This video gave zero statistics about male fertility as it relates to age. Yeah sperm quality can degrade with age. A middle-schooler could guess that much but what are the rates of infertility as a man ages? What factors contribute to faster degradation? How does male infertility at various ages compare to female infertility at those ages? This video is low information clickbait trash.

Heyyyyyy, ...All balls are shriveled ... there supposed to look that way.
      Don't be rude huh..
Anyway, I think we have different definitions on what is "old." I'm still considering the 40 year old guy to be old. I'm not talking medical assistance here okay... And if he's a 45 or even 55 year old millionaire, that is a good catch.
And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a 25 or 30 year old account and your both the same age. It's fine. And good on you if you feel it's as good as your going to get.
We need to know our limits right? I'm just saying, a 25 year old can usually attract a 45 year old millionaire. And why not?
Young couples, (I'm defining as 20's,) have their share of uncertainty.
Divorce rate among young working couples is still 50%
And when they do, after ten years of marriage, he's the one who will still have market value in his 30's, 40's and 50's.
And middle aged single moms are famously disillusioned about the "wall" and about how much fun is to be middle aged single mom. Men are quickly getting wise to it as well.
You may still not like the good reasons but, I will list a couple anyway. (Since your reply was kinda fun to read)
      - Older guys are better lovers.
      (Just what I heard)
      - the older he is and younger you are, less likely he is to trade you up.
      - more likely you are to stick with it if it's not perfect. And you'll be young enough to enjoy inheriting his estate.
      (That's got to be good)
      - mature men have more patience and often better dads.
Hmmm what else... oh yeah, there's more of them out there than you think. (Again, not talking about the boomers okay. those guys are nearly dead)
      And ummm yeah,
      I know balls aren't pretty...
I agree there're kinda funny lookin really. But hey, they are what they are. No use complaining about the way things are. Better to do the best with what you got.
      That's how millionaires become millionaires.

However, its infinite-repeating nature in base 10 (and pretty much any other integer base) is not a defining property of pi or any other irrational number.
Anyway, arguing over the length of the video because it's one second off of a clearly inferred approximation is just silly. Besides, even if the time tag was 3:14, strictly speaking, that number has always and always be inaccurate as a representation of pi because seconds are in sexagesimal base (base 60... well sort of). That means that a closer aproximation of pi in time would be 3:08, and even that can be challenged because minutes are also sexagesimal.

The male reproductive biological clock cause the sperms to deteriorate after the man had become sexual matured and will continued to do so thronghout the man's entire life. >new field of study
i really doubt that no one has ever thought about this before
once you have a large enough population with enough people of different ages having children it should become quite obvious quite early that there is some kind of pattern.

Absolutely horrific. I thought this was a science show. Scientifically men are people with XY chromosomes. Fact. You can't switch or operate your genetic code.

I saw that and became sad. A supposedly scientific channel avoiding the proper terms of sexual differentiation. Science shouldn't care about hurting feelings. If people want to feel they're giraffes it's their problem, science should just tell the facts... it's surreal...

I recommend Hank Green's quite recent video about biological sex. Basically, the claim is that biological sex is a spectrum. I will not quote it like it's an established fact but I think it may give the push to do some research on latest science view on the topic.

That doesn't mean that just because 2% or less of the population has this unique characteristics we should change language. And it's not gender they are discussing, is sperm which to my knowledge can only be made in male testicles. Even if you are part of this 2%.

How old? What percentage is the risk? Why do you provide no data? Why did you make a meaningless video?

    • @julijakeit
      @julijakeit 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

Apparently, we need to draw our own conclusions that after the man's prime time, the risk of deformed sperm increases. At least women are told that getting pregnant after 35 is considered higher risk pregnancy due to higher risk of deformed babies that increase exponentially each following 5 years.

@David Gregory and they did the "sex is a spectrum" video the other day. Either they are running out of ideas or it's a concerted effort at driving a narrative. It's just frustrating when the people who gush over objective science will be the first ones to sell out.

You have 21 sources listed under the video. Go and dig up the info if you need it. It was "fast fact", there is only so much data you can include in a short, 3 min episode.
