The ole school mister twister sassy shad was the one with the drop body and fish catching machines. They still are out there too. Bass pro also makes a shad body that a copy of the sassy shad. It's in their off shore angler stuff.
Those shimano slx mgl 70s can cast down to 1/8th oz easy with 12lb line.
"It's a pretty slow day. I've been here about an hour and a half and only caught about 5 fish."
Meanwhile, i go out and will consider 5 fish for the day pretty decent 😂
I've looked at those plastics but haven't been able to justify the price. After watching I might just pick up a pack or three. I have picked up but haven't tried the vmc ned heads, but I do intend to use them as the ned rig is killing it for me.

Those mayors are amazing little baits. They are very similar to the threadfin shad!

Such a great video. Getting an experience like that, start out on the bank and end up in a boat. …. Totally forgot about the 1st gen top spin. Had a few last year, lost my last one to a snapping turtle, never ordered them again for some reason. I’ll have to order some up.

Debo I hate to tell you this, but those Expride rods when you can get them on sale is arguably the best bass fishing rod there is. I know you know it, I have 2 of them. I’ve used top of the line Nrx and Steez rods and they are amazing but for like the 220-275 range. You simply don’t need a better rod than the Expride.

Here in the South East Iowa the swim jig has been killin it as of late. Bluegill color for me. Right in the hydrilla.

Love using First Gen's Jaw Dropper. I definitely need to grab some of those Top Spins though!🔥 Sweet boat! Great catches. Shakeyheads and my little rinky dink Underspin has been working for me.
The Expride B lineup is the best out there and the Curado 70 is insanely good

I picked up a single pack of those crush city swimbaits, paired with a flashy swimmer and they work great! That tail kicks well even in pretty cold water. Went through a whole pack in 2 trips but they def hold up better than a keitech. 👍 Love that SLX MGL too! Once I finally got done blowing up my reel 3x I set the brakes properly and now its BUTTER.

Whenever I've thrown the 1st gen topspin I swear on about 60% of the cast the blade arm would get fouled up around my line on the cast. How are you avoiding this?
