metalhead wouldn't like this. Seek and destroy has the best riffs ever.
I'm quite surprised listening to this "rare version of Seek and Destroy", but I have to admit it that I'm enjoying it
This is really great ^^ Very nice cover!
As a loyal Metallica fan..I say f...ing great! James would like this!
as a metallica fan I adore this cover, it's got a serious groove :)
this is great!
I like music, this is music and I like it.
You can keep your trendy comments to yourself children!
This is so weird, but I strangely like it.
Thx for doing this "cuddle" version of this song - cant´t stop listening to it!!!
- Our Brains are on fire, with a feeling to kill-
Awesome version. =)
Awesome! Definitely a lot scarier than the original version..
in a way ur right metalers^^ seem, more than any other fan group of any kind of music, to have a problem beeing tolerant.
but in fact they´re quite tolerant people but when it comes to their music they will every sense of humor, why it is like this i cant tell^^
@darkania9 It's still not stealing - it's definitely cover, since a lot of the tunes and a bit of the rhythm is the same.
i bet Cliff is watching this from heaven thinking "WTF??!!"
KILLED IT!!!!!!!
Recycling "metal". Fantastic !
@Solidamente This is a cover,not a copy. Thank you.
@GrimNFrostbittenJew The Cardigans (another Swedish pop group!) covered Black Sabbath's "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and "Iron Man" to absolutely amazing effect. I for one would like to see Emperor covering Abba.
why do you people get so worked up? haha. if you cant appreciate interpretation at its most original you should rethink the music you listen to.
i remember before our jazz concerts we were taking all the metallica riffs and swinging them, so awesome.
gotta love the organs here.
@evilbeaver19 finally somebody who got the point of a cover version
this could be put on the radio and only metalheads would get it. i would piss my pants if i heard this.
@TrueNeutral187 you don't know the german hip hop scene right? compared to them all those metalheads are open-minded music lovers :\
They're kinda intolerant, but they're not the worst xD
I like this version too btw^^
Myyycket bra gänget!
Awesome. :)
I had a feeling you were in the USA. Cool, Italy! Apparently the food's great over there, but I haven't been there before.

Highest level shit..
art or no art , it's a bold move to cover a metal classic in that way , and being a metal fan i can't appreciate it
Ahh, lol. That's fine. Disregarded. :) I thought that what you (or rather, Chris) had said seemed a bit random, seeing as we had stopped arguing.
actually, this brings a new level to this song. I cant say one is better than the other. Allthough I prefer this one atm. Sure u dislike it, but u cant really say its being butchered?
Lmao actually like this version :) pretty funny :D +1
their best cover is Paranoid!
and i'm pretty drunk at almost 5 a m and im listening to this band cover metallica and megadeth songs. it's pretty damn funny to me.
@oainsh My post was at least partially in jest. Especially the "tr00" part. Hugs.
alright the following comment is NOT a dislike joke to get more thumbs up: but 161 people are probably those stupid ''pure'' and ''true'' metalheads who like nothing else but Slayer, Maiden and Metallica's first 2 albums... this is great keep going!
I guess you shouldn't take this too seriously... it's quite funny, even for a fan of Metallica like me. And it doesn't sound too bad, too.
I'll apologise, not all metal is satanic, but I know that some of maiden's work isn't really, erm, 'God-fearing'(?) But anyway, things like 'The Number Of The Beast' are what I'm referring to. WOULD YOU THINK OF THAT?! YOU ARE MISTAKING!
*ahem*
Youre thinking about "Am i Evil"
@TheSecondR well they arent covers in the strictest sense of the word are they? i would be more inclined to agree with your point if they were just covers, but clearly they arent, Apocalyptica just rip off metal songs, but with an orchestra, but they arent treated with the same vitriol, whats the difference?
Actually quite a lot of metalfans like different styles of music, but maybe they don't bother to comment. ;)
Is so funny how the play a song about killing fighting and stuff in such a "happy" way
I am pretty sure Metallica would like this. By the way, a mashup of this and the Seattle '89 Seek and Destroy would be fun.
where is the tattatara tara tatatitutituuuuu ....?
is it avril?
Tremendo.
I have a question, are all of their songs really covers? @Gunskill94 Nerdrage?
@Solidamente that's the point!
but the peculiarity of this band is just that they play metal songs in an indie-pop-folk key..
No, it's likely that he isn't. While saying 'Spawn of Satan' may be a way of condemnation, the satanic nature of Heavy metal (especially that of Maiden), might be considered contradictory/ironic (particularly sad people like me who point it out).

@fcknkondzik This is Disco? >_>
@darkania9 What the fuck? What you're basically saying, is that if I steal the whole candy shop it's truly okay, but if I steal just all the red ones, then I'm fucked?
just listen the lyrics bro...
do you like the lyrics with this music?
sadatake must be an Iron Maiden fan in some ways...
This is great, you cant beat the original anyway so why nopt do a complety different take on it, I love it!

can you say 'juxtaposition'?
Who's Singing??????????????
I like metal, but I find this funny. It sounds phsychopathic :s

@TrueNeutral187 Don't be so quick to judge

@popami There was no way to prettify that hehehe \m/
It stiiiiiinks!!!!!!! How dare you!!!!!!!!!

lmao. a folk pop band covering thrash metal songs? for real? and i thought i have heard it all.
lawl
Hang on. Are you saying that sadatake is a spawn of Satan? What Satan are we talking about here...?
