Chromatin = DNA + RNA + Histone Proteins Chromatid = Newly copied DNA attached to the parent DNA in the Chromosome structure Here, instead of using the term “Chromatin”, we have used “Chromatid” because, we are describing that the cell is about to undergo cell division. This means, the DNA is already replicated. Assuming that the replicated DNA will gradually undergo condensation, and then form the classical chromosomal structure, we have directly mentioned the replicated genetic material as Chromatid. Also, we have mentioned that the thread like structure is chromatid here, because we have shown an image of the threads before condensation. Thus, tangled threads of DNA, which are newly replicated, but not yet condensed are addressed as “chromatids” here! Also, as we are assuming that the DNA is replicated, we have shown the Bivalent structure of chromosomes, where the 2 sister chromatids are attached to one another. With this, we have reduced the number of intermediate steps that are a part of the topic “Cell cycle and cell division”, and not Genetics. Hence, the term “Chromatid” instead of “Chromatin” which even helps us show the bivalent chromosome structure for better understanding!
So is it like this? ⬇️ 1. Chromatin - single stranded 2. Chromatid - daughter chromatids i.e. *'double stranded'* 3. Chromosome - higher order of DNA organization Do tell me whether I'm wrong or correct, its really urgent
@@Fahad-tn1el higher order of dna organisation means the last stage of conversion of chromatin into chromosomes (just before division) So I already know whatever u meant to say

Chromosomes are intracellular structures that contain DNA and many genes. A gene is part of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) that contains a code for a specific protein that functions in one or more types of cells in the body (see Genes and Chromosomes for a discussion of heredity). Genes contain instructions that determine how the body is supposed to behave. With the exception of certain cells (for example, sperm, egg, and red blood cells), each human cell contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, for a total of 46 chromosomes. There are 22 pairs of non-sex chromosomes (called non-sex chromosomes, numbered chromosomes, or autosomal chromosomes), and one pair of sex chromosomes. Sex chromosomes determine whether a fetus will become male or female; A pair of X and Y chromosomes give birth to males (XY), and a pair of X and X chromosomes give birth to females (XX).
RIGHT!! This one comment is more accurate about the Gene and DNA part especially cuz not only the gene part contain DNA but whole chromosome is made of DNA and a region of DNA which codes specific protein are called GENE.
@@kaushikkr.sarmah82 Yes, Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule that contains the biological instructions that make each species unique. And Genes are short pieces of DNA that carry specific genetic information. Genes are actually segments of your DNA.

Such a helpful video! Only thing I'd like you to look into is how you say that genes are long segments of DNA molecules. I believe genes to be short segments of DNA molecules. Thank you again.

4:26 Q) what is the sequence of DNA molecule called? A) Gene ✅ 4:43 Many Genes come together to make chromosome ❌ (not necessarily gene) cuz its just a portion on chromosome that codes protein not a whole building block for chromosome Chromosome is made up of DNA and Histone protein. Gene is the portion of DNA which is made up of specific sequence of nucleotides, which codes a specific protein. (and that make us unique)
