True but she crushed fresh rose petals ( implies water content in the petals), the rose pigment dissolved in the water (not the coconut oil), she then boiled everything in coconut oil creating an emulsion(a mixture of oil and water) , and let the water evaporate , the pigments remained back in the oil. Do follow the method and see for your self if it works, probably very low heat is recommended. I will post again after I have tried it.

Now that I have tried it, here's my feedback: The oil can be heated and then taken off the stove and the rose petals added, when you strain the oil and press the rose petals over the sieve you'll get rose pigments (dissolved in water) into the oil. Please keep the heat low or you'll char the rose petals.

Natural colorant won't last for a long time. The colour will fade eventually, within less than 1 month. Make small batch for products using natural colorant. Final result (for lip balms) will be sheer or no colour at all. Nice as decorative, to add more character on natural products.
