Mountain Maid is my favorite Army brand pancake. Basic Training was nine years ago and I still remember those pancakes. However, I still love my grandpa’s recipe.
You can add baking powder buttermilk eggs melted butter to the store-bought. It’s on the Bisquick box. Personally I make mine homemade from scratch with buttermilk and I don’t even use self rising flour I use regular flour and add my ingredients
Just got my first Blackstone for Xmas. I cooked my first meal on it today (chicken and rice) after I made a level platform for it. Now for the pancakes I have always used Krusteaz buttermilk, just make sure you use milk not silly water.
I always enjoy both types of pancakes 🥞 myself love 💕 pancakes so much my favorite breakfast 🍳 food to eat with scrambled eggs 🥚 and sausage links so yummy 😋 and delicious happy new year to you as well
We use the fast shake bottle. We don't make a lot of pancakes here, so we just add a little water and shake the snot out of it and pour on the griddle. Butter (heaps and heaps of butter) makes everything healthier. Gotta get that dairy in your diet. Lol.
I don't make them often, so i stopped keeping mixes. When i did I used Bisquik. Now when i make pancakes i make sour dough pancakes, since I always have a starter in the fridge.
I've never made Pancakes on my Blackstone, I've had an Electric Griddle for 20+ years that I use. Most of the time I'll use a Box mix, just because I DON'T have any use for Self Rising Flour, so then I have to add Baking Powder and Soda as well as the Egg, Milk and Butter. The Old Aunt Jemima ( Now called Pearl Mining or something) Buttermilk is my go too, HOWEVER I add a splash of Vanilla AND another Table Spoon of Baking Powder to 2 Cups of the mix, super light and fluffy Pancakes. I have a buddy who's whole Family works at their little restaurant, they've been around since the 70's, He uses a packaged mix, adds water and WHISKS the heck out of the batter until it's smooth and pours out pancakes as big as a Dinner plate, light and fluffy, I think some of these "old Cook's tales" are just myths. 😄
See you in Florida next month, Tiger!
Yes sir! Should be a lot of fun!
I use both. When time permits, I do homemade. If not Krusteaz is my go to box. Thanks Hussey for another great video
We're coming over with a fork!

We love a good pancake!
I’m a Krusteaz guy too! Love their pancakes and their muffin mixes.
I’ve played with my homemade recipe so I can keep a container of dry mix. One cup of mix, add an egg some milk & butter & start cooking 🥞
Delicious!

That sounds delicious 🔥
Buttermilk, carnation malted milk powder, couple teaspoons.
Thanks for the tip!

You Will Love I Have A 28 Inch
You're going to LOVE it! Welcome to the family!
Welcome to #griddlenation! Let us know what you make first!
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Same as you! Same brand of mix and syrup!
Twins!
I always enjoy both types of pancakes 🥞 myself love 💕 pancakes so much my favorite breakfast 🍳 food to eat with scrambled eggs 🥚 and sausage links so yummy 😋 and delicious happy new year to you as well
Cannot beat that breakfast at all!
We love them too!
Homemade all the way my dude!!!
Great choice!
I always use Krusteaz. They turn out well, and I don't have to gather ingredients to make homemade. My wife has made homemade but she used Buttermilk.
It's always good!
Yum!

🔥
I use big blue bag from Costco. But I add. Buttermilk vs water….. a little bit of a lump doesn’t make you a chump…. Good groceries.
I believe that Krustez makes that for Costco. It's good mix.
Yum!
Good morning all! Great topic, glad to see this. We do both in our house depending on time.
Yeah, it's great to see.
Thanks for watching!

Nice tip about having it ready to go in the fridge.
Now that sounds good!
Store bought has more additives in it. I like home made with a little vanilla added to batter.
That sounds yummy!
Homemade buttermilk every time. Dropped in blueberries if they're in season.
Nice!
Delicious!
Hussey, if you cooked it, I'd eat it !!
Same here!
Bisquick is my preference. Instead of topping them with butter I use peanut butter then syrup
That sounds good! 🔥

Cannot go wrong with the old Aunt Jemima brand. That's what we used growing up.
That sounds yummy! 🔥
The pancakes are pretty close as you mention.
There is NO SUBSTITUTE for pure Canadian Maple Syrup! - Cheers!
Happy New Year Matt!
Happy New Year!
Homemade if I have an option
Great choice 🔥
Which version does Jacob and your daughter like the most ? 🤗
We like Krustez brand!
Homemade with pecans and chocolate chips is the winner at our house.
That sounds great!
We need that ASAP
Homemade, and real Canadian Maple syrup!
Yum!
Should have used buttermilk in the homemade, it would’ve made them thicker. Better reaction with the self-rising flour.
Only reason I didn't was the bagged used milk and not buttermilk.
Yeah, but the mix is buttermilk pancake mix, which I think has buttermilk in the ingredients. 😊
A wee bit of vinegar, or lemon/orange juice will activate the leavening well.
Thanks for the tip!
I like thin buttermilk pancakes...
Yeah, you know I didn't think about the thin pancake side!
Those are great!
Personally, I like Pearl Milling company original pancake mix. Formally, the original Aunt Jemima. But I will try the homemade ingredients.
We like that too!
Rick says that first one should be extra crunchy after you dropped it. Lol
Kodiak cake mix is the best it has protein in it
That is good!
Bisquick shake n pour...
Delicious
Krusteaz brand, my family really doesn't have the time to do homemade
Agree. Way easier too!
Krusteaz is good!
A pancake is a pancake...just eat one
I hear that!
We like them all!
Aunt Jemima
That's some good stuff
There's an exact science... 3 mins first side... flip 1 min second side... bri you don't know how to make pancakes
I hate pancakes
I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan. Every once in a while I like them.
To each their own!
