    I think the time, research, and thought you put into chosing breeding pairs helps create such calm puppies. On the whole, your litters are resilient and adaptable--so cool!!

      time and research would be better spent on how to adopt out the millions of lovable dogs and cats in shelters. People need to get real and stop breeding for profit.

    I raised Scotties when I was young. My Bella, a Shichon, had her puppies Dec. 1st. She didn't act like it was time. She was eating and acting like usual....that is until she dropped poor Whiskey on the living room carpet! He was the first born, and I kept him and his sister Bonnie. I'm glad I was able to part with the other six! Thank God they all went to great homes and it was wonderful seeing them with their loving families. Love watching your videos...keep up the great work!

    good evening, I want to say how much I appreciate you, letting me see how you prepare your fur babies. Their new owners are very lucky to get your fur babies. I am going to receive my new Havanese puppy in 5 weeks and can't wait. But your videos show me how my puppy is growing in size and attitude. I can not wait to start this training and preparing my new puppy for her new life. Your puppies all did so well. Thank You so much for letting me watch.

    Wow! I wish I would have found your channel several weeks ago. My first litter of puppies are almost 4 weeks old. Can’t wait to try some of these ideas with them. I’m curious to know how you wean if your mom isn’t going back to the guardian family at 4 weeks. And do you offer them the puppy mash and water at all times initially? I also love the tray ideas I wish they were shipping sooner but I’m still going to order some for future use.

    • @DoodlesofNC
      @DoodlesofNC  ปีที่แล้ว

      The guardian does go back to their family. It is really hard to wean while they are still here!

    I have a question??? Weve tried everything I think, to get our puppy to like it’s crate…but it barks constantly…non stop for hours at night. We crate it off and on throughout the day and feed him in the crate also…we have a nice soft bed for him to sleep in right next to us and he does pretty good most of the times….but some night he just won’t sleep well…he wakes us to take him out every night around 3am for a pee and poo. He’s a little 1 year old 5lb poodle. We’ve had him for a month now. He gets plenty of playtime , sunshine, rest during the day and social with our other poodle. He eats well and drinks well and is potty trained well…..What are we doing wrong? Sleep deprived.

    • @DoodlesofNC
      @DoodlesofNC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds really hard! Have you tried cutting off his food and water around 7 PM? That way he won’t have to pee and poop in middle the night. Also, have you tried using a sound machine? Or moving the location of the crate.

    • @tinyfemaleshooter8756
      @tinyfemaleshooter8756 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes…he’s has one of those little pups like you have with a heartbeat and heat…he has a sound machine….no water or food after 7pm….no matter where the crate is he hates it in there. He sleeps in a little bed hooked onto my daughters bed at night…but since he’s new with it all he still sometimes has to be crated if he won’t go back to sleep after his middle of the night potty trip. This is week 4…and I’m learning it can take up to 16 weeks before a full routine is in place….oh poor me….haha…thank you for,your help.

    Do you think that the Doodle craze will go out of style soon? Do you ever think that the AKC will recognize them as a breed, and do you want that?

    • @DoodlesofNC
      @DoodlesofNC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know if the doodle craze will fade. They are just sweet family friendly dogs so I don’t think they will ever go away. But maybe in a decade or so AKC will recognize them.

    Erin,I had no idea before watching your videos how much testing a breeder does before the puppies are sold.Have you ever had a deaf or blind dog and if so,what happens?

    • @DoodlesofNC
      @DoodlesofNC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are programs they can use to help them. Traditionally they can live a very full life. I have not had one before.

    • @khanhhm5762
      @khanhhm5762 ปีที่แล้ว

      I work for a small breeding program; we've not had any deaf or blind dogs yet, but I have worked with both. With a deaf dog, I've used a lot of hand signals and flashing lights--the latter to do things like recall. You can also do things like stomp or have the dog wear a vibrating collar. If you have another dog in the household, you can teach that dog to go and get the deaf dog's attention. This was the case when I worked with someone who had an older dog who was both deaf and blind.
      With a blind dog, I put a bell on my other dogs so she always knew where they were. Like blind humans, a blind or deaf dog will learn to use her other senses to be aware of her environment. This doesn't mean that the other senses become more "heightened"--a human or dog doesn't suddenly develop superhearing or supersmelling powers; it just means those senses are used more to pick up information to compensate for the loss of or limited sight. So with a blind dog, you're going to have to be a lot more hands on when training, similar to teaching a blind child. Understand that it's important to know the severity of the dog's blindness and deafness to accommodate appropriately. Blindness and deafness does not automatically mean total loss of sight and hearing.

    Penny is so white-ish and I didn’t see a speck of white on any of her babies. I know white is a recessive gene but not one little tiny patch on any of the pups? This was a super interesting video so thank you. I am living my puppy obsession thru you! Lol. ❤️❤️❤️🐶🐶🐶

    I also think pink is adorable, but I get the grooming part. When we rescued a dog we chose a short hair purposely and do her bathing on our own, knowing that we didn’t have a significant budget for grooming. Things that are tough to consider when you are a kid though!

I do have a quick question : do you sell all puppies or do you only sell to other families and lend the puppies to gardian families? Thank you!
