  • GoPro Test Ride on my 1967 R69S which I'd Rebuilt, but left unrefurbished. Scooted through town, chatting with folks along the way...& then home again home again...

Hi buddy, would you take an advise from an old timer ? I guess you said yes, so here it is, your gear box will be almost noiseless if when going up instead one step you do it in 2 quick steps, quickly pausing at half way. Also, when down shifting release the throttle and quickly rev it up while down shifting in a single stroke, then release both the throttle and the clutch lever, keep going that way until you accelerate again or downshift the same way. About the brakes, they can not be compared with today´s brakes, but BMW twins were the best braking bikes of their time. Thanks for posting this beauty and take care.

Thanks Walter! I saw it. Lots of fun! :-)
Try to use around the mount this white elastic thingy that Gopro has so you avoid the "rattling" noise...

Hi Walter, The bike sounds fine and moves out well...I'm curious, what kind of rear seat do you have? I've never seen one quite like it. Thanks James Zi

I only recenty found out about this motorcycle and i love it (especially the '30-'40 stile seat) but it has DRUM BRAKES and even on my scuter they're bad,let alone on a 150 kg moto.
How long it takes you to stop from 100 km with both brakes on ?
How manny do they produced ? Are they easy to find ?
How much does it cost one with functioning mecanics even if it takes a bit of care ?
