Your videos always bring me peace and take me away to a place of calm. Wondering and discovering the wonders of the past makes me appreciate the time line we are travelling, appreciated always.
Thanks so much for tuning in - always appreciate your support and kind words. This is definitely the most hidden church ruin I’ve visited to date - if you didn’t know it existed in the first place you’d never know it was there 🙂
Thanks Mirella - this is a really enchanting ruin - beautifully preserved inside despite its dereliction - some people have said in the past they felt an oppressive atmosphere here - but to me it’s seemed calm and peaceful 🙂
We visited this place a quite a few years ago. Wasn't so grown-over then and not fenced off. Very atmospheric place, always thought it would be a good location for a Hammer Horror style film!
Hi Ian - thank-you for commenting - nature has really taken hold here over the past few years - a wonderful time capsule and remarkably well preserved inside with even some wall art remaining - long may it survive 🙂
We investigated here a few years back and filmed some of the activity. Really lovely place and if you are lucky, some great mists and orbs as well as EVP's
Cheers Darren appreciate you tuning in and commenting - there’s not too many gravestones visible now but from memory the ones I saw were dated to the 19th century - some graves located there do date as far back as the late 1700s though
Hi Matt - it is sad - some of the graves are relatively recent too - recent enough to have living relatives for sure - thanks for commenting and watching the video
My grandfather was, to my knowledge, the last person buried there is 1986. He had a double plot with my grandmother, who did in the 60s. I would love to visit the grave but can't get access. 😢
Hi Andy - thanks for sharing this - it is a shame - the graveyard is so overgrown now most of the gravestones are no longer visible sadly - thank-you for tuning in
Hi Sam. Sadly not although some of the side windows were very overgrown so unless some remnants of stained glass were hidden but I don’t think so unfortunately - it seems the ruin has deteriorated quite a lot in the past couple of decades or so from what I’ve been told by people commenting - some wall art still survives though!
When holidaying in Norfolk, we used to pass by this regularly, in 1983, it was roofless, but otherwise intact, and clear of vegetation, I have seen pictures from 1978, when it was abandoned, with holes in the roof. Out of respect for you not wanting to name the site, I will not provide links
Hi thanks for sharing this - it is a shame the vast majority of ruins were de-roofed - there is the odd one or two church ruins which have survived with the roof still attached but they are get much in the minority nowadays - thank-you for your interest!
Hi Greg - I’ve been careful with the location of this particular church ruin purely because it sits directly behind a house and they were kind enough to allow me permission to visit. So out of respect to them I didn’t want the ruins to become overrun with a sudden influx of visitors. Unfortunately the ruins are in fact fenced off now anyway - I first visited the interior a good few years ago now - most of the places I visit on the channel are named, this is one of a few that aren’t - whenever I don’t directly name a location be sure to know there will be a good reason for it
Hi sadly this church is no longer accessible and has been fenced off - it hasn’t been named on the channel because it sits adjacent to a private garden
Great video i very much enjoyed
Thanks very much 🙂 - surprising how quickly this church has been overtaken by nature as it was only deroofed in 1980

Great video as always. Did you see how old some of the graves were?

That's sad no one it taking care of the grave site. That should be maintained atleast.

I visited here around 15 years ago, I thought there were some stained glass windows intact.
