BMW in their infinite wisdom decided somewhere along the way that the world needed a high riding SUV with a coupe-like roofline and boom, the X6 was created. And now, a decade later, they're everywhere, including from brands like Infiniti. This is the new QX55 and it's a continuation of their previous FX35.

This car is a looker.
As an owner of QX50 with CVT since 2018 i have to mention that this CVT is ok, its not that bad for a driver as many people think. Hope it is reliable too )

That thing should have a 9-Speed Auto since thats what Nissan is doing with some of its vehicles... hell I'd take the 7-Speed from the Q50. No one likes a CVT when you have one, especially in a luxury vehicle.
It's good enough to go in a Lexus ls500h
Bruh this car literally let everyone down with the same damn engine as the qx50. If it was a v6 this car would be a crazy seller
The CVT for this level of vehicle makes no sense, and holds this vehicle back.
And yet I don’t think Infiniti understands their customer complaints u think they would have gotten rid of it by now

I once owned the FX35 and loved it. As for the QX55 ....what I don't like is that the gas cap is on the drivers side. I prefer it on the right side of the vehicles.
I got the QX55 for myself for my birthday, I own a 2010 FX35...love this car and the QX55 is 10x more refined....LOVE THE RIDE, FEATURES, AND BEAUTY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! THANKS INFINITI!!! Oh I got the sensory pak w added light illumination pkg as well. ...SO MUCH FUN💗💗

Peculiar that it doesn’t have a panoramic sunroof, you can get one on the qx50.

I’ve had a G35, FX35 and now the QX70 (for 8 years) and I love it. Next new one will the be QX55! Hopefully in a few months.

I have a QX70 and before that I had FX35. I do like the body style and all the bells and whistles but you lost me at 4 cylinder 😢. Do better Infiniti
But infiniti, not bmw, began the trend of "high riding suv with a coupe fastback like roofline" 2004 with the 1st gen fx35...
Infiniti is the company that created the crossover segment. The Germans jumped on the bandwagon. The dual screens allow you to always have navigation and Apple CarPlay on the upper screen while displaying your settings in the lower. It is a pain to have to back out of the navigation just to view your settings in the German rivals. The CVT avoids the constant lurching that a standard gearbox has. Do not follow the herd.
The exterior design is not enough to make up for the dated interior and terrible powertrain. Hopefully they ditch the CVT in all their cars like they are with the upcoming QX60
The same what Nissan did with Maxima, make beautiful exterior lots of features and overall beautiful car but they did that just to camouflage that horrible CVT thing, shame on Nissan.

Infinite made first like a James bond type of car my dad had one we rode it I remember not liked by many but soon as bmw did it everybody wanted to
The infotainment center and gauge cluster are so “long in the tooth.” And I don’t know why they gave it the troublesome Jatco CVT transmission when most of the 2022 Nissan models now have a 9 speed transmission. It is powered by an innovative turbocharged four-cylinder engine that uses variable compression-called VC-Turbo, or VC-T for short. Read this analysis to better understand how it works. The engine makes 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that directs power to either the front or all four wheels. The engine seamlessly swaps between high compression during steady cruising and low compression during hard acceleration. While it never exhilarates when the pedal hits the metal, only those seeking a seriously quick crossover will be disappointed. Unfortunately, the engine is loud under heavy throttle, and the CVT makes this worse, especially around town.

Exteriors looks great really eye catching maybe the best design by Infiniti, but the interiors r outdated and junky & awful CVT r really disappointing, just try repeat the same interiors (single big infotainments screen, fully digital instrument cluster) of the all new QX60 because it's have a great significance for a performance oriented luxury suv like this, also replace the Bose audio system which is not satisfying too with a 16ch. Harman kardon unit as optional.
they should make a fastback sedan version of this.
Until the cvt transmission is gone, I wouldn't even consider this suv. Had nothing but headaches with my murano because of it.
I thought enough people by now have said to skip the CVT for these vehicles. It just does not make sense for this type of vehicle.

Why are all these luxury car makers using rubber on the bumpers and around the wheel wells? It gives the vehicle a cheap look.

Umm.....I'm guessing world geography wasn't your strongest class in high school. I'm presuming by China, you're referring to the Peoples Republic of China and not the Republic of China (Taiwan). Either way, Genesis is a South Korean automaker.

This car just came out and already needs a revamp.
Why are you able to get a LCD gauge cluster in the new, rental fleet-destined, Nissan Rogue....but It is not available on this car? Why did they release this with that outdated infotainment?
This car needs an interior face-lift, and the Red Sport 400 drivetrain, and I will lease it in a heartbeat.
But as-is...it just doesn't deliver for the price.
Few years ago Infiniti charged $60k for super car with 5l V8 - FX50S. And now $60k for this.

Man plsssssss. Mercedes and bmw will be a better buy for the money. The extra 3k isn’t that bad. The tech and powertrain is better IMO. This car could have been a winner because the exterior is very nice! But that interior my gosh it’s a mess alone with that tech. I don’t see this selling well but we’ll see.

All cars are overpriced nowadays and it’s ridiculous. They are absolutely not worth it at all. There are Corollas going for nearly 30k just ridiculous. Never buy a new car unless you get a great deal or you really really have at least twice the price of the car in ur bank account. That is my opinion., but I prefer to buy certified preowned cars over new cars bcuz they are not worth the money.

Yes the Acura ZDX was the first suv coupe but didn’t sell well probably because of the beak style grill that everyone hated back then, if they had done a better grill with the refresh it would’ve been a hit but Acura dropped the ZDX.

Whats crazy is you hear the CVT whining in the background as he is driving while talking. Thank God Nissan is switching over to s conventional Trans but i think it's a little to late, that's what happens when as a company you think you know more than what your customers are asking for. I had a Marano and i said that's the last Nissan Ima buy.
