Man I want to thank you some much. I’m parents truck was in a dealership for 3 months and thousands of dollars later they couldn’t fix it. That same fuse fixed the problem. Thank you!!!
Saved me from almost paying $500 in parts. Was about to buy a new PCM, a new alternator, a new starter, new battery 😂. It’s running, but I still have the codes, I’ll look into it more.
Very nice diagnosis, I must say! Do you have any idea what year range that might be most likely seen on? I do a very large number of Ford trucks and I have not seen this yet, but I will be keeping my eyes open from here on out. Again, nice diag and thanks for posting! 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I am not sure on the year range, but more maybe can be picked out by the type or style of pcm.... this could possibly be more attributed to happen on the 3 plug pcm's compared to the 2 plug ones. Although any module that receives around the 7.5v's seems to be the threshold for acting funny. I did another video on a bmw that keep losing key recognition in the immo module due to voltage dropping right at that 7.5v's range. Thanks for watching and hope that helps with the question.
