At this moment in time I will not be making a jugg guide. It's extremely time consuming and I get SLAMMED with questions on my twitch so I'd prefer to save this for next league. I'll investigate into making a build guide (not as detailed as the inquisitor) after the patch notes we get in around 2 months. Remember you can always import my profile to access any of my characters. In the end it's very hard for me to compare what I like more as my previous ssf experience with inquisitor is not really valid since they have massively changed the state of crafting. What I can confirm is they both feel great once geared and both have their own strengths and weakness as explained in the video. One other thing I forgot to include is JUGG is able to go staff variant. As of now the most I can say is I think I prefer the Progression of Jugg since you get to skip going block based & it feels really good for invitation bosses. However I think I prefer inquis for certain bosses just due to the crazy amount of regen it gets.
You can also go double scepter, instead of a shield. In trade you would go Brass Dome (+5 all res if you are rich). If you go shield, I would take a rare with reservation efficiency, life and max fire res. +5 Brass Dome + such a shield is even less currency, than an Aegis.
Inspired by you, I started Jugg RF too and it honestly feels amazing to play. I am in trade league so I have immortal flesh and saffel's frame and I have not died since I got them. I have invested may be 30c so far in the build and it is a no pressure, smooth playstyle (currently in mid red tier). Thanks for the guides Pohx, i can see why you love RF so much.
Thank you for this build. So I built RF inquisitor, changed couple things because I had different items or so on, but for most part I followed your build and I can say its awesome. I was already feeling so tanky with only Rise of the Phoenix, later I got Aegis and I was clearing whatever I wanted, did simulacrum stage 23, 80% delirium maps, amazing build. Yet I built another character because I ran into a problem, my favorite content is Legion and sadly RF is very bad for that. So now I use my RF if I need to clear kalandra lakes or whatever harder content. All in all really good build and I might play it again next league
i wanted to thank you for making these guides and builds i followed that RF Templar build and im 81 level already . thanks for making this league awesome. THANK YOU
Thanks ! I'm currently playing Jugg RF and have no regret : build feels amazing ! Especially with Onslaught (silver flask) / Legacy of Fire boots and Infernal Cry. I still have to work on stacking more armour and single target DPS, but blasting through packs is great.
Things like that in 5:45 + lower dps (around 900k at that time) is why I keep failing Maven on my pure Fire Trap Sabo. Sometimes, there is just too much shit to dodge and the DoT to place so it's a choice between risking a portal in order to not fuck degens up or dodging, but fucking the arena instead. Got pretty close on my second attempt, but I now have almost twice the dps and it should be a breeze, but I already got burned out and I was being very unlucky with invitation bosses even with their notables on tree.
So my experience with poe has been following guide for a long time, but recently understanding the concepts in the guide and learning the mandatory vs optional gearing. I went past your RF inquis double cluster + aegis pob (used poe.ninja for ideas/options on how to min-max). I agree with your sentiment on inquis, same conclusion I reached. Jugg I've invested a lot of currency in as well (50+ divines) and the gearing was much easier earlier, but it did also have its own mountain to climb because I needed to add damage later on. I just got forbidden flesh/flame "carnage" berserk node. Haven't put on my 2 large/4 mediun clusters that I used on inquisitor yet (I'm L90), but have my RF tooltip at 850k (jugg) vs 1.35M (inquis). Fire trap is 53k (jugg) vs 95k (inquis) so far. I'll let you know how it goes when I equip the jewels and clusters, but I expect over 1M RF dmg and hopefully 100k fire trap in-game tooltip (not sure what pob dmg is, I play by feel). I will be adding that energized armour jewel in and see how that goes too! I am running alch and go essence/strongbox farm on crimson temple and have found 1 mageblood card so far. I just love seeing another build type for jugg that's not accuracy stacker. Also the way Ive planned the jugg is to allow flexibilty in how I'm feeling or content I'm doing. I will swap out my secondary weapon slot for more dmg, more tank, or hybrid. A 2nd sceptre for more dmg, saffels for more max res, or a hybrid max res/max fire res, +1 level of all fire spell gems armour based shield for best of both. I swap without relying on the resistances from saffels (gear covers resistance) and can just play how I feel any particular day. I kinda love this setup and I wish I could do this for more builds I learned SO MUCH about RF this league because of you, Pohx, that I may one trick RF from now on. Thanks for the in depth guides and I look forward to seeing what you try next league. God the communities' needed a creator like you for a while to help new players really understand cool builds like this one!
If you go in knowing you want armour bases off colour, make sure your loot filter shows up 6 socket drops to vendor. I had so many jeweller's orbs I could craft my off colours with the jewller orb method by yellow maps. Though i did get extremely lucky 6 linking it.
Very interesting info I'm pretty new to this game, started very slowly on sentinel, made a char on kalandra and got to yellow maps. Now when 3.20 comes out i'm planning on trying Righteous Fire out with a Juggernault
in a trade league situation do you think jugg gets more damage from the weapons/amulets you mentioned in the video or is it better to aim for the standard cluster jewel stuff like Burning Bright/Master of Fire/etc?
I love watching these kinds of videos. As someone who has played maybe 5 hours of POE over the last 9 years I can say it feels like I am listening to a foreign language for a lot of the video.
this build is really hard for me, im in red maps, almost full res, only need alike 20% more chaos, got dawnbreaker, legacy of fury, all gems, 5k life, but spells just obliterates me, any pack ofenemy shooting a spell is a death sentence, any clues on how i can fix this ?
I am not an expert in Rf Jugg but from the video it is really clear that armour should be Your elemental mitigation for spells. How much armour do You have currently?
Maybe I try this Jugg out. I'm sick and tired getting oneshooted in yellow maps from random Archnemesis mobs. I watch for crazy map mods, but some of these yellow mobs are just next level overpowered on their own.
Do you know how the passive bonus "undestructable" with 8 % armor reduces elemental damage work? I understand this: If you have 100.000 armor, 8 % so 8.000 armor, which gives about 20-30 % reduction, reduces elemental damage by 20-30 %. Is this correct?
Really appreciate you putting out all this Jugg content. I know it takes a lot of extra time but the Inquisitor needs a bit too much investment for me to feel comfortable taking it to endgame in SSF without dying. Thanks buddy
Sup dude? Love the content, I just rolled a RF jugg after a lot of success with RF inquis. Do you have a PoB for the jugg ? Mainly so i know which skills to level with. Just finished act 3 and single target is crap lol. Sorry if this question is asked a million times
The only thing that kills me with inquisitor is ranged attacks, my guess is because those tend to be mainly elemental and chaos damage. I got lucky with ichors and got -11 fire exposure on hit on my gloves so I dumped Shield Charge, which I hate, and switched to leap slam with hextouch and flammability. So now when I jump into a pack they get hit with exposure and flammability. This also allowed me to get rid of flamedash. Also was able to buy a 1300 armor only chest with 113 life and the right colors for RF. I can do tier 16 maps without worry but lakes are sketchy depending on the level and difficulty. For example, I did a level 80 lake and anything above difficulty 7 was incredibly hard without doing crazy maneuvers. The breaches are impossible above difficulty 7 and so are beyond bosses.
Has anyone tried rf on chieftain? How is it compared to inq and jugg for late game? Always thought cheiftain is the go to ascendancy for fire builds but want to try jugg now in ssf :)
I asked this before and got told it's because a lot of the chieftain tree can be achieved with items so it falls off late game. It's still very viable and I have a 90 jugg in normal that can do red maps no problem, but apparently inquis and Jugg are just bit better
Why did you swap to Vaal RF? I didn't see you explain this anywhere. Also why no more Vaal Molten Shell? And where are the skitterbots? Also cant find where you explain this absence, where you run tempest shield instead.
Tempest shield is not necessary on jugg because you don't need to go block. You can go block but it's really not necessary Skitterbots on jugg require more mana reserved. Most juggs take determination, malevolence, and purity of elements. If you want to add skitterbots, you need more mana reservation. Purity of elements gives you ailment immunity and 35% to all elemental resistances so you can spec for more dmg on gloves, rings, amulet easier. Not sure why the swap to vaal RF, seeing as the vaal part eats 60% of your life on use but gives more spell dmg. Maybe juggs insane Regen from prevented phys dmg allows that? Not sure on the vaal molten shell thing. These are just my guesses/observations, if someone can check and correct me so I too can learn, that would be great
This is SSF. There is no trading I don't have a 21 rf yet so i'm working with what I have (20/20 vaal rf) I don't have 2 golden oils yet to anoint charisma (this usually takes a while in SSF because you want a good enough amulet to use your golden oils on) (for skitterbots) I don't want to vaal my molten shell and lose duration if it happens to brick (since I play sc vaal ms is not that big of a deal) I run tempest shield to cover shock immune since I don't run purity of elements.
i used dawnbreaker all the way through red maps until i saved for aegis and didnt see any problem at all. I had around 50 deaths in total until i got aegis. I am surprised to hear people had issues tbh.
Went about as well as I thought it would, Jugg has enough defense that you just go ham on damage and that sails you through. The coloring is definitely an issue though, I'm wondering if you could do something with Ivory Tower,EB and MoM. Not too far from where you currently are, and there is even a helmet for EB, but that is likely doing to much. I do think though a hybrid jugg could work fairly well but definitely not on any sort of budget but high.
there's a cool thing to do this league with jugg to be immortal, you take vitality + the regen ascendency ok but if you want be thiccer than that you stack at least 60% damage recouped has life on 2 rings with the kalandra mist league mecanic the maximum on a ring is 15% so you can basically get 60 just with 2 rings and it's just so good.
ive been build both of em. more in to Jugg RF due to thick and rarely die. smooth for newbie. just need to get good gearing on regen and pure armor. bonus if can find gear with added damage.
Idk, after reaching 95lvls as inquisitor last league and jugg now, It feels like inquisitor was much more tanky with aegis aurora and divine shield (ez 30wave), than jugg with saffels frame, brass dome and immortal flesh
I want to try RF with the Chieftain instead. Huge regen, any Warcry generates Endurance Charges, 20% damage taken as Fire, I don't see why it couldn't work.
if you respec with aegis and the build feels worse you are unfortunately doing something wrong. Aegis should make your character like a literal god. Do you have 75/75 spellblock/block and shock/freeze immune?
