I have to say for a newer band they have amazing stage presence. That is really the most difficult thing to pull off especially on a small stage like this.

Sonia was definitely NOT killing it that day. This is the first decent audio live recording I have heard of them and I lost count of how many mistakes Sonia made. Was she drunk on that night or was I just unable to detect her slip ups from other smartphone recordings ?!? Seraina kicked ass as usual. I wouldn't expect anything less from her she is amazing - best metal vocalist after Floor Jansen for sure. It took over 10 years for Floor to get recognized by the wider metal community, Seraina has to be patient her time will come you can't contain talent such as this.

@@lug23 I personally think she left a bit too early. She could have done one more album and sang at 2019 Wacken at least. Being at Wacken would have given her much needed exposure. Her new work with Dead Venus is excellent and I enjoy listening to all of it however it is a very niche genre and I'm afraid she won't get the recognition she deserves as only BW fans know about her atm.

I seen a video from a millennial, talking about some metal band and he goes on to say, the guitar solos were to long, guitar solos are what makes metal great, how millennial metal bands have proper guitar solos, these ladies are playing, proper metal, the way it should be played, 80s style, metal got poisoned by all sorts of fake guitar groups, were lazy journos, because they played guitar music must be metal, when that's not the case,
The 80s was when metal was metal, then it got ruined by fake metal, and I Use metal as that what the music press would have you believe it was, it a sound a vibe that most music doesn't have and Burning Witches had that sound and vibe, bet if you asked millennials if Burning Witches or Linkin Park were metal, they'd say Linkin Park, because they've been brainwashed to think that the 80s metal was a joke, and this new stuff is metal, when it's not, so give it another name, hip hop Rock or pop Rock but not metal, whats been played here is metal, that's why I say millennials don't know how to headbang, you can say I'm wrong if you want, but modern guitar music is not metal, Burning Witches have the 80 vibe that was metal.
