Hi Magdad! Thank ya! I appreciate ya! Crazy how nasty it was.. I couldn't get the all the stains out of the inside..so, I ended up cleaning as good as I could then painted it yellow..🤠 thank ya sir for watching!
Wow Vick that was really pretty roached on the inside but you gave it a new life! As good as new and great "copper" color even if Lincoln is not impressed - looks like my 3 helpers ha ha
Thank ya sir! I appreciate ya watching! your helpers are probably just like mine - just glad to be there..😊 thanks for the nice comments. Have a gooden!
Hi Mr. Larry! Thank ya sir for the nice comment and for watching! Glad it seems everyone is liking the color choice and your right. It has that good stuff "the knurling"...maybe a little less now.. thanks to my belt sanding skills..lol.. have a gooden!
Wow. It looks like that was sittin in a creek for a while. Great job on the resto, perfect color pick. That's a couple of fine looking dogs there. Good music choice also. Thanks, Mike
I appreciate ya Mr. Mike! I thank ya for the nice comments! The condition of this thing is why I had to add another 199 video to utube.lol... if I'd told ya about it.. nobody would had believed it.lol.. thank ya much for watching!
Hi Mr. John! I appreciate ya watching! I am like you.. I would had never thought there be that much rust in there...thank ya sir for the kind comment! Have a gooden!
Welcome Mr. Rusty! Sorry I am just now seeing this! Ol'Link is a great Wanna b Retriever LOL - No really he is a fine dog. over the years he has saved me many steps in the field. He has been laid back like that since he was 7weeks old - but when he hears a safety click - he's wide open. lol He just turned 10 and I'm proud he owns me! Thank ya for your time - Have a good'un, Vic
Hi Mr. Armando! Thank ya sir for the nice comment. I do believe easi-out is what that tip is called.. I used the tip that was included in the greenhandle screwdriver aka scoutcrafter screwdriver that he featured on his page a month or so ago. I also appreciate you noticing that I painted the inside.. great eye my friend! Have a gooden and thank ya much, Vic
Not sure I've ever seen a dirtier utility knife on the inside........Lincoln's busy contemplating life's mysteries......Probably a little concerned about all this UFO talk lately.
Hi Sir! Lol..your probably right about old link! Hehe.. getting this 199 open was harder than Chinese math.... I think the dollar he paid for it was too much.. lol..thank ya for watching! I do appreciate ya! Have a gooden!
New subscriber here to support a fellow creator! I found you on DiYRest TUBE's channel and glad I did. Great job with this transformation! What did you spray before using the wire brush? The color turned out looking awesome!
Hi Mr. Phil I like rusty stuff too! Love it actually... the alcohol is used as a cleaner prior to slapping some paint on there.. it helps remove hand oil and other micro dust and gives u a very good platform that allows the paint to adhere giving you a great chance to have a good quality paint job. Tha is for watching and I hope I was able to explain why i use it anyways.. have a good'un
Mr. Tony, I'm not sure. I tried Google looking for an answer and gave up. I'm guessing here so take it for whats its worth but I'm gonna say the the diffe6is age. Now with that said I'm not sure which way would be the oldest. Sorry I'm no help.
I don't understand....How did you restore a knife that went down with a sunken pirate ship and lay resting on the sea floor since the Golden Age of piracy.....when those knives weren't even produced then? Nice looking finished product!

@@bigvicsworkshop Thank you and you too!
That did look good in the end Vic, excuse my ignorance but I've so far only been what Scoutcrafter would call a patina boy, why the alcohol to clean?

What's the difference between the ones that say MADE IN USA, BLADES INSIDE & 10-199 USA, BLADES INSIDE? Mine doesn't say 10-199.?
