Not surprising, when you consider the bog from which this peat is harvested shares a border with a TOXIC WASTE DUMP SITE. The dirt had heavy metals, known carcinogens, off-the-scale levels of viruses and bacteria and even detectable levels of radiation. So, yeah, go ahead, folks. Get good health by consuming dirt from a site worse than Love Canal, NY. OMFG.

Many hospitals have rebranded routine birthing services as emergency care in order to up charge for them during typical, healthy vaginal births. I love that they claim both "delivers usable oxygen into the cell" and "reduces oxidative stress" at the same time. Like forget about the fact that if your cells weren't getting enough oxygen in the first place from breathing air and having blood pumped around your body you'd die... What exactly do they think the primary cause of oxidative stress is? I know it's been a few years since I got my chemistry degree, but I **THINK** oxygen might itself be an oxidizer.
What? No oxygen is not the cause of oxidative stress. If you truly knew anything about science you would know that it is caused by new radicals circulating in your body. You can tell you have too many new radicals in your body because your hair will fall out and you will have an intense urge to wear bucket hats and flat-bottomed low rise, lace up loafers from sports wear makers such as Adidas or Puma. This was a huge problem in the late 90s. Just remember you get what you give.

100% agree. I have RA, as well, and as soon as I was diagnosed, people came out of the woodwork to tell me what to do instead of going to a Rheumy and getting on meds. People getting really personal about my choices and how the "chemotherapy drugs" the doctors were going to put me on were going to ruin me. Meanwhile, I literally could not get dressed in anything that required buttoning buttons, pulling up zippers, or lacing shoes. I couldn't turn a doorknob. And, to be perfectly frank, it was hard for me to go to the toilet by myself. I was terrified that my life as an independent human being was over at what should have been the peak of my life. And I'm savvy; I have an advanced degree in biology, I can actually read and understand the research--but these so-called "helpful people" had me in such a state of anxiety. I cannot imagine what it must be like for people who don't have the ability, time, resources, whatever, to read and understand what the literature says to cope with these not-so-helpful people. Anyway, now I'm on the "chemotherapy drugs" and (for what anecdotal evidence is worth) rather than ruining me, I can get dressed, open doors, and go to the loo all by myself again. Heck, I went for a 3-mile walk yesterday. Thanks, Big Pharma!
the other thing chelation is useful for: ingestion of radioactive materials, because those are also heavy metals, usually. commonly used for that is prussian blue, the pigment. also, the chelation agent doesn't care whether the metal it binds to is useful or not. you will lose iron, copper, selenium, etc. chelation is a this or die kind of process and not to be taken lightly.
There's so much in modern medicine which is "do this or die". My mom was stuck in hospital for 18 days getting her immune system nuked into a low earth orbit, all with the knowledge that if she didn't, she'd be dead within a year. Now she's looking at another decade at least. A lot of treatments are terrible, but they work, and the alternative is objectively worse, so we do them.
I get you, Emma. They make my blood boil too. My partner has kidney disease and recently had to go back on dialysis (his kidney transplant is failing). I have asthma. Keeping the hell away from anywhere that we could possibly catch Covid is a high priority for us and it just frustrates and angers me so much to see how little ppl care about others. most of those minerals would be found in a balanced diet or maybe taking a multi vitamin if recommended to do so by your Dr. or other trusted medical professional I used to be iron deficient when I was younger due to leaching it as a result of a clotting disorder so was recommended to take a multi vitamin for that

I could see it. It's possible to sustainably harvest peat, it's just super expensive, and you don't get much yield at all, which is why essentially no one does it. But if you are charging 100 dollars for 30 capsules, you probably can spend 100x as much on harvesting. Then again, MLMs aren't known for their truth in marketing...

I remember a fad that said children will eat dirt because their body was lacking some mineral in the dirt, which led to a craving. I was with my dad when a parent saw a child eating dirt and said, "they must be lacking something" to which dad responded. "Yeah, supervision".

@@Bringon-dw8dx It's weird, because at a discount drug store you can get 90 multi vitamin tablets for $15 and the generic grocery stores sell the same 90 tablets for just under $4, vitamin C for $3. Reason for the price difference: people feel that more expensive = better. It doesn't even matter if they know that the ratios and amounts are the exact same and according to multiple studies they're equal in every aspect except for the packaging and pricing. So they do their groceries, ignore the vitamins, and then go to a different store to specifically pay ~4 times as much for the same thing so it has a bigger placebo effect, knowing that that is the only difference, and knowing they're encouraging useless placebos that inflates prices, ignoring that that makes life harder for people who have less income and making it socially acceptable that money buys better placebos when the best placebos are for free: friends, having fun, sex, taking a walk(or lie in a bed on wheels and have someone push you down the street for all I care), talking to an understanding professional. All of those things have all kinds of side effects you can actually measure and are great. It's like drinking water when you're thirsty from eating something salty and then thinking it tastes better than ever and having the pleasant side effect of not dying of dehydration or bleeding to death as a result of high blood pressure. It's amazing! Other people are like, when I need comfort I pray to a god. I love placebos! But I kind of prefer the ones that have actual and beneficial side effects. Like, I have friends I love dearly and to increase my self worth and confidence I see them and talk with them and laugh with them and sometimes I just send a text message! I also have a bipolar disorder and when I inevitably fall into a depression my placebos help me do actual groceries and stuff. It's amazing what placebos can do :p

I lost an aunt many years ago to heavy metal poisoning. She had been treated very aggressively for arthritis with medicine containing gold salts. This didn’t cure her debilitating arthritis but it did result in poisoning from the gold. She was deathly ill for about six months before the gold finally killed her and the treatments were really painful and made her bedridden.
The frustrating thing with "see you doctor, don't go behind their back" at least in the US, is that 20% don't have doctors. and 40% haven't seen their doctor in the last 12 months. All because they can't afford it, or there just aren't enough. A lot of the MLM health&wellness prevalence in the US feels like it's because there isn't socialized medicine / ease of medical professional access.
My gawd....I've been foolishly putting my homemade compost into my garden for the past 20 years, when I could have been selling it for half a million per shovelful!

Second, just something I noticed that you might consider: since you started using the ring light you're often over-exposed, you can notice it in this video where often your nose, due to your generally very pale complexion ends up being 'burnt' by the light (so white it loses all detail). Perhaps some fiddling with the intensity of the lamp or how near it sits to you might help. Keep up the great work ♥ Edit - As for the bog dirt, it just feels pretty insane to me, but the thing that is kind of the most on point was the way that person/rep at the end made fun of those falling for other kind of nonsense. It reminded me of Jim Jefferies' short skeet from his tv show where he confronts conspiracy theorists of different kind and it becomes hilarious when they start scoffing at each other when one or the other exposes a type of nonsense they don't agree with. I have the same autoimmune issue your mom has, and I get so many bullshit "cure" ideas from people all the time. Like, I see a doctor for a reason. This whole, "I read a blog and now I'm an expert!" mentality is really frustrating to deal with. Love your videos as usual and I really hope your mom finds some relief. I feel like I’m missing out by using the contents of my compost bin to fertilize soil and help grow vegetables. I should be scooping it into jars and selling it! Best of all, my compost is made with a significant quantity of coffee grounds already.

Most of the materials u supposably getting from Boo/ eating dirt u can get from a balance diet and supplements. I have an allergy to sunlight one top of arthritis. Instead of taking Boo I went to my doctor who told me to take a supplement since I can't get out in the sun as well as try to get more exercise to help my arthritis since moving around helps arthritis

When I was diagnosed with epilepsy I was desperate and frantic to find anything that might help. I tried bentonite clay after reading all about how amazing it is and how it can cure things. After using it, I was immediately, terribly sick for hours. Vertigo, double vision, vomiting, all of it. All my research said the sickness was me detoxing and that it was a good thing, but I had literally poisoned myself while trying to cure myself.
A major reason people go for things like this is not everyone has access to medical care in the US, so desperate folks are going for a riskier alternative that they can actually afford. These companies are taking advantage of a systemic issue, they're a symptom, rather than a cause.

And one of those times I went to a health foods store, wanting anything they could give me to help... Because my thyroid was suspected, they gave me iodine "cures" for it... I actually didn't have the time to fully research it before my doc got back to me so I didn't end up taking it & it's a damn good thing I didn't... The condition they found was Hashimoto's hypothyroidism, which is an autoimmune condition & patients with this diagnosis are NOT deficient in iodine, so taking it can POISON us!!! Anywho, just to say I've been burned by supposed panaceas in the past & on my most painful days I still feel like I could easily fall prey to anyone who says, "Just take this, it cures everything"... So these types of MLMs target ME & people JUST LIKE ME, like your mum... They take advantage of us... And with every bit of the "advantages" you were reading, alarm bells were going off in my head & things were just making me angrier... "The most powerful electrolyte"?? Electrolytes aren't ranked by power tho?? Like, you need all of them, in different amounts, so one isn't "more powerful" than the next... "Delivers usable oxygen to cells"?? I love that they claim both "delivers usable oxygen into the cell" and "reduces oxidative stress" at the same time. Like forget about the fact that if your cells weren't getting enough oxygen in the first place from breathing air and having blood pumped around your body you'd die... What exactly do they think the primary cause of oxidative stress is? I know it's been a few years since I got my chemistry degree, but I **THINK** oxygen might itself be an oxidizer.
What? No oxygen is not the cause of oxidative stress. If you truly knew anything about science you would know that it is caused by new radicals circulating in your body. You can tell you have too many new radicals in your body because your hair will fall out and you will have an intense urge to wear bucket hats and flat-bottomed low rise, lace up loafers from sports wear makers such as Adidas or Puma. This was a huge problem in the late 90s. Just remember you get what you give.

100% agree. I have RA, as well, and as soon as I was diagnosed, people came out of the woodwork to tell me what to do instead of going to a Rheumy and getting on meds. People getting really personal about my choices and how the "chemotherapy drugs" the doctors were going to put me on were going to ruin me. Meanwhile, I literally could not get dressed in anything that required buttoning buttons, pulling up zippers, or lacing shoes. I couldn't turn a doorknob. And, to be perfectly frank, it was hard for me to go to the toilet by myself.
I was terrified that my life as an independent human being was over at what should have been the peak of my life. And I'm savvy; I have an advanced degree in biology, I can actually read and understand the research--but these so-called "helpful people" had me in such a state of anxiety. I cannot imagine what it must be like for people who don't have the ability, time, resources, whatever, to read and understand what the literature says to cope with these not-so-helpful people. Anyway, now I'm on the "chemotherapy drugs" and (for what anecdotal evidence is worth) rather than ruining me, I can get dressed, open doors, and go to the loo all by myself again. Heck, I went for a 3-mile walk yesterday. Thanks, Big Pharma!

There's so much in modern medicine which is "do this or die". My mom was stuck in hospital for 18 days getting her immune system nuked into a low earth orbit, all with the knowledge that if she didn't, she'd be dead within a year. Now she's looking at another decade at least.

most of those minerals would be found in a balanced diet or maybe taking a multi vitamin if recommended to do so by your Dr. or other trusted medical professional I used to be iron deficient when I was younger due to leaching it as a result of a clotting disorder so was recommended to take a multi vitamin for that

I could see it. It's possible to sustainably harvest peat, it's just super expensive, and you don't get much yield at all, which is why essentially no one does it.

@@Bringon-dw8dx It's weird, because at a discount drug store you can get 90 multi vitamin tablets for $15 and the generic grocery stores sell the same 90 tablets for just under $4, vitamin C for $3. Reason for the price difference: people feel that more expensive = better. It doesn't even matter if they know that the ratios and amounts are the exact same and according to multiple studies they're equal in every aspect except for the packaging and pricing. So they do their groceries, ignore the vitamins, and then go to a different store to specifically pay ~4 times as much for the same thing so it has a bigger placebo effect, knowing that that is the only difference, and knowing they're encouraging useless placebos that inflates prices, ignoring that that makes life harder for people who have less income and making it socially acceptable that money buys better placebos when the best placebos are for free: friends, having fun, sex, taking a walk(or lie in a bed on wheels and have someone push you down the street for all I care), talking to an understanding professional. All of those things have all kinds of side effects you can actually measure and are great.
It's like drinking water when you're thirsty from eating something salty and then thinking it tastes better than ever and having the pleasant side effect of not dying of dehydration or bleeding to death as a result of high blood pressure. It's amazing! Other people are like, when I need comfort I pray to a god. Thank you for this video. As someone who has two chronic pain illnesses and a daughter with a chronic pain illness, I'm always getting notified of the latest fad health craze. Now when someone asks me if I've tried this dirt, I can point them to you.

I lost an aunt many years ago to heavy metal poisoning. She had been treated very aggressively for arthritis with medicine containing gold salts. This didn’t cure her debilitating arthritis but it did result in poisoning from the gold. She was deathly ill for about six months before the gold finally killed her and the treatments were really painful and made her bedridden.
The frustrating thing with "see you doctor, don't go behind their back" at least in the US, is that 20% don't have doctors. and 40% haven't seen their doctor in the last 12 months. All because they can't afford it, or there just aren't enough. A lot of the MLM health&wellness prevalence in the US feels like it's because there isn't socialized medicine / ease of medical professional access.
Sometimes stupidity supplies it's own punishment. Eating dirt.

Second, just something I noticed that you might consider: since you started using the ring light you're often over-exposed, you can notice it in this video where often your nose, due to your generally very pale complexion ends up being 'burnt' by the light (so white it loses all detail). Perhaps some fiddling with the intensity of the lamp or how near it sits to you might help. Keep up the great work ♥
Edit - As for the bog dirt, it just feels pretty insane to me, but the thing that is kind of the most on point was the way that person/rep at the end made fun of those falling for other kind of nonsense. It reminded me of Jim Jefferies' short skeet from his tv show where he confronts conspiracy theorists of different kind and it becomes hilarious when they start scoffing at each other when one or the other exposes a type of nonsense they don't agree with. Most of the materials u supposably getting from Boo/ eating dirt u can get from a balance diet and supplements. I have an allergy to sunlight one top of arthritis. Instead of taking Boo I went to my doctor who told me to take a supplement since I can't get out in the sun as well as try to get more exercise to help my arthritis since moving around helps arthritis

When I was diagnosed with epilepsy I was desperate and frantic to find anything that might help. I tried bentonite clay after reading all about how amazing it is and how it can cure things. After using it, I was immediately, terribly sick for hours. Vertigo, double vision, vomiting, all of it. All my research said the sickness was me detoxing and that it was a good thing, but I had literally poisoned myself while trying to cure myself.
A major reason people go for things like this is not everyone has access to medical care in the US, so desperate folks are going for a riskier alternative that they can actually afford. These companies are taking advantage of a systemic issue, they're a symptom, rather than a cause.
Their sales pitch for the network marketing should be "do you know a lot of idiots? want to cash in on them? we can help you, sign up now!"

And one of those times I went to a health foods store, wanting anything they could give me to help... Because my thyroid was suspected, they gave me iodine "cures" for it... I actually didn't have the time to fully research it before my doc got back to me so I didn't end up taking it & it's a damn good thing I didn't... The condition they found was Hashimoto's hypothyroidism, which is an autoimmune condition & patients with this diagnosis are NOT deficient in iodine, so taking it can POISON us!!!
Anywho, just to say I've been burned by supposed panaceas in the past & on my most painful days I still feel like I could easily fall prey to anyone who says, "Just take this, it cures everything"... So these types of MLMs target ME & people JUST LIKE ME, like your mum... They take advantage of us... And with every bit of the "advantages" you were reading, alarm bells were going off in my head & things were just making me angrier... "The most powerful electrolyte"?? Electrolytes aren't ranked by power tho?? Like, you need all of them, in different amounts, so one isn't "more powerful" than the next... "Delivers usable oxygen to cells"?? You know what delivers usable oxygen to the cells??? Blood... Do--do they think that your body is currently delivering UNUSABLE oxygen to cells??? Just every bit got me more & more mad... UGH!!!
But THANK YOU for making videos like this & your other MLM videos, because people can learn how predatory these companies are & how they literally do NOT care about helping those of us in need... You're amazing, keep doing what you do because it makes such a great difference in our world!!!
